07-18-2016 (Monday)

Dario attending bar… Bianca comes in and sits down.  He asks if she is there looking for his brother – she says no; she was just walking by the place and thought she may stop by and have a drink.  He speaks to her in Spanish, and then translates, “you’ve got the hots for my brother.”  She says a lot of women probably find Rafe attractive; she may like him, but she is realistic.  He seems very in love with Hope; he asks if she is going to stay…she says yes.  He tells her she’ll get bored; she asks what brought him back (his family, he tells her).  She says he is very different from the rest of his family, especially Rafe – he’s like a bomb waiting to explode.  Nice choice of words.  

Aiden sits, on the floor of his hotel room, trashed, looks beat down… I may have missed something big.  Sorry y’all.  Andre tells him to cheer up; he has good news about their friend, Rafe, mentioning that it looks like he had a disagreement with the room décor.  Aiden says Hope knows now that he lied and there is no chance for them; it doesn’t matter if Rafe is around or not.  Andre tells Aiden that Rafe is no longer with them – he died.  Aiden says he never told him to kill him… asks what Andre did (and asks if he covered his tracks); this can’t lead back to me, he says.  Aiden complains about losing the women he loves… Andre says, “in more ways than one… I’m so sorry for your loss.” 

Adriana comes into the bar, as if she knew her friend was there; she asks her if her sister got a hold of her… she has called many times trying to reach her she says.  Bianca says she keeps her ringer turned off at work.  Adriana brings up an old boyfriend who is looking for her; Bianca says its no big deal.  Adriana is getting worried and goes to call Rafe.  Bianca calls someone… worried Guillermo is trying to find her.  She them if he asks about her to please say they have no idea where she is; Adriana still insists she would be perfect for her son, if it weren’t for Hope.  Dario asks if everything is ok; she looks like she is hiding something.  

Shawn shouts frantically at the entrance of the building where Rafe was being held; he coughs.  The team comes in; bomb squad says there is no other bomb… they find Hope’s phone and hand it to Shawn.  Rafe carries Hope through a doorway that didn’t collapse; she is knocked out, but doesn’t look badly hurt (certainly not crushed, as one would think).  In the rubble, Shawn and Roman find the chains that Rafe was bound with; Hope comes to; she says she remembers a trap door, and climbing down a ladder but that’s all.  Rafe says that’s when the bomb went off.  As Andre attacks Aiden, taking him to the floor and standing on his throat, Hope begins to struggle to breathe; she passes out.

07-15-2016 (Friday)

Teresa talks to her mom on the phone… no word yet, no sight of Tate and no call for ransom.  Shawn hangs up with no answers as well.  Local force is stretched thin and FBI won’t get involved until tomorrow; Teresa is falling apart (sobbing).  

Victor demands his people check in every hour.  John comes to tell him that they tore apart Summer’s hotel room and interviewed the staff; found nothing.  But they did find Maggie in the elevator… she wants to help and asks if they have any idea who took him.  They tell her everything is pointing to Summer.  Justin now interrogates Aiden; was there a backup, other than the neck tie?  Aiden swears he didn’t do it… he still proclaims he’s innocent; he would never try to kill the woman he loves.  

Andre sits down at a desk looking at the monitor, as Hope kneels beside Rafe.  Rafe tells her to go; there’s no time… she refuses, and says they are going to figure this thing out together.  The bomb goes off.  Summer goes on the run.

07-14-2016 (Thursday)

Brady questions Dario about where Summer might be; he says he doesn't know – she is a free spirit.  Teresa gets tired of waiting and goes to Titan T.V.; she offers a reward for her son’s return.   Julie and Doug give Jennifer the names of various lawyers who could help her fight for custody of Thomas, since Chad is incapable of hearing reasons right now (as far as she is concerned).  Chad knocks at her door, asking what she thinks she’s doing.  Aiden is arrested (I missed for what, sorry).  Roman tells Justin that Hope needs to be the one to interrogate Aiden; she goes in.  He lied to her, she says… it was him that night, on their wedding night – he did try to kill her.  She says she’s going to make him wish he never came back to Salem.  Rafe is still in chains, hooked to a wall, with 58 minutes on the timer of the bomb on the table in front of him.  

07-13-2016 (Wednesday)

Nicole sits a table, waiting for Dario; when he shows, she tells him that Deimos promised her he would tell the police he is alive.  Philip calls Kate, asking if she is the one who pushed Deimos in the river)… Chloe told him she did.  Deimos fires Kate from her position at Titan Industries; she says they have unfinished business.  She demands her old job back; Deimos tells her to leave Titan quietly, after returning all the money she stole.  She accuses him of setting her up, and lying to her.  

Teresa is sure Summer is behind her drugging and Tate’s disappearance; Brady tells her they have no proof of that.  She gets mad at him for defending Summer.  Belle tries to comfort her; Brady tells Shawn and Belle that it is possible Summer is behind this  Philip listens to Chloe sing; asks her how she would like to be famous.  He offers her a record deal.  Nicole talks to Dario; he introduces her to his father, Eduardo.  Tells his dad he will take the job running the club, but only because he needs the money right now.  Eduardo hires Nicole to do interior design of the club, at Dario’s suggestion.  Nicole tells him he could have been nicer to his father; says everyone deserves a second chance.

