Friday 04-22-2016

Steve walks into an office, acting like it’s his; he sits a picture on the desk as he sits down behind it.  Dr. Fynn tells Kayla that her aneurysm has not subsided as he had wished; Kayla scoffs that it hasn’t gotten any bigger.  Deimos tells Nicole that Victor never loved Helena; he was using her – he wanted to use her connections to rise to prominence.  Deimos claims he really loved her, with his whole heart.  Nicole asks if she loved him back; he says yes (and she even forgave him).  When Nicole asks for what, he explains that he first set out to steal away his brother’s fiancé.  Hope meets Rafe at the pub and tells him that she questioned Deimos… she tells him what she learned, and Rafe deduces that Deimos is responsible for Bo’s death, since it was the kidnapping and torture that caused his tumor to go unnoticed and untreated for over a year.  

Nicole asks why Helena didn’t just call off her engagement to Victor; Deimos said she was afraid.  He asked her to run away with him, and then his worst nightmare came true – Victor found out about their affair and he killed her, framing him for her murder.  The kids are preparing for a school dance; Theo asks Ciara what kind of corsage she wants… she says anything he picks will be fine.  She tells Claire she’s not really in the mood for any of this; Claire tells her to stop; she reminds her that she has a right to be happy and to do normal things, like going to prom.  Joey and Jade finalize their plans to leave town; they decide to go to Los Angeles.  Fynn puts Kayla on a new anti-seizure medication and tells her to take it easy; a bad wreck is reported and Kayla insists on helping with the wounded.

Some guy hits on Ciara.  She tells him she is dating Theo Carver; he asks why, telling her that he’s kind of a loser.  She says “not as much as you are Mark” – she says Theo is the best guy she’s ever known.  Theo overhears her, and kisses her, passionately.  Deimos gets emotional as he tells Nicole about Helena and how beautiful she was, inside and out.  Nicole asks if her presence is painful for him – he says yes, but that it is comforting at the same time.  She tries to excuse herself and Deimos asks her how much Victor is paying her to woo him.  She admits that Victor asked her to use her looks to manipulate him; but she only does favors for herself.  She told him Victor used to lock her in her room and was abusive to her when they were married.  She insists she is not there on Victor’s behalf.  Deimos doesn’t really believe her, but she thanks him for a nice time anyway and leaves.

Joey found the keys to his motorcycle and some cash his dad had stashed; they are set to leave, but they start making out.  All patients from the wreck taken care of, Dr. Fynn orders Kayla to go home and insists on walking her there.  Steve meets up with Rafe and Hope at the pub; they laugh about old times.  Rafe gets a call from the station.  Steve tells her that he notices the vibe between them… and he is in favor of it if she wants to get involved with Rafe.  Steve tells Hope that Kayla called off their engagement and he has moved out; Hope says she hopes they can work things out.   Rafe takes Hope home and kisses her goodnight, telling her to keep tomorrow night open.  Joey and Jade are getting naked when Kayla walks in the door.  Kayla sends Jade home and asks what is going on – Joey says it’s no big deal.  He says he’s an adult now, he can do what he wants… says Jade is the only good thing in his life now as he goes to his room.  Mark comes back over to Ciara ‘to apologize’ for what he said and then forces a kiss on her, telling her she could do better.  Theo comes in and punches him, throwing him to the ground and punching him several more times.  

Thursday 04-21-2016

Nicole tells Brady and Teresa that Victor asked her to help get revenge on his brother; Brady tells her that he doesn’t think Maggie would want this to go on in her name.  Teresa says if anyone can pull it off, Nicole can.  Hope gets a strange phone call, asking when she is going to ‘move’ on Deimos Kariakis; they won’t say who they are.  They say challenging him head-on is the only way to get to the truth.  Chad finds out that Abby used a credit card to check into a hotel; JJ insists on going with him to get her.  Thomas is crying and Abby seems to be getting stressed out; guests are knocking on the wall telling her to shut that kid up.  Rafe shows up to see Hope; he asks who was on the phone.  For some reason, Hope lies… she says it was Shaun with an update on a case.  

Abby realizes she is the reason Thomas is crying – he can’t stay calm because she can’t.  Chad and JJ bust in the door; Abby looks frightened and tells them not to come near her.  JJ moves closer and tells her that Ben is in prison and can’t hurt her again – she says that’s what they told her before.  She is sure he will keep coming back for her.  Nicole assures Brady she would not literally be getting into bed with Deimos; Brady says he doesn’t want her involved and begs her not to do this.  Hope and Rafe agree to meet at the pub later; she has something to take care of first.  Chad calms Abby down enough to get a hold of Thomas; when Thomas stops crying as Chad picks him up, Abby gets upset and runs out of the room.  She comes right back, though… expressing to Chad how she just can’t seem to console the baby; she cries, telling him she just doesn’t feel very strong right now.  

Hope goes to see Deimos; tells him that Maggie is her aunt – he tells her he is sorry about Bo.  She inquires as to how he got all of Victor’s holdings; he tells her to ask a direct question and he will give her a direct answer.  Chad brings Abby back home; she tells her mom she is upset she didn’t know what to do for Thomas.  Jennifer explains that nobody knows what to do all the time… (it takes a village, you know) she asks Abby to let them help her.  Hope asks about Dr. Malcom; Deimos asks if she means what happened to Bo.  She asks, specifically, if he had something to do with Bo’s kidnapping and torture; Deimos tells her that his hands are clean – he was hired… and was very careful not to leave any evidence.  Nicole comes in and apologizes for interrupting; Deimos welcomes her in.  Brady is “upside-down” with worry; he says this isn’t Nicole’s fight, it is his.  Teresa begs him not to get involved.  He tells her he owes Victor and Maggie everything, and it’s his turn to pay them back.  Hope asks Nicole what business she has with Deimos; Nicole tells her ‘none of hers’.  Nicole asks Deimos out to dinner – he says he would love to entertain her, but doesn’t want to start out with a lie.   JJ tells Jennifer that he is worried about her; she denies needing help or having a problem.  

