07-25-2017 (Tuesday) FORGIVEN

Jennifer goes to see Brady; she asks why he keeps shoving her and Eric together – she accuses him of trying to put her between Eric and Nicole, saying he must be concerned about them being together.  He admits being a little bit jealous.  She says admitting the problem is the first step; he apologizes and she accepts his apology.  Brady says he is IN LOVE with Nicole and anything that threatens that makes him jealous; when he mentions that they kissed, Jen is surprised.  Brady realizes Eric hadn’t mentioned that to her.  She admits to Brady that she suspected Eric may have some residual feelings for Nicole, but she tells him that Eric is struggling and needs his brother.  Eric takes the letters from Nicole and tells her she doesn’t have a right to be looking through his stuff; she explains she was just looking for a tissue.  She asks what they are and questions why he never sent them.  He tells her just to get back to work; she says fine.  Still, he tries to explain how he tried to find the words; she asks if it helped.

He says the night of the party, what Daniel said to him – he says that’s asking for forgiveness for something that’s unforgivable.  He pulls out a lighter and starts to light the letters on fire; Nicole screams, “no.”  She tells him she realizes that he loved Daniel too, and it wasn’t fair for her to want him to suffer like she did.  She says it was easier to hide behind her anger, but she knows that’s not what she should do – she asks him to let her read the letters.  He concedes and gives them all to her.  The letters say that he didn’t just lose his best friend that night, he lost himself too; his guilt rises and sets with the sun and is in every breath he takes.  Jen tells Brady not to let jealousy get in the way of his happiness; he tells her not to let pride get in the way of hers.  Nicole thanks Eric when he comes back in the room, for letting her read the letters.  She says she should go and asks if she can keep the letters; he says yes and hands them back to her.  She tells him she forgives him, almost crying, and leaves.

Chad stands in his room, looking rather lost; Gabi comes in and notices… he says he has a lot on his mind.  He tells her he lied to her; she flies of the handle and starts guessing all kinds of stuff about Abigail – he tells her that her brother stole from him.  He tells her about the picture Abby showed him; she questions why he didn’t tell her.  Chad says he was protecting her; but he says, it’s out of his hands now.  There’s nothing he can do about it.  She freaks out, wanting to go to the station to see Dario; he reaches out and hugs her, and holds her.  She wonders if this is going to change everything… for Abby and Dario.  Chad says he thinks it will take more than Dario breaking the law to split that marriage up; he leaves.  Gabbi finds Abigail’s ring on the floor of the room.

Rafe tells Dario he doesn’t want to hear a word from his mouth; Dario says he thinks he will.  He says he wants his phone call first though; Rafe calls him a crook.  Dario says he has a get-out-of-jail free card; he says he promises he isn’t the worst person they know.  Rafe tells him to go ahead and talk.  Raines tells Rafe that he and Hope are off the case; he says it has “stink all over it” with him being the accused’s brother.  Eli speaks out and says actually, this is an FBI investigation and he is in charge.  Raines says he can’t just shut him out now; Eli says he is sorry, but he’s pulling rank on this one – he takes Dario into the interrogation room.  Dario tells him he wants to make a deal.  He tells Eli; he swears the information is rock solid.  Eli tells him he might want to consult with his attorney; Dario says his attorney does what he wants.

Abigail calls to find out when she can see Dario; she says he must have his phone with him – she tells Theo he has to find a way to get into that phone – Dario could be using it right now, to hurt Chad.  He inquires about the picture; she tries not to tell him at first, but then confesses that it is a picture that implicates Chad in Deimos’ murder.  Theo says Chad wouldn’t kill anyone; she reminds him that they were all drugged that night.  He says maybe the picture was photo-shopped; Abby says she doesn’t think so.  Theo vows to find the photo, somehow.  She thanks him and says she has to get going; he tells her everyone knows Dario is a liar and he says the photo won’t be there for him prove anything.  She thanks him again.  She goes to the station and finds Hope and Rafe; she sees Dario’s phone on the desk.  She asks if she can have it; they tell her it’s part of evidence.  Eli tells her she can go in to see Dario; he’s asking for her.

Theo gets in, and finds the photo on Dario’s phone (how, without the phone, I don’t know)… Dario tells Abigail that he hasn’t said anything about Chad, yet.  He tells her he has someone else, who he turn in, and go into the witness protection program; she asks if he won’t ever say anything about Chad and he says, “not if you come with me.”