John contacts everyone he knows, looking for Tate; Paul helps.  They discuss all possibilities, including the black market.  Brady shows up, asking Paul if he can contact Summer(?).  Ramon is surprised when Deimos walks into his office, with Kath no less… they sit down.  Deimos assures Ramon that Nicole did not push or harm him in any way; claims he was drunk and fell; Kate misunderstood what she saw – Kate agrees.  For now, Deimos goes along with Kate’s story of the marriage (though I’m not sure why).  When Nicole goes to see Roman, he tells her that Deimos did clear her, but that he said they did get married… Nicole is shocked (she knows that’s not true).  “Dominique” shows up at Summer’s door, asking if she has what they requested; Summer says yes, adding that she hopes she has what they agreed on.

07-12-2016 (Tuesday)

Hope and Aiden get home; he reassures her that he is not pushing, but asks if they can do dinner.  She passes on his offer, but says they are moving in the right direction.  As Chad sleeps, he recalls Andre telling him about the downed plane, envisioning Abby, him holding Thomas, Jen coming in and telling him Abby is dead – she says he killed her.  He screams No!  He wakes up.  Jen is there, but assures him it was just a dream.  Rafe (where ever he is) is knocked unconscious and falls to the floor; it’s Andre.  He sets a bomb up on a table and tells Rafe to try to get out of this one…although he’s still out cold.  Andre gets a phone call, ignores it, then listens to it.  Rafe wakes, chained to a wall, with his arms bound together.  He calls out; Andre watches from a distance; he smiles.  Rafe looks down to see that he is wired up to the bomb.  

Jennifer tells Chad he needs to hold it together; his anxiety is affecting Thomas.  She asks to take the baby for a couple of days; Chad is offended and says no.  She pleads with him to be reasonable, but he refuses to let her take him; he puts Thomas down for a nap (the baby playing Thomas now is cute). When he takes him out for a walk in the stroller later, a lady asks where mommy is today – Chad recalls the letter again; starts to feel light-headed and sits down.  His phone rings; it’s the search team… he tells them to add more men if necessary.  Julie and Doug tell Jennifer she may have to sue for custody, for Thomas’ own good if Chad doesn’t pull himself together.  Julie and Doug continue to talk about it; Jen says she should talk to Chad again; says she’d rather avoid a battle.  But then she comes home and announces her decision; calls Chad to tell him she is filing for custody.  

Shawn tells Hope that Tate Black was kidnapped; she asks for the file.  He also gives her an envelope and tells her he is sorry(?).  Hope looks through the envelope – it’s blood work on Aiden; it’s a match… but for what?

07-11-2016 (Monday)

Ciara tells Claire that Abby is gone; Chad is on the phone still trying to find her.  Ciara recalls Chad reading the letter.  Claire accuses Ciara of being in love with Chad and wanting to get involved with him; Ciara denies it, but not very well… then admits that she’s right.  Teresa a Brady search the park, frantically looking for Tate.  Shawn suspects that Teresa was drugged; asks Brady if there’s any chance she is using again.  Brady says no.  Brady calls Victor to ask if he had anything to do with Tate’s kidnapping; he says no.  Chad presses Andre for more information; he tells Chad a woman matching Abby’s description was seen boarding a plane that went down over the ocean.  Chad refuses to believe it was Abby.  

Victor shows up at the park and starts yelling at Teresa; she’s crying uncontrollably.  Shawn tells everybody to go home, but Teresa refuses to leave until she finds her baby…panics at the thought of the person who has him no having the patience for his little temper tantrums.  She faints; they take her to the hospital and do blood work.  Marlena says she can go home; Brady tells her to go rest.  He goes to the square where he sees Ciara, with Thomas in a stroller that looks just like Tate’s – he runs over to it, disappointed.  Claire talks to Theo; tells him Ciara doesn’t want to see him right now, maybe not for a while.  JJ comes to search the mansion; Chad is mean to him.  He says he’s afraid they might be too late already.  JJ asks for contact information with the charter airline Andre is talking about; says he’ll check it out.  Shawn tells Brady there were, indeed, drugs in Teresa’s system.

07-08-2016 (Friday)

Summer runs through the park, not watching where she’s going and bumps into Dario; he sees the bag and asks her if she changed her mind… he begs her to tell him that she is not going to kidnap the baby.  He tells her the best thing for her to do is just “bounce” – she says she knows what she has to do.  Teresa feeds Tate; Brady comes into the kitchen (both apologize).  Teresa tells Brady she wants to take Tate to the park again, since it isn’t hot outside today; says she could get some work done.  Brady snaps, “no!”  She stares.  So he does blame her for falling asleep the other day, she realizes.  He calms down and agrees to let her go, but says “no working.”  

Rafe and Shawn look for comparisons to other fires suspected to be arson and note the ‘common markers’ for suspicious activity this past week.  Somehow Shawn turns the conversation to one about his mom and tells Rafe he hasn’t spoken to her in a week; and the truth is, that he wishes it was Rafe she was with still.  But at least Aiden finally told her the truth, he says; Rafe wonders if he did.  Aiden tells Hope good morning; she has a silly smile.  He tells her sorry and says he wants to make up for last night; brings her breakfast.  After talking for just a few minutes, Aiden realizes Hope wants to cut their trip short and go home.  Teresa sits on a park bench, sketching and talking to Tate in his stroller; she falls asleep again.  This time, someone takes the baby.