Abby tells Chad she is sorry… she knows she put the baby in danger, but she just wanted Ben to go away.  Chad tells her he understands and assures her that he thinks she is an amazing person and an amazing mother.  Abby realizes that she does need help and agrees to go to the hospital for treatment; she hugs her mom and JJ goodbye.  Brady talks about how weird life has gotten since Daniel died; he tells Teresa she and the baby are the only things that feel right – he feels like there is something more he’s supposed to do.  Deimos asks Nicole what her ulterior motive is for being there… she tells him the way he looks at her is a little uncomfortable, but also a little fascinating.  She says she wants to hear more about Helena (the woman she looks so much like).

Joey finds Jade in the park…she apparently has ‘daddy issues’.  Steve is packing his bags.  Summer stares at the charm she stole from Maggie as she recalls Maggie’s admission about her choice to give her away.  Maggie demands to know the truth from Teresa; Nicole tells Victor that Deimos told her she looks a lot like a woman from his past – she wants to know what that’s all about.  Victor wants her to go after Deimos; she asks what’s in it for her since he has no money left to his name.  He tells her since she looks so much like this other woman (Helena), she should seduce him, make him fall in love with her, marry him and take him for everything he’s got.  Nicole looks horrified.  She tells Victor she is not that kind of woman anymore; she worked really hard to put her colorful past behind her.  Victor tells her it would be a worthy cause – so he could hire the best doctors for Maggie…he tells her all of Maggie’s suffering is because of Deimos and says he will make it worth her while in the end.  She leaves, stunned at this proposal.  

Kayla and Steve talk about pictures, and her health (keeping the secret from Joey); she leaves the room and Joey walks in.  He asks Steve if he’s really just giving up.  Summer shows up at the hospital, but doesn’t tell Maggie she’s there.  Brady asks her to come with him, so he can talk some sense into her.  Teresa brings Maggie into Victor’s room; she confronts him about Deimos blackmailing him into giving him the house.  She’s mad that Victor thought he could keep her from finding out.  She asks what Deimos has on him – he tells her, it was her.  Steve says he is going to give Kayla a chance to miss him, but he swears he will be back.  Joey is mad at his mother now.

Brady takes Summer home; he explains that maybe Maggie is just as scared as she is.  He suggests Summer might just be dragging this thing out to keep him feeling sorry for her.  Maggie asks Victor to explain; he tells her she is in the wheelchair because of Deimos – he tells her Deimos was poisoning her, that’s why she didn’t feel right, why she fainted and got dizzy and fell.  He tells her he blackmailed him in exchange for her life; Maggie is touched that Victor gave up everything so that she could live.  Summer asks if he thinks she is ‘working him’ like Teresa does; he admits that he is questioning her, yeah.  Maggie figures out how Deimos got to her pills… she left him alone with her purse briefly one day.  Maggie tells Victor she is up for getting revenge; Victor smiles.  Joey meets Jade back in the park and tells her his dad is gone; she complains about how her parents are treating her and suggests that they just take off together.  

Meanwhile, Kayla runs into her doctor (Fynn) as she heads out the door; he asks her to make him a cup of tea.  She agrees.  Kayla tells Fynn she needs to tell him something.  She gets up to refill his cup and faints and falls to the floor.  To Maggie’s surprise, Victor tells Maggie that he is not going to raise a finger against Deimos.  Brady explains to Summer that Teresa wasn’t very easy to like when she first came to Salem, but he grew to love her because she changed – stressing that people can do that.  Then he tells her she should really go see Maggie.  She gives Maggie the charm she stole and admits that she took it from her.  Maggie tells her she understands; she still wants a chance to get to know her.  Jade convinces Joey that running away might bring his parents back together because they would be so worried; he agrees to go with her.  The episode ends as Victor pulls out an old handkerchief with the initial “H” on it.

Tuesday 04-19-2016

Brady and Justin talk about Victor giving everything he owns to Deimos; they know something doesn’t sound right about that.  Deimos calls Kate; she asks him to join her for coffee in the square.  Philip sits down with her.  Nicole comes to visit Maggie; Maggie tells her the surgery didn’t work – she is never going to walk again.  Teresa overhears.  Maggie is more concerned about how Victor is going to take the news.  Philip tells Kate she is stupid for flirting with Deimos… asks her if she knows how he managed to get his hands of Victor’s estate and wants her to help him get it back.

Chad gets home; Marlena tells him that she is afraid Abby might have a psychotic break – she suggests outpatient therapy first, but is afraid they may have to institutionalize her.  Abby overhears this; she sends Chad to get her prescription and makes a mysterious phone call.  Kate is Philip’s mother??  I didn’t know that.  After Teresa leaves, Maggie admits to Nicole that she is scared; she asks Nicole to check in on Victor for her.  Victor has a black-n-white flashback of the woman he accidentally killed (by pushing her and her head hitting a rock); Deimos finishes the flashback… showing how Victor framed him for the murder.  Abby meets with JJ; she tells him what really happened – he says he knew Chad wasn’t telling the whole story that night.  She admits that she barely knows what’s real and what’s not anymore.  Then she sends JJ to get her some water and sneaks away while he’s gone.  