07-07-2016 (Thursday)

Deimos plays the piano; Kate walks into the room… he smiles and says, “rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated.”  He recalls the events of that evening – their supposed marriage, etc.  He asks, “no welcome back?”  Kate claims she was in shock; of course, she’s thrilled he’s back and so happy he’s okay.  Hugs him (fake as can be) as he coldly stands there, stone-faced.  Andre comes to see Chad; Chad apologizes, and tells him he has just been a mess lately.  Andre says he understands the need to blame someone; Chad says he was wrong to accuse him (though he still suspects him).  Andre comments how hard it is to be abandoned by someone you counted on to love you; Chad says he is so lost without her.  Andre tells him he’ll get over it… he tells him what Abby was like when she supposedly gave him the letter, saying she seemed scared at first, then finding resolve and strength  Chad swears to Andre that he no longer thinks he did it, because he’s not smart enough to trick her – then he laughs – he asks Andre to help him find her; says he will give him anything.  Andre says he wants “brotherly love”?

07-06-2016 (Wenesday)

Wow... another two weeks already????  I'm sorry all.  My own personal soap opera has taken over my life this month and I was still playing catch up from residency!  Lord, I think I need to come up with a title:  Don't Cross My Mother?  After the wonderful time we had on my visit there, and weeks of her telling me she couldn't wait for me to come back, I'm on her "dead" list again - and she is suing my daughter!  Oooooo, Kasey didn't ask her permission to adopt the children; now she's pissed.  Wrote a letter to the judge and got herself banned from her own property!  Yeah.  I need to start my own soap opera blog.  Alright, back to DAYS:

Shawn and Belle are making out; he kisses her neck, then her belly…and while his head is down, he turns into Philip – he looks up and says, “you know I’m the only one that makes you feel like this.”  She wakes up gasping.  Nicole and Chloe talk about their past relationships with Deimos/Robert; Chloe lets Nicole take Parker out for ice cream.  Philip gets wasted at the bar.  Chloe, who came back to Salem with Nicole and Deimos) tries to make him feel better.  She questions him as to what’s botherin him and he tells her he doesn’t want to talk about it.  He asks why she’s in town… she says she owes him an apology.  Nicole tells Parker she misses his daddy so much, sometimes she forgets he’s gone; Parker replies, “he’s not gone, he’s keeping all the monsters away.”  (Strange.)  Deimos walks into the mansion hollering “Hi Honey, I’m home!”  Kate stands in the office, with a nasty-looking letter opener/knife in her hands – Deimos starts threatening her; says he can’t wait to get his hands on her and grabs her.  She stabs him; he falls to the floor with the knife in his chest.  But then it shows her still standing there, holding the knife; it’s clean, and she opens a letter.  What a fantasy!

07-05-2016 (Tuesday)

Summer sits on the floor, counting money; Dario shows up.  She tells Dario she is being blackmailed – and they could turn her in for murder if she doesn’t do what they want. (?)  She says she doesn’t want to do it though… she says she needs to disappear.  Joey is recovering in the hospital… all is okay in the end, he says.  But he is still facing charges for vandalism and skipping bail, both, at home and in California.  Steve offers to come back home, because Kayla is concerned, but she tells him she’s not ready for that; it’s just all been too much.  

Tracy and Brady are having lunch in the square; she tells him about passing out with Tate in the stroller at the park yesterday – apologizes – and promises it won’t ever happen again.  He tells her he has no room to judge; and tells her she was right about Summer.  Maggie tells Victor that she plans on forgiving Summer; he says they are better off with her gone.  Still, she asks him to find her.  Steve goes back to his office, alone.  As Summer and Dario stroll through the square, Teresa sees them and throws ‘daggers’ with her eyes.  Summer stops to tell them she’s sorry (then adds, she was honest with Brady ONCE, and says he knows what she means); she wishes them well and leaves.  Teresa wants to know what that was all about; what hasn't he told her?  He admits that Summer told him she was in love with him last week.  She gets pissed.  

Fynne (Dr. Thompson) comes to check on Maggie… she asks what he knew of Summer.  Not much, he says; but Daniel trusted her.  He tells her she should get some rest; avoid stress.  She agrees to go on a cruise with Victor “to get away for a while.”  Joey tells his mom that his dad deserves another chance – Jade comes to visit Joey in the hospital; she is crying.  Her dad kicked her out.  Joey tells her he loves her and he will take care of her.  Kayla sees Teresa in the square and stops to tell her that she is proud of how she’s turned her life around; says she has tried real hard.  Pondering, she says, “I guess everyone deserves a second chance.”  Summer talks to Dario; tells him she’s thinking… someone is willing to pay a lot of money to kidnap Tate.

07-04-2016 (Monday)

Rafe finds video of Aiden visiting Andre in jail; Rafe goes to ask Andre why.  He tells him that he knows Aiden used a fake name and came to see him; why?  JJ interviews residents and employees of the mental health facility Abigail escaped from… Ciara thought she would have gone home.  Chad doesn’t believe she left on her own.  Andre tells Chad that he saw Abby in the mansion earlier that day; claimed he tried to get her to stay.  But he said she believed she was doing the right thing; says he couldn’t stop her.  JJ accuses Chad of hiding Abby; Chad accuses Andre of taking her.  

Hope tries moving forward with Aiden (which I think is stupid, as we all know)… but every time they begin to kiss or he gets too close, physically, intimately, she sees images of the man who tried to kill her.  Aiden is afraid it will always be that way.  Hope admits it was probably too soon for them to go away together; they need to take things slower, give it more time.  Ciara asks Chad if he’s alright and he flips out a little bit… tells her to go check on the baby.  When she comes back, he shows her the letter from Abby – he thinks Andre made her write it.  Chad calls Andre and tells him he’s sorry; says they need to speak.  He thanks Ciara for being there for Thomas.  Hope chooses to leave; Aiden looks a little pissed.  He is gripping the bedspread pretty hard.  Rafe inquires into Aiden’s purchase of a “dump” downtown, as Aiden looks around an old dark building.

07-01-2016 (Friday)

SORRY!  It was my son's eighteenth birthday today and still playing "catch-up" from the time I missed during residency (while keeping up on schoolwork).  But I have a 98.85% right now in Spiritual & Religious Issues in Counseling.  SCHOOL COMES FIRST!  Ha... but I did take notes.

Back to Salem:

Deimos comes back to Salem with Nicole, but doesn’t want to reveal his presence just yet; he wants to get revenge on Kate.  Nicole is mad, but he says he knows what he is doing; she tells him if he has changed, he needs to give Victor his property back.  She tries talking calmly to him, but he just asks her to help him; asks er if it wouldn't turn her on "to see Kate get what's due."  She leaves, frustrated; he has not changed at all, she says.  Deimos proceeds with his plan.  As Hope and Aiden sleep, Aiden has nightmares - flashbacks of being taken and help captive... he wakes up screaming.  Hope asks what's wrong.  He lies, of course.  She knows he's lying; she says tell her everything or go home.  So, he supposedly tells her everything, after which she feels sorry for him again, and tells him nightmares are normal.  Aiden says nothing will ever be normal again; he knows that trust isn't there.  But, he says, she was all he could think about when he was locked up (which wins her over again).  They kiss.  He tells her he respects her enough to leave; she kisses him again - ugh.  She has another flashback and pulls away - he tells her he can't hurt her anymore; he is causing her too much pain; he starts to pack. At some point, Teresa, exhausted from work, collapses while taking Tate for a walk in the park.  Victor finds her asleep on a bench; wakes her up angrily.  Andre gives Chad a note, supposedly from Abigail, telling him that she doesn’t think she is safe to be around Thomas and that she needs to leave them - for their own good.  Nicole continues to take care of business; she runs into Kate.  Nicole asks her to please tell the police the truth; Kate berates her and tells her she can rot in hell before she tells the police she is innocent.  Andre makes threats to Rafe and then tells hiim to tell Hope he is looking for her; Rafe calls an old friend for info on Andre.  He finds out that Aiden was visiting him while he was in jail, under the fake name 'Guy Haynes'.  Andre tells Kate he saw Deimos, in the park by the Square, talking to Nicole. Deimos laughs when Nicole tells him she has changed her mind and will help him - he says he has changed his too; they agree no more retribution.

Thursday 06-30-2016

Kate comes home to the mansion; immediately feels spooked, as if someone may be there… she turns around and leaves.  (Maybe that was a premonition.)  Nicole asks Deimos to come back to Salem with her… he begs her to go back first so he can ‘plan his resurrection’ in his own way.  He promises her, he will be there; says he belongs in Salem.  Becca (or is it Bess?) gets a job at the hotel… Dario congratulates her; they talk about Rafe.  JJ and his mom talk about Abby and the trouble she is going to be in for starting the fire; they figure she probably just realized that and got scared.  JJ is concerned that Chad will find Abby first and keep her from them (not sure why).  Chad bumps into Andre and tells him of her escape; Andre offers to help find her.

Wednesday 06-29-2016

Chad is pissed that Abby is gone; how did they let her get out without being seen, he wonders.  The doctors say she is seriously ill; Chad gets upset.  Ciara tries to calm him.  Brady tells Maggie that Summer has been conning them both since the beginning… he thinks they might all be at risk now.  Theresa panics about orders; she’s yelling at someone on the phone, the turns around to see the nanny holding Tate.  She instantly changes into mommy-mode and says the nanny should be more careful about coming into the room when she is acting like that.  She decides she is going to take Tate to the park; the nanny is concerned… tells her she looks tired.  Andre prepares breakfast for Kate; she tells him not to mess with her.  Nicole goes to see Chloe to find out what’s going on – Deimos steps around the corner.  

Tuesday 06-28-2016

Hope is with Aiden at “The Lodge”; she claims to be enjoying herself, but she looks pretty uncomfortable to me.  Aiden sweet-talks Hope and gets her to laugh; he tells her take all the time she needs… he’s not rushing her.  They dance; she has flashbacks of his look-alike choking her and pulls away.  Hope assures Aiden it will get better and they start to dance again.  Summer calls Dario; tells him the sister of the man she killed in her motel room was there – she’s afraid that Brady will find out ‘Clark’ isn’t who she told him he was, if his sister talks to people they know.  