Kate tells Philip to disown her if he wants to; all her children have – but they all come back, because they need her, and he will too.  Philip tells her that deep down she knows he is right about Deimos.  Justin comes to Victor’s door to tell Deimos he needs to return everything he took from Victor or he will be right back in jail where he belongs.  Deimos sends him away (he calls him “Uncle Deimos” when he says goodbye).  As Chad talks to Jennifer about possibly committing Abby, Abby leaves the mansion with the baby.  Philip tells Kate he doesn’t want her to get hurt; she says she thinks he just wants to get back at Deimos.  Then Deimos walks up to the table and says he has an announcement to make.  Brady and Justin talk again; Brady thinks Victor is hiding something (otherwise he would be screaming about Deimos taking everything).  They decide Deimos needs his ‘ass kicked’ and they shake hands on it.  

Nicole goes to see Victor for Maggie; Teresa lets it slip that she has a secret and now Maggie wants to know what it is she is not supposed to know.  Ciara get to the mansion to babysit; she calls Chad to tell him that Abby and Thomas are gone.  Deimos offers Kate a job.  Abby is now in a motel room, telling Thomas nobody is going to lock her up… nobody.

Sorry – missed today… here’s the highlights:  Claire works on a new song… Philip and Belle make love again; Belle senses something is going on with Philip.  Lani and Shaun work on a case together, and seem to be distracted; she tells him she’ll lock the door if he closes the blinds.  Rafe recalls telling Hope he loves her – almost sends her a text, but decides not to.  Hope is home, sick; she also recalls his profession of love.  She gets a phone call, thinking it’s Rafe she answers anxiously; turns out to be Andre on the other end of the line.

Friday 04-15-2016

As this episode begins, Summer sleeps on Teresa and Brady’s couch… Teresa accidentally (on purpose) wakes her up.  Brady goes to the hospital to visit Maggie; the nurse tells him she didn’t have a good night, she was restless.  He sits down a sack and a cup for her; she wakes up.  Philip is sitting with Victor – Victor wakes up and asks what the hell he is doing there.  Roman is at court, waiting for Eric; Eric is not answering the phone.  He is in a motel room with Jennifer and an empty bottle of tequila… he wakes up and realizes he is late for his sentencing.  Philip tries to apologize.  Victor tells Philip he blames him for Maggie being in the hospital.  If he wants Victor to forgive him, he needs to destroy Deimos.  While Brady talks to Maggie, he asks if she knows what upset Summer; Teresa berates Summer and tells her not to come there the next time she needs somewhere to turn. 

Jennifer wakes up with a headache, finding Eric gone; she has vague, blurry flashbacks of them beginning to make love as she stares at the empty bottle.  She looks at her phone to see a bunch of missed calls from JJ.  She finds Eric’s phone on the floor – Roman is calling.  Eric stumbles into the courthouse, looking like crap, wreaking of booze and breath mints, wearing the same clothes he had on last night.  Everyone knows he went on another bender.  Summer tells Teresa that she is scared she is going to have to go back to a life she hated, all because of Maggie… she is hoping Brady can help her figure out what to do next.  She recalls Maggie’s story about giving her away; she figures she didn’t want her then, she likely doesn’t want her now.  Belle is concerned that Eric is going to bring his defiant attitude into the courtroom; Marlena says that he probably wants everyone to hate him as much as he hates himself.  Jennifer runs into the courthouse and hands Roman Eric’s phone; when Marlena finds out that she was with Eric last night, she reprimands her for letting him get drunk the night before his hearing.  Jennifer does appear to be embarrassed. 

Brady tells Summer she is mistaken; just because Maggie gave her up as a baby, it doesn’t mean she doesn’t want to know her now.  Teresa is not being nice to her; can’t believe Brady didn’t say something.  Marlena tells Jennifer she knows about her pill habit, but questions how she could have possibly done this.  She tells her she is a terrible friend.  Belle tells Eric they have to get in the courtroom; they are already late.  Eric doesn’t want any of them to go with him and says his goodbyes there.  He lovingly kisses Jennifer and tearfully hugs his mom.  Victor unhooks his IV and sneaks into Maggie’s room; she tells him to get back to bed… he says he wants to know how she’s feeling.  The doctor comes in and tells him to go back to his room – but he stands in the doorway.  Fynn scratches the bottom of her foot; nothing. 

Teresa continues to bitch about Summer after she leaves; Brady finally gets fed up with it.  He tells her he is not giving up on Summer and asks her when she going to stop feeling so damn insecure.  Eric is sentenced to five years in prison and taken from the courtroom to a bus with some really shady looking characters, where they are all chained together and chained to the floor.  He looks terrified.

Thursday 04-14-2016

Yuck… Teresa and Brady are all coochie-coo; he’s hugging up on her from behind and talking about all they have done together, then asks her out on a date.  He tells her to put on something sexy and they kiss.  Almost more than I can take.  Summer sits at the bar, having a drink – she’s not sure how to process what Maggie told her.  She tells the bartender to keep them coming.  Rafe and Hope kiss.  They both seem surprised by it and a little unsure what to do next; she asks him to stay and have a drink with her.  Hope is acting nervous, but tries to make like it’s no big deal… so they kissed; she tells Rafe it can’t happen again.  They both have too much on their plates.  She says she doesn’t want to mess their friendship up by trying to make it more; she asks, “I’m right, right?” …he tells her she’s wrong.  Rafe says he knows what all she’s been through, but believes they would be stronger together.  He tells her he loves her so much, he just can’t hold it back anymore. 