John calls Brady and tells him they need to talk, about Summer; he tells Rafe this girl came to see him and says Summer’s name is really Cindy.  Once Brady shows up, John tells him that this man, Clark, is a con-man who worked with a female partner for a long time, named Cindy (Summer).  Now Brady knows she lied to him.  Becca sits down with Rafe outside – tells him his mom is worried about him; says she told her that Hope was horrible to him.  Rafe says, she is wonderful; Becca asks, “then why are you not with her now?”  She asks him to tell her what happened.  He does; but he swears as long as Hope is happy and healthy, he is fine.  Becca calls him a liar, then gets him to get up and dance with her.  They almost kiss.  Rafe excuses himself, saying he has an early morning.  

Brady shows up at Summer’s and asks if she’s been “playing him” this whole time… says he wants to truth about Clark Bernard.  She tries to continue the lie.  He tells her he doesn’t buy her story; he asks Dario if he is in on it too, and what else he hasn’t been told.  Brady tells Summer that he is thinking now it was a big mistake to bring her there, and he thinks her brother, Daniel, would agree.  Summer tells Brady she just panicked when Clark showed… Brady tells her to leave town and not come back.

Monday 06-27-2016

Deimos walks in on Chloe’s call to Nicole; she quickly hangs up and tries to lie about whom it is, but he knows.  Nicole wonders why she would call to tell her something and just hang up.  Chloe tells Deimos that Nicole is her best friend and him denying his feelings for her won’t make them go away.

Summer is helping Maggie with her physical therapy.  Victor says they should call someone who knows what they are doing.  Summer actually gets Maggie standing, with a little help; Victor tells her to get out… Maggie gets angry.  She chews him out for treating the people she loves like crap – says he’s pushing her away.  Tells him to go!  

Teresa and Brady decide on the wedding date; August 15^th… Victor won’t be anywhere where it they agree.  Maggie gets mad, reminding them that Teresa put his father in a comma and let Brady take the blame for it.  Maggie then apologizes; she commends Teresa on the way she handled Victor; Teresa says it’s because of her.  They leave; Brady asks Teresa to curb the impulse to ‘dis’ Summer.  Maggie wants her in her life – Teresa admits that she is a little jealous of Summer.  Maggie finds Summer and asks how she is; she is upset and doesn’t want to talk.  Brady and Teresa are now picking out invitations… laughing, as Summer walks by.  Brady jumps up to try to talk to her; Teresa gets mouthy and Brady gets mad.   Nicole calls Chloe back; they talk, and Nicole tells her that she is suspected of murder, but Chloe does not tell Nicole that Deimos is standing right in front of her.  When she hangs up, she tells Deimos that Kate is trying to set Nicole up for his murder; they have to let her know he’s alive.  

Andre meets Kate in the park; a chance encounter, he swears.  He tells her he is innocent, says he’s glad she is skeptical and explains how he admires her.  He offers to cook her dinner – she asks if he is trying to poison her.  “I think not,” he says, and goes on to say he thinks they could be useful to each other.  He carries on about what Deimos might do to her if he isn’t dead (she looks a little worried).  They continue talking; she says all she’s ever encountered is false love and she has the urge sometimes, to burn all of Salem to the ground.  Then she asks him what he really wants.  Summer answers her motel room door: a lady calls her ‘Cindy’- says she is “Clark’s sister” – he’s missing and she found her address in his things.  Summer denies having seen him in “years” (as she recalls the struggle and killing him).  Summer tells her to go away.  

Carolyn talks to Victor; she tells him he is just mad because he can’t bully Brady into doing what he wants.  She reminds him that Teresa changed and he can’t call all the shots; she says he has no right to be mad because he can’t control Brady.  He then starts disrespecting Summer; he says he doesn’t think people can really change.

Friday 06-24-2016

Andre shows up at the mansion; Chad catches him taking money out of the safe.  He tells him to go; Andre asks about Abby.  He claims he still cares and wants to make amends (says they need to stick together).  Chad tells him to get out… gives him some money for a motel.  Abby tells Dr. Robinson she wants to go home; the doctor says, in time, but Ben sits across the room, telling Abby she will never get better.  Abby tells him to go away.  

Deimos recalls his confrontation with Victor (telling him that “everything” was the price of saving his wife).  As he returns to ‘reality’ he thanks Chloe for taking care of him; she asks who tried to kill him.  He tells her - Kate Roberts… he explains their relationship and says he’s glad she’s likely under suspicion.  He asks Chloe not to tell anyone that he is alive; he then asks her to go on the run with him.  He tells her he doesn’t want to be “that man” anymore; he kisses her.  She tells him she doesn’t want to get hurt; Deimos opens the door.  She kisses him; they end up on the couch naked.  

Abby dreams of going home, holding Thomas, kissing Chad – then wakes up.  Thinks about sneaking about; Ben tells her she can’t get past the guard.  She tells him she could start another fire; asks the nurse to get a magazine and steals another patient’s Bible to cause a distraction.  She laughs and tells Ben to go to hell; he tells her, run… go ahead; and adds, “I’ll always be with you!”  She freaks out and takes off her mask.  As she leaves, she is almost seen by doctor’s office; smiling, she goes out the window.  As Nicole and Dario talk, Kate comes by their table and fires her; tells Nicole to clean out her desk (as co-CEO, she could fire her even if Deimos weren’t dead, she says).  Dario excuses himself.  Nicole asks Kate if she really hates her enough to see her spend the rest of her life in prison; she says not that much, but it’s too late – she can’t admit that she lied now.  It was an accident, she said, but they’d never believe that… sorry, she says.  

Nicole tells Dario that Kate admitted it… what now?  Dario tells her he might consider his dad’s offer to run the bar; feels things have come ‘full circle’ but would want to remodel… as Nicole to help him.  Tempting, she says.  Chloe and Deimos are glowing.  Both say, nice surprise – he asks her to come with him again, start a new life, start over.  He says he wants to be with her and her son.  The he asks about Parker’s dad… she tells him, he died in a car wreck.  He realizes she was Daniel’s ex-wife; the talk about Nicole and she makes the connection.  She tells him she and Nicole are now friends and she won’t do that again; Chloe calls Nicole.

In the Square, Victor comments how much the baby looks like Brady; soon, Victor says, he will be ‘all Kiriakis’ – to which Brady replies, “that’s never going to happen.”  John tells Paul “Doc” agreed to marry him again.  Paul says he is happy for him, then asks how Joey is doing; John tells him Joey is going to be okay.  Ciara sees Chase at the psychiatric hospital when she goes to volunteer (we all knew that was going to happen).  Some old guy, named Monahan, comes into the police station to say that he shot and killed Stefano Dimira; Roman asks if Andre threatened him to get him to say this.  He says no.  Who is this man??

Once again, my apologies to my followers and fans of Days; just taking me some time to get through all of my notes and catch back up to date.  Bear with me!

In this episode, Hope walks into her living room, in a wedding dress – the scene is black and white – obviously a dream.  Ciara sits next to Chase, waiting for the ceremony to start… Chase puts his arm around her.  Hope senses something is not right.  Andre walks in, dressed as a priest, starts reciting vows as Rafe stands there as Aiden’s best man.  Rafe begins to dance with Becca… then kisses her.  Hope asks what’s going on; then she screams no ,and wakes up.  Back to reality.  

Aiden visits Chase, who is in a psychiatric hospital now; special guards are watching him.  Aiden encourages his son to focus on himself, to put everything behind him; he tells him he loves him and would do anything for him.  Ciara tells Marlena that she was thinking she would like to be a counselor in the future; Marlena suggests volunteering at the psychiatric hospital.  JJ visits Abby – she takes her mask off (her face looks completely fine).  She claims to be confused about whether she did or didn’t set the fire.  

Hope, in spite of the horrible dream she had at the beginning of this episode, asks Aiden to go an a trip with her, to Green Mountain Lodge.  Brady bumps into Victor in the square.

Tuesday 06-21-2016

Ciara recalls chess instructions (from Chad) with her eyes closed; Theo is there.  He tells her he doesn’t want to play games… he wants her back.  He asks Ciara why she is avoiding him; says he still wants to be her friend, at least.  She says she is afraid of hurting him… he thinks she is falling for Chad, and leaves mad.  At the police station, Roman brings in flowers, making a big deal about it until Rafe tells him they are not from him.  

Roman is somewhat embarrassed.  Rafe gets a little sarcastic.  Hope apologizes, says Aiden should not have sent them there – Rafe says he knew exactly what he was doing.  Aiden visits Andre in prison; says he has his life back on track (and Hope is not a threat).  He is concerned, however, that Hope might learn the true nature of their relationship; Andre tells Aiden trust must be 100%.  Andre offers to help him get Rafe out of Hope’s life once and for all.  Sonny’s mom and Will’s dad meet at the restaurant/bar.  She tells him she sold the place, at Sonny’s request.  Eduardo calls Dario, as he jingles keys in his hands.  When Dario gets there, he isn’t happy about the club purchase; Eduardo says he did it for him – so they could do something good together… figures Dario has the knowledge of running a business.  Dario angrily tells him he has not a clue about his life; Eduardo says neither does he.  Shaun and Belle tell Claire that they are back together (but not rushing anything).  

Rafe and Hope share ice cream in the park as they discuss Deimos’ case; they then reassure one another that they will always have each other’s backs… they are friends forever.  Aiden sees them talking and calls Andre to accept his offer.  As Rafe leaves, Ciara shows up.  She tells her mom, “you know he is still not giving up on you.”  Hope assures her that they will always be friends.  Ciara asks why love has to be so complicated; Hope has no answer.  (Personally, I think her trying to work things out with Aiden makes her look dumb – this is purely for drama – it is not going to end well.)  Ciara tells Hope she is thinking about getting into counseling herself so she can help others, like Marlena has helped her.  Hope thinks that’s a great idea.  Aiden makes his appearance; the mood instantly changes.  