As Abby sleeps, the baby begins to cry.  Ciara picks him up and Abby wakes up, freaking out, thinking it was Ben – she apologizes.  She asks where Chad went, but Ciara doesn’t know; he just told her he was going to take care of something.  Ciara calms the baby, singing a son her dad used to sing to her… Abby says he nanny used to sing it to her.  Ok, the dress Teresa changed into is not real sexy; they come into the bar and sit at a table.  Summer stumbles by and compliments them both on her way to the bathroom.  Brady gets concerned about her and asks her to have a seat with them and eat something.  Teresa is not happy about that. 

Rafe gets a text from Chad and has to go… “to be continued.”  Chad meets with Rafe and tells him Ben better not get out again, or he may have to take matters into his own hands.  Ciara mentions Ben getting in the house and Abby immediately has flashbacks – now, realizing it wasn’t all a dream she becomes nauseous and runs out of the room.  Summer refuses Brady’s offer and tells him to go back to Teresa; he reminds her that he cares about her and tells her to get home safe.  Hope talks to her grandmother’s picture about Rafe.  Chad comes home and Ciara talks to him about what Abby is going through (the anxiety after a trauma); he thanks her.  Summer continues drinking back at her hotel room; then leaves in a hurry.  Abby takes the baby and sends Ciara home; Thomas immediately starts crying.  Chad isn’t sure what to do.  Rafe calls Hope; Hope tells him they can talk, tomorrow.  When Brady and Teresa get home, Summer is sitting by their door.  Chad takes the baby, against Abby’s wishes – he stops crying right away.  Abby begins crying.

Wednesday 04-13-2016

Hope comes to see Caroline at the café; tells her that Victor and Maggie are doing better.  Caroline tells her that she believes Deimos was behind Bo’s torture – and she knows he is behind what happened to Maggie and Victor; Hope tells her that she killed Stefano.  Caroline says “good for you, you did the world a favor.”  She only regrets that she didn’t shoot the son-of-a-bitch herself.  Nicole comes by to see Deimos at Victor’s former mansion; he offers her a drink and toasts to what they want and deserve.  She’s not sure what that means.  Gabi and Rafe’s mother meets with Eduardo at the café; she asks him how things went so wrong for them, insisting there were other choices.  He says he didn’t choose it – he was a boy, indoctrinated into it… Adrianna doesn’t buy it.  Mario shows up and tells Eduardo to leave his mother alone – then asks her whether she is considering letting him back into their lives.  She says maybe they have all lived with this pain for too long; none of us is free of sin.  Mario is disappointed when she agrees to meet Eduardo for breakfast. 

Deimos tells Nicole about the woman she looks so much like; he insists that his feud with his brother is over, and he won – he prays for Maggie’s speedy recovery.  Nicole says he doesn’t seem like the praying type; he asks her to stay for dinner (I can’t tell if she is frightened or intrigued).  John, Rafe and Hope are now talking to Caroline; she tells them they have to get rid of Deimos.  He is a danger to them all.  Hope tells Rafe she trusts Caroline’s instincts… then apologizes for leaning on him.  He tells her to lean away, he’s not going anywhere.  Ciara is on her way to babysit for Chad and Abby – Rafe and Hope discuss how grateful they are she wasn’t there earlier when Ben showed up.  As she goes to leave Nicole asks if she is like this woman in any other way; Deimos says only time will tell.  Kate is standing at the door as Nicole turns to exit.  Nicole tells Rafe she is torn; if she did kill the wrong man, she doesn’t really want to know… but if Deimos is behind it, then what? 

Nicole questions if Kate is living with Deimos.  Kate asks what she is doing there… Nicole says that she came to tell Deimos if he goes near Victor or Maggie again, she will bury him.  After she leaves, Kate asks Deimos what is really going on between him and Nicole.

Tuesday 04-12-2016

Roman is talking to Eric about his prison sentence; he has set things up with the warden to make things as easy as possible for him.  Eric doesn’t want any favors, but Roman explains that because he is his son, he may have a target on his back – he is going to do whatever he can to protect him. 

Lucas and Jennifer talk; he knows she is abusing her pills and calls her out on it.  She tells him she needs to rest, insisting that she just takes on when she needs to take the edge off.  JJ comes home; he tells Jennifer and Lucas that Ben was at the mansion, and that Abby injured him.  It’s the same evening, and Abby appears to be doing better as she plays with Thomas.  But when Chad mentions going to stay at a motel tonight so she doesn’t have to deal with what’s upstairs, she asks “what’s upstairs”?  Seems she has completely blocked out the whole evening; Chad is confused.  He tells her the cops took Ben and he will never hurt her again – she asks where the cops found Ben and is surprised when Chad says “here”. 

Roman asks Eric to go see his mom before he serves his sentence; Eric says he doesn’t want Marlena to see him like this.  Roman hugs him and tells him he loves him; he has to go back to work.  JJ does his best to explain things to his mother; he lets her know that Abby is ok, although some details of what happened are fuzzy.  Jennifer goes to see her daughter.  Chad asks Abby what she remembers from tonight; she recalls a bad dream.  She says there are images, but they are kind of jumbled – now she wants to know what happened; she asks Chad “did I see Ben?”  Chad suggests leaving again; she says no.  She wants to stay on the couch, all night, with Chad and Thomas.  He says ok. 