Claire, inspired by her parents, works on a new song… Theo shows up and tells her he is worried about Ciara.  Theo listens to Claire’s new song (which is beautiful); he is impressed.  It was inspired she says.  As Becca makes lemonade and small talk, Rafe gets a call from his dad.  He walks into the bar where Dario and Eduardo are still talking; he sees no problem with the purchase.  Dario tells them they are both delusional and leaves; he is still pissed about his dad leaving twenty years ago.  Aiden asks permission to talk to Ciara; tells her he is sorry, that he was in shock and denial, at first, about what Chase did to her… sincerely apologizes.  She says he made her mom happy once, maybe he can again; tells him she just wants her mom to be happy… but adds, “don’t ever hurt her.”  Andre calls Aiden to confirm their deal.

Monday 06-20-2016

Belle tells Nicole not to be snooping around anymore; she can’t afford one more wrong move.  Belle warns her to stay away from Kate; she is now under surveillance.  Nicole says she has to make Kate pay; Dario tells Nicole, next time, they won’t get caught.  Chloe tells Deimos (formerly, Robert) that she knew the family, specifically Philip… she says Kate is lethal and the family is dysfunctional.  Chloe makes a phone call.  

Abby wakes up, recalling her dad pulling her from the fire); she recalls the room catching on fire when she “torched Ben” and asks for her dad.  Everyone just stares at her (because her dad is dead).  The she says she wants to go home now.  The hospital staff tells Chad that Abby started the fire; they are calling it arson.  Shaun questions Abby; says he may have to arrest her – Belle says she will defend her.  She believes Ben still has a hold on her, and, in Abby’s mind, she will never escape.  Chad talks to Jennifer; they discuss moving her elsewhere (Jenn fears the state will lock her up for good).  But Chad is denied the right to move Abby.  

Chloe’s son, Parker, comes home from summer camp; he invites Deimos to play a game of cards.  Deimos tells her this kid is awesome; he doesn’t know this is Daniel’s boy.  He asks Parker about his dad; Parker responds, simply, his dad is dead.  Deimos has a flashback of Kate shoving him; Chloe comes in the room and tells him he doesn’t look so good.  He tells her he wants to help, for the boy’s sake; he offers to give her some money… it pisses her off.  She tells him she doesn’t want Victor’s money.  Dario wants to kiss Nicole again; she admits it was a nice kiss, but resists.  He assures her he is there, no matter what.  Belle comes to tell them they are getting out on bail.

Brady looks at Teresa’s sketches as she naps on the couch; he kisses her and leaves, telling her quietly he is going out for a while.  She doesn’t really look asleep.  Justin goes to meet with Victor at the bar; he looks around nervously as he sits down at the table.  Victor asks if he’s afraid to be seen with him – he responds that he is only afraid he might be going to prison if anyone finds out what he did for him.  Deimos admits to Chloe that his name is not really Robert, it is Deimos Kariakis, and he is Philip’s uncle.  Summer meets up with Maggie in the square; Maggie tells her she misses her since she moved out.  Summer explains that it was just hard not feeling wanted (by Victor); she apologizes and hopes Maggie isn’t mad at her.  Maggie says she is just sad and it’s hard not being able to talk to her.  Chad and Marlene go to visit Abby; they are told that there has been a fire – the whole floor is in chaos.  When Chad asks for her by name, he is told that she was injured in the fire and is being treated.  Still in the closet, Nicole and Dario try to figure out their next move; Dario kisses her.  Kate suddenly smells Nicole’s perfume and calls her out… Nicole comes out and confesses.  Kate calls the police; Dario comes out and is arrested too.

Ciara sits at the chessboard when Chad walks in the room; he asks if she has something on her mind – she says “always.”  Jade explains to Kayla and Steve what happened; she thinks they believe it is all her fault for getting Joey to run away.  She blames herself for Joey getting shot; tells Steve if he doesn’t make it she will never forgive herself.  John tells Marlena that Joey is being prepped for surgery.  Kate comes home and Nicole and Dario hide in the closet; Philip comes over, at Kate’s request.  He asks what kind of trouble she has gotten herself into this time.  

Abby keeps seeing Ben; he walks into her room and sits down in a chair.  She hugs her pillow, as he says “Hi, Abigail” and screams “you are not here!”  She looks out her window and sees two nurses talking; not paying attention, one of them drops a lighter.  Abby runs out of her room and grabs it before anyone else sees; Ben laughs at her.  He tells her she is his forever – she will never escape – and he smiles.  She grabs a can of hairspray and screams “go away!”  She lights the lighter and ignites the aerosol spray; the can explodes in her face.

Adriana’s friend, Becca, is making salsa when Rafe comes into the kitchen; he lets her know that he doesn’t believe his mother’s story about her coming to help out.  She tells him that his mother is only trying to look out for him.  Hope comes home to find flowers in a vase (oddly no smile); seems very unsure about giving this thing with Aiden another chance, still, when he calls to ask her to go away with him for the weekend, she says yes.  Dario and Nicole talk; still no corpse.  Nicole says she wants him to be alive; Dario tells Nichole they need to find proof that he is.  