John sits with Marlena; Eric comes by and John excuses himself.  He hugs Eric goodbye.  Eric tells his mom he’s not sure if there will be time for goodbye after his sentencing in the morning – she tells him whatever happens, she will come to see him.  He apologizes to her for letting her down, but says he doesn’t want her coming there.  She asks him to stay, but he says he has some more goodbyes to take care of.  Abby dreams of the events from that evening, while Chad wanders through the house.  Jennifer comes to the door asking what happened; Chad explains the revision of events as he described it to the police.  Jennifer goes to look in on Abby; JJ tells Chad he knows that something about the story isn’t right – he needs to know what really happened to file the report. Chad tells him to put down what he told them, then drop Ben down a deep, dark hole and lose him. 

JJ takes his mother home and heads to the hospital – Jennifer takes another pill.  JJ is in Ben’s room now, talking to him while he is unconscious; calls him a son-of-a-bitch.  Eric goes to see Jennifer, who pours herself a drink and tells him to help himself; despite the fact that he just told his mother he hadn’t had a drink in three days, he pours one… and then another and another.  They kiss; then leave to go “somewhere” – hmmm.

Abby watches the match burn, as she tells Ben how he changed her; one match, then another, then a third – Ben looks a little bit scared.  He tells her she can’t do this, to which she replies, I have to… it’s my duty.  Joey meets with Steve at the café; he asks what’s going on with his mother.  In the hospital, Kayla is told she has a subdural hematoma; it could burst at any time.  She wants to monitor it and talk about surgery down the road.  She asks to keep this between them; the young doctor (whose name is apparently Fynn) tells her it’s too late for that.  He already left Steve a voicemail.  Abby throws the match on the bed and Ben is ablaze; Chad races into the room and puts the flames out – Abby is pissed.  She says Ben needs to die.  Ben’s legs are badly burned.  Joey’s girlfriend shows up and butters Steve up a bit; they leave, and he gets a phone call.  Downstairs now, Abby sings to her baby (acting a little crazy); she doesn’t want Chad to touch her – she asks why he let Ben live.  She tells Chad that Ben is going to kill her… and when he does, it will be Chad’s fault.

Meanwhile, Ben is upstairs getting loose.  When Chad tells Abby he has called the police to come get Ben, she tries to hand him the baby, telling him she needs to go kill Ben now.  Chad talks her out of it; Ben heads down the stairs.  When Steve shows up, Kayla refuses to tell him what is going on; she just says that it is stress-related and tells him she needs time to deal with things.  She finally tells him, it was from Ava knocking her out. Steve apologizes to Kayla, saying it’s all his fault.  Jade tries to talk Joey into going on a road trip with her; I think he’s considering it.  Kayla tells Steve that love doesn’t conquer all and asks him to leave.  Abby breaks down and tells Chad how she lured Ben up to the bedroom to get him away from Thomas; Chad tells her that’s ok, she did the right thing.  Then she tells him how she stabbed him, and tied him up and lit him on fire, insisting she wanted to kill him.  Chad tells her it was self-defense and that’s what they are going to tell the police. 

Chad catches Ben coming down the stairs and punches him, knocking him out.  Police arrive at the mansion; EMTs put Ben on a stretcher and carry him out.  Kayla insists on being released… she goes home to find Steve’s note with her ring; Steve sits down on a bench in the park.  Chad changes some of the details of Abby’s story about how Ben got burned and threatens bad publicity if they harass Abby over this after all she’s been through; she is obviously in a state of shock (will certainly have PTSD after this).  She is still angry with Chad; says because of him, she is never going to be free now and asks how he could do this to her.  She cries.

Friday 04-09-2016

Maggie asks Summer to stay with her until she goes into surgery; she asks about her life in Los Angeles – Summer tells her that’s not a pleasant subject.  Maggie reminds her that she is her mother and says she wants to get to know her.  Deimos runs into Nicole at the hospital; Nicole asks why Victor never mentioned him before.  Deimos tells her that’s because he hates him.  Then he tells her he owns Victor’s house now; given to him to repay an old debt.  Abby, still kissing Ben, gets another call from Chad; she hangs up the phone.  Ben questions what the hell is going on.  She tells him all the feelings she had for him came rushing back when she saw him… he tells her she can’t play him.  She insists, she was wrong for choosing Chad; she tells him Chad is mean to her (he looks concerned).  Chad is worried, now he can’t get a hold of Abigail.  Ben is still not convinced of anything Abby is saying.  She says Chad is holding her prisoner; that he is manipulating her, and drugging her… she can’t get free.  She says he’s keeping her from her family and she made a huge mistake; she tells Ben, he is her only hope.  She’s a pretty good actress, I guess. 

Deimos asks Nicole to go somewhere for a cup of coffee so he can explain everything to her; she says no – she’s there to see Maggie.  She walks away.  Abby has lured Ben upstairs, to get him away from the baby; she’s pretending she wants to make love… asks him to just trust her.  He grabs her face, and tells her he loves her.  She hugs him and thanks him; the look of terror on her face behind him is awful.  She gently pushes him down on the bed, climbs on top of him, kissing him, and reaches in the nightstand drawer and grabs a pair of scissors – she stabs him in the chest!  Go Abby!  Ben is furious as he pulls the scissors out of his chest; Abby stands up and grabs a lamp and cracks it over his head.  Wow… ok, now I’m confused.  Chad calls, panicked because he hasn’t been able to get a hold of her, and Abby is calm, cool and collected.  For some reason she does not tell Chad that Ben is there.  Why?  She’s tying him up now, with the lamp cord, and talking to Chad as if nothing has happened; when Chad says he’ll be home in five or ten minutes, she asks him to go do all kinds of shopping to delay his arrival.  What could she possibly be planning?? 

Nicole researches Deimos.  Summer mentions a lot of odd jobs she held; then admits that she would con people to get money… it’s what she was good at.  Now she feels that Maggie is ashamed of her; Maggie hasn’t said anything yet.  Now, with Ben tied, arms and legs, to the headboard and footboard of her bed, she throws lighter fluid on his face and he wakes up.  She continues to pour the fluid over his body, shirt, pants, everything; she asks him if he knows what’s coming next.  He laughs at her and tells her he’s not real… to which she responds, it sure feels like you’re real, and screams in his face – he trembles with fear.  Maggie tells Summer she is not judging her; she admits that she had lied (no one told her the baby died… she made the choice to give her away).  She apologizes.  Ben asks Abby if she is going to kill him now; she says yes.    He tells her they are linked and death won’t change that.  She says, “I guess we’ll have to see about that, won’t we?”  Chad comes home to find the guard knocked out at the front door; Abby lights the match.

Thursday 04-07-2016

Kayla sits at home, alone; Roman comes by.  Kayla tells Roman she just realized, after everything was over, that Joey would have never been in that mess if she hadn’t taken Steve back.  Steve sits at the bar; a woman sits down by him.  Her name is Tina Bradley – said he saved her life once.  She tells him her life needs saving again.  Abby wakes up, kissing Ben.  He’s telling her she’s just imagining him, dares her to call for Chad… tells her she might be crazy; then she really wakes up.

JJ is on the phone with a possible lead; police in Calexico made an arrest last night – he tells Chad, they think it might be Ben.  Abby gets a call from Ciara; she’s offering to baby-sit.  Abby tells her to come by.  Chad tells Abby Ben might be back behind bars.  Ciara shows up with Theo.  Steve has a conversation with himself about whether he should help this woman; Kayla tells Roman (her brother) she has to go to the hospital, she gets up and almost falls.  Abby sees Ben again – closes her eyes and tells him to get out of her head.  When she opens her eyes, he’s gone… Chad is trying to call.  The guy arrested in California is not Ben.  The guard patrolling the grounds bends down to tie his shoe; Ben jumps him from behind, chokes him and gets keys out of his pocket.  Abby is not crazy! 

Steve turns the lady down; tells her to call the police.  His other self disappears, until he walks outside.  Ciara looks at her upcoming school schedule – she questions whether she is going to have time to take the babysitting job; she kisses Theo again, sweetly this time, and tells him goodbye.  Abby gets Chad’s message; she turns around and sees Ben… once again, says she knows he is not there, closes her eyes and says “you are not real.”  He lets her know the ‘rent-a-cop’ guards outside are losers.  Steve comes home, with flowers in his arms; he finds Kayla gone and writes her a note – he is not giving up.  He leaves her ring.  Kayla, at work now, faints and falls down.  Abby tries to walk away from Ben and he grabs her; he says he still wants to be with her.  She seizes the opportunity to fool him (I’m assuming), telling him it’s always been him she loved; she kisses him.

Wednesday 04-06-2016

Victor is still unconscious; Maggie is preparing to go into surgery.  Nicole visits Maggie; Maggie thanks her for saving Victor’s life – she’s not concerned about her upcoming surgery.  She wants to get in to see Victor, or at least get him a message.  Nicole has an idea… she lets Maggie record a video for Victor and promises to get it to him.  Joey tells his girlfriend he is going to the courthouse (if they find his father guilty, he’s telling the truth). 

Pamela Vandamm tells everyone that there is not going to be a trial – she says “Mr. Johnson was undercover for the ISA” – he was supposedly following orders when he killed Ava.  He is to be released from the charges regarding her death.  This is probably a way to blackmail him into working for them again.  Justin questions the ordering of an assassination; says he’s going to check all this out.  When he leaves, Steve asks what the hell just happened.  Philip shows up at Brady’s to find out how his father is doing; Brady tells him he will keep him posted – but he has to make things right with him.  Nicole gives Maggie a picture of Daniel and tells her, after her surgery, she can walk to her place to give it back to her.  She says, “deal.” 

Summer comes to visit Maggie; she lets her know she will be there waiting for her.  Deimos searches Nicole Walker, online.  Nicole goes to visit Victor; she plays Maggie’s message.   Victor wakes up.  Joey’s new girlfriend is a little weird; seems turned on by the fact that he killed Ava.  The judge confirmed, the case against Steve is closed.  Kayla isn’t sure how she feels about that… now she thinks she needs to protect Joey from Steve; she needs to figure things out, again.  She gives his engagement ring back, with an “I love you, but…” and leaves.