Kate has a bloody handkerchief, which she takes to the riverbank; she gets it wet and dirty and leaves it in an obvious spot to be found.    Adriana comes home; Becca takes a walk.  Rafe asks if his mother was eaves-dropping.  She starts condemning Hope for hurting him again; he tells her to stay out of his love life.  She apologizes.  Nicole and Dario look around Deimos’ house for evidence that he was framing her; she finds a piece of music and recalls him playing the piano for her.  Chloe tells Deimos that she feels like he ‘used’ her, then disappeared… he says he just got scared.  He tells her he wants to make things right with her; she says no way – she has to look out for her son.  Rafe runs into Becca at the town square; asks if she isn’t mad at his mother for tricking her.  She says she doesn’t mind; he says she should.  Victor tells Roman he and Deimos were reconciling… says Nicole came to him with this idea; claims he cut her off, and told her to stay away from Deimos.  He swears he is too old for an operatic war in the family; he says Deimos told him he and Kate were serious and they should let her have everything in the estate.

Belle and Shaun have dinner together, discussing their past and current relationship and prior fights.  They agree they need to be ‘less cop’ and ‘less lawyer’ in order to make this work.  Grandma (Caroline) is happy to see them together.  Philip talks to Victor; tries to make his apologies.  Victor tells him it changes nothing and he won’t forget his betrayal.  

Rafe and Nicole talk about Deimos; still no body has been found.  Rafe tells her that the longer it goes, the more likely it is that  they won’t find him at all.  Kate threatens to blackmail a clerk or financial records keeper – to witness her phony marriage certificate – ‘quid pro quo’ she calls it.  He concedes.  When Kate tells Philip she and Deimos got married, he doesn’t believe her story.  Deimos shows up at the house of Chloe Bjorln; former regular on Days, once involved with Philip, previously married to Daniel, and at one time, apparently also intimate with Deimos.  He tells her he doesn’t want anybody to know where he is; admits to her that when they first met, he did want information from her, but after the first night, he fell for her – wanted to stay.  Chloe adds, “until you left.”  Joey jumps in front of Jade as the gunman shoots; he is hit with a bullet.  Deimos explains that nothing was as it seemed when they first met, but he risked being caught because he loved being with her.

Alright everyone... apologies again.  My own personal soap opera has gotten in the way; I finished my residency in Georgia, then traveled on to Florida to see my mother.  Had a wonderful time, three very relaxing and enjoyable days, then made the trek back home to Texas.  For two weeks, my mom told me how much she missed me, wanted me to come back, etc.  It was so nice to have reconnected with her, after she declared me dead last year (on Mother's Day) for forgetting to check the oil in the 2003 Mazda she had given me, as partial payment for work I did on her Duncannville house in 2014.  The engine threw a rod after I'd had it only six months.  With that behind us, we were in a good place again, even though she never apologized for declaring me dead; I forgave her, because I love her.

However, two weeks ago, everything changed again.  My daughter, who has been fostering a sibling set of three (two brothers and a sister) for the past year and a half, sent a text on our group thread, telling us that the children were being put up for adoption - their biological parents are both in jail for killing their last baby while high on Meth, and the grandparents have not been able to pass classes to prove their ability to care for the kids.  Now, for the past year or so, we have had discussions between the three of us about how these kids needed to stay with Kasey... but somehow my mother remained oblivious to those conversations and when Kasey said the paperwork will be finalized in August for the adoption, my mother asked, "what adoption?"  Kasey replied, "the one that's going to let the kids stay with me."  All of the sudden, everything changed.  My mom accused my daughter and I of scheming behind her back - she agreed to 'let' Kasey foster while living in this home, but, she said, she did NOT agree to adoption!  I asked when a granddaughter had to get permission from her grandmother to have children; my mom's response was to shut off my phone.  

The last hold my mother had over me was the fact that she paid for my phone; I now have my own account and am no longer under her thumb (which upsets her).  I can take her abusing me and look past it (it's nothing new...she has been this way my entire life), but when she started being ugly to my daughter, and threatening to put my grandchildren at risk, she crossed the line.  My daughter's name is on the Deed, along with my mother and step-father she did that, so that in the event of their death, the house could go straight to Kasey without probate.  She loved my daughter so much - reminds her so much of my deceased sister, its frightening - bragged about how smart, and beautiful and talented she is all the time; and now, because she's butt-hurt about not being 'consulted' prior to Kasey committing to adopt those kids, she's going to be hateful and ruin our relationship forever??

Oh, well... on to the main soap opera of this blog:

Joey, Kayla and Steve all laugh and joke about their adventures on the road.  Then Joey gets a text from Jade saying that she needs help.  They return to the commune, but it appears to be empty; a door to a back room is locked and Joey sees someone in there – the guy who beat him up asks why he is back again; he opens the door and grabs Joey, slamming the door closed behind him.  The guy has a gun; apparently he has taken everyone in the commune hostage.  Jade begs the guy to put the gun away but he doesn’t; Joey tries to talk to him.  He is obviously dangerously stressed out; he pushes Joey to the ground.  Then he decides to use Joey as a shield; he steps out of the door and tells Steve and Kayla his demands (I guess he expects them to tell the cops).  He goes back in the room with the gun still pointed at Joey; he pushes him back on the floor.  Steve and Kayla call the police – the police are stuck in a pileup on the freeway.