Tuesday 04-05-2016

Hope is on her way to work; Ciara is on her way to see Marlena.  Chase lets himself into Jennifer’s house – he stares at the couch as he experiences a flashback of the rape.  Then he wanders around the house; Rafe happens by and catches him.  Steve is calm, and Kayla is a nervous wreck… it’s his court hearing today.  He’s getting ready to meet with Belle; Kaya tells him, maybe they should go on the run (she is ready to pick up and go).  He promises her he will make it all right.  Ciara asks her mom, again, how Chase is free – she puts an emergency number in her speed-dial and tells her to use it if she sees Chase again.  Hope gets a call – Ciara missed her appointment.  Joey’s new girlfriend comes to see him at the café; he blames himself for everything. 

Theo meets with Ciara; he questions how she’s going to handle her frustration – she goes on a slight tirade… then gets a text from her mom.  Theo asks her why she blew off her appointment (she said she just didn’t feel like talking, which is why she likes being with him; he doesn’t force her to talk about stuff).  Rafe tells Chase he’s under arrest for stealing that lady’s purse and more (robbery, assault, breaking and entering).  Roman tells John about Victor’s heart attack…and about Maggie’s fall down the stairs.  Roman is looking for his mom, Caroline.  Steve tells Kayla that he thinks she and Joe would be better off without him; he says he’s not afraid of going to prison.  Theo and Ciara get to Jennifer’s house to find the front door open.  Theo goes to investigate… she sees Chases shirt - now she has flashbacks of the rape.  She gets a text from Rafe letting her know he has Chase; Theo isn’t sure how to console her.  She burns Chase's shirt and then goes to the police station and tells Chase he did not break her – and he will never break her. 

Steve tells Kayla he’s thinking about pleading guilty; she insists he doesn’t - Belle arrives to take him to court.  Ciara is back at the park, talking to Theo now; he lets her know he will always be there for her.  John asks to have a private meeting with Justin (the DA), Steve and Roman; there is urgent news regarding Steve’s case.  “Pamela Vandamm” (head of the ISA) arrives.  Hope and Rafe share an intimate moment at the pub; he is about to tell her he loves her when a phone call interrupts him.

Monday 04-04-2016

Maggie realizes she is not able to move her legs.  Brady wonders where Victor went; he had said he was just going to get a drink.  Deimos pours himself another glass of champagne, as he watches Victor sprawled helplessly on the couch; then he goes upstairs to join Kate in bed.  As Caroline closes up her restaurant, she has a memory of Victor giving her a gift – and then, has a vision of him lying on the couch in obvious distress.  Nicole happens to come by the mansion to get her tablet she left earlier; she sees Victor and calls for help.  As she tries to make him more comfortable, Kate and Deimos are busy making love.  Summer hasn’t been given any information about why Maggie is there; Maggie struggles to recall the event.  She begins to cry hysterically as she remembers the fall.

The paramedics arrive and begin to work on Victor; Caroline tries to call, but no one hears Victor’s phone ringing.  She goes to find him.  Kate comes downstairs to find Nicole and asks what the ambulance is for; Nicole asks who the hell Deimos is (I guess they haven’t been introduced yet).  Deimos seems to be entranced by Nicole; he asks who she is.  Kate demands again to know what the ambulance was doing here – Nicole explains.  Deimos introduces himself, and asks Nicole her name… he wants to know about her background.  She is appalled by his non-reaction to the news of his brother’s heart attack; why does he want to know if her family is from Greece?  Kate is shocked by the news.  Deimos is creeping Nicole out; she leaves.  Kate doesn’t look happy now. 

Back at the hospital, Teresa asks Maggie for some advice – in a hypothetical manner, she tells Maggie how much she means to her and how worried they are about her – she tells Maggie that she is her role model, and that she loves her.  Maggie is touched.  Kate questions whether Deimos was with Victor when he had his heart attack… and asks if he would care if Victor died.  She tells him he is one cold son-of-a-bitch; then asks what the non-sense with Nicole was.  He said she reminded him of someone.  When he tries to get her to come back to bed, she tells him “no means no.”  (But she still looks interested to me.)  They bring Victor in to the hospital, generally unresponsive; Brady is extremely worried.  He fills Nicole in on what happened to Maggie; he tells her how grateful he is that she went back for her tablet.  She tells him that Deimos was at the mansion (and didn’t care less about Victor having a heart attack); described his eyes as “cold… pure evil.” 

Deimos asks Kate if he’ll see her for breakfast – she tells him she has some things to think about.  As she is about to leave, Caroline walks in the door… she can sense that Deimos is there, and that he is responsible for all of this.  She looks up the stairs and tells Deimos she won’t let him hurt Victor anymore; he smirks to himself and drinks his champagne.  Caroline arrives at the hospital to see Victor; he’s sleeping.  She sits by his side and tells him he better not die on her… calls him a son-of-a-bitch; Deimos looks at an old picture in his wallet; that must be Helena.  Brady tells Maggie that Victor is there in the hospital because of a heart attack, which makes her cry again.

Friday 04-01-2016

Summer feels like she messed things up with Maggie; Brady is feeling some anxiety, but he doesn’t know why.  Deimos invites Kate over to Victor’s house, which he says is now his; Victor sits by Maggie’s side, as he remembers Deimos blackmailing him.  The doctor tells Victor that all traces of the poison and the antidote are gone; it’s time to prepare for surgery to try to repair Maggie’s back.  Kate tells Deimos she wants to know what he did to get Victor to sign everything over to him, or she’s walking out the door.  Steve and Kayla talk on what might be his last night as a free man; he’s making chili and cornbread, and drinking beer.  Deimos tells Kate that he poisoned Maggie; simply a means to an end.  Teresa brings Brady into the hospital; he is fine – but the doctor tells him that Maggie is there.  Brady tells Teresa to call Summer. 

Kate appears to be rather turned on by Deimos’ blackmailing scheme (she somehow sees it as vengeance for what Victor did to her all those years ago).  Summer arrives at the hospital – Victor is not happy to see her.  Steve and Kayla share a romantic dance; Kate and Deimos prepare to make love.  Victor walks in the door; he tells Deimos that Maggie may never walk again and he is going to make Deimos pay.  With Victor absent, Summer talks to Maggie; she begs her to be ok.  Maggie opens her eyes and asks what’s going on.  Kayla tells Steve she will always love him; he tells her that everything will be ok, regardless of what happens in court tomorrow.  Victor pulls out a knife, threatening to kill Deimos, then grabs his heart and stumbles to the couch.

Thursday 03-31-2016

Gabi goes to visit Eduardo and is told that he checked out of the hospital against medical advice; he is in his motel room, packing.  Rafe is hard at work; he looks at the ‘wanted’ flyer for Ben.  Abby wakes up, still in Chad’s arms on the couch – she gently moves his arm and gets up, hears a knock at the door and opens it- it’s Ben.  Then she really wakes up to find Chad gone.  Now, a knock at the door… Chad answers it; the security guard is holding onto Chase – he was on the grounds, looking for Andre.  Ciara comes into the police station and asks her mother how he is free (she is not happy after bumping into him in the square).  Chad has Chase escorted off the grounds. 

Rafe’s mother requests a dinner with all three of her children; Gabi goes to Eduardo’s hotel room, where she talks him out of leaving town.  Hope and Ciara decide to stay in a motel for the night so Ciara knows Chase can’t find her.  Chad and Abby drink champagne in the garden and end up making love; she goes back in the house to get a blanket and sees Ben standing there.  She closes her eyes and says “you are not real”, when she opens them, he is gone; but when she turns around, he is standing in the doorway – he tells her he is real, but no one else is going to believe it.  She calls out to Chad.  Chase, desperate for money, steals a lady’s purse.

Wednesday 03-30-2016

Maggie insists she is fine; she just leaned over too far.  She doesn’t want to ruin Brady’s party.  She finds Teresa’s ring on the floor; secret’s out.  Abby is certain she saw Ben – then she realizes she didn’t.  Now she’s really scared; “it felt so real” she said, “what’s happening?”   Teresa asks Victor if he isn’t going to welcome her to the family… she should know the answer to that.  Brady formally makes the announcement and Teresa makes a somewhat sarcastic, then somewhat touching speech and Maggie hugs her. 

Abby tells Chad that she really thinks she’s losing her mind – JJ calls for a doctor.  Physically, Abby is fine.  The doctor says she had a panic attack; he’s giving her a low-dosage sedative to help through the night; he says it’s safe for the baby (supposedly Abby is nursing).  She and Chad lay down on the couch.  She wakes up and sneaks out, why, I don’t know – she runs into Bed in the garden, actually bumping into him… but he just stands there.  She tells him she knows he’s not really there and runs back into the house; snuggling up with Chad on the couch again, she sees Ben standing outside the glass door again. 

After the party, everyone goes home; Teresa and Brady cuddle up on the floor in front of a fire and have a loving, intimate conversation (which I still have trouble buying), Philip tells Belle he loves her and Victor tells Maggie to go lay down while he makes her a cup of tea.  When Maggie gets to the top step, she gets dizzy again; she tumbles down the stairs, falling all the way to the floor, she’s not moving.  Victor goes to her; she tells him she is having trouble breathing and she can’t feel her legs… he is going to call for help.  Deimos shows up, as if on cue – not concerned about Maggie at all; tells Victor this is his doing.  Says the pills Maggie has been taking are poison; he switched her medication – she is slowly dying… but he has the antidote.  He demands that Victor sign over everything he owns; he signs a paper Deimos hands him and Deimos injects Maggie with something.

Belle and Philip have an honest conversation; she tells him she is not going to tell him she loves him and she doesn’t think he really loves her – he tells her he will take her anyway he can have her.  Victor has Maggie taken to the hospital where the doctor tells him the poison has been neutralized; the bad news, however, is that Maggie has broken her back.  She is paralyzed.

Tuesday 03-29-2016

So, Ben really does appear to have Thomas in his arms… he’s sleeping.  Abby screams for Chad, but he’s looking through other parts of the mansion and can’t hear her.  She begs Ben to give Thomas to her.  Kate breaks the news to John about Brady and Teresa; he decides he can learn to accept Teresa if Brady really loves her.  Maggie tells Nicole that she should come to the party for the announcement.  Teresa is freaking out now because she lost her engagement ring.  Still holding the baby in his arms, Ben tells Abby he misses his family – why doesn’t she tell him Thomas isn’t his?  Nicole and Dario come to visit Maggie; Victor is less than happy about it.  Maggie admits to Victor that she had a dizzy spell.  Ok, so as Ben carries on about what his son’s name is, Abby breaks and tells him it is not his son.  Now what will his reaction be?  Maggie begs Victor to give Summer a chance to prove she’s not after anything.  As Ben starts to walk away with Thomas, Abby begins to scream; Chad enters the room, along with JJ, and they ask her what she is screaming about.  She insists Ben is standing there, but they don’t see him?  Thomas is in his stroller.  Abby must be losing her mind.  During the engagement party, Maggie faints and falls to the ground.
