At the police station, Victor tells Roman that he thinks Deimos set him up; Victor is booked and his bail hearing is set for the morning. Brady tells Sonny about the
burner-phone with Victor’s number on it; he says facts are facts and all the
facts point to Victor; Sonny says all he has are opinions. Sonny says he should be out there looking
for who set Victor up instead of measuring the rope to hang him with. Sonny tells Victor that he is with him, no matter what anybody else thinks. Justin, who is representing Victor, tries to convince Brady of his innocence; he says Deimos should be the main suspect. Brady says he checked out Deimos; there is no evidence linking him to the kidnapping. Justin tells Sonny that he agrees Victor is innocent, but proving it is going to be something else.
Nicole tells Deimos she doesn’t believe he
has anything to do with Tate’s kidnapping and she is having a hard time believing
that Victor did – Deimos tells her that’s why he is having his own ‘people’
look into it; he thinks there is a chance that Victor is being set up. He insists he just wants to be Victor’s
brother. Nicole kisses him. I think they make love (it doesn’t show) and
then they head to the square; Deimos asks her to move in with him, but Nicole
says she needs some time.
Philip talks to his mother (Kate) as they
have dinner; he tells her he is sorry that she went through hell (even though it
was her own fault), that she has been fired and kicked out of her home. She says he’s enjoying every minute and
tells him she won’t forget it; he smirks, to see the real her coming through,
and questions if she is going for revenge.
Kate gets offended and turns the conversation to him and Chloe; he tells
her their relationship is ‘strictly business’ – obviously, not thinking about
his offer to Chloe to pretend to be her baby’s father. Chloe shows up as Kate is demeaning her and
exchanges words with Kate; Kate leaves in a huff. She sees Nicole and Deimos in the square and watches them from a
distance as they kiss.
Teresa goes to
visit Maggie with Tate; Maggie is very happy to see him. Teresa tells her that she wants to be there
for her, even though she believes Victor is the one who set up Tate’s
kidnapping. Maggie understands. Chloe and Philip talk about the situation;
Philip tells her he not only wants to keep her on his record label and make it
possible for her to keep the baby, he also cares about her. Kate approaches Nicole and Deimos, mocking
them; they put her in her place, telling her she’s making a fool of herself
(and lacks self-awareness). Maggie
reflects on conversations with Victor and says that she knows, in her heart,
that he couldn’t have done it. As
Teresa and Brady discuss the charges against Victor, Teresa asks if there’s any
part of him that thinks maybe Victor is innocent. He says he doesn’t want to believe it, but it appears that he did
it; all he knows is that he loves her and Tate, and he is going to hold on to
that. They start to kiss – and it still
looks so fake to me. Kate strolls
across the square, angrily tearing a rose apart and throwing the petals to the
ground.

Jennifer wakes up, on a
hotel bed, to find Kayla and Belle watching over her… she tries to tell them,
as she looks over at the empty bottle of vodka on the nightstand, it isn’t what
it looks like (but she has no explanation).
She gets up and starts to clean up her mess; Belle admits that she found
her, having come there to take photos of the pills and alcohol, but called
Kayla instead because, being a mother too, she can’t even begin to understand
what she must be going through. They
take her home where Julie and Doug are waiting… Jennifer tells Belle she wants her
to stay, so she doesn’t run and tell Chad.
Kayla tells Belle, if she could stay, she thinks it would help. Belle gives Jennifer her phone; tells her to
look through it and see there are no incriminating photo or anything.
Theo gets uncomfortable after Claire kisses him, and tries to leave, but Claire talks him into staying for a movie, popcorn and soda. But he ends up just talking about Ciara the whole time; Claire clearly gets upset about his obsession with Ciara. She asks him if he is sorry they kissed; he explains, he just hasn’t kissed many girls (only Ciara, actually). Again, Claire is annoyed with the mention of Ciara’s name. A few hours have passed since Ciara blurted out that she loved Chad; she is having some difficulty with Thomas. Chad questions if her frustration has anything to do with what she said to him earlier; she denies that having anything to do with it. Chad tells her that he thinks she is great, but he doesn’t reciprocate her feelings – he does not love her. He apologizes, saying what she is feeling is his fault… she asks him to explain. He says it’s life experience; she says she’s been through a lot too, and he’s not that much older. She says they can keep it between them, until he’s ready; he says that is crazy. He explains that he cannot even accept that Abby is gone and he is not ready to move on (and if he were, it wouldn’t be with her). He tells her she is an amazing woman, and in many ways she saved his life; she deserves someone who will love her with all her heart. He offers to pay her through the end of the year, but he fires her. She leaves, upset.

He kisses her again (pretty passionately). Ciara gets frustrated that her text receives no reply; she sits down with a soda to watch a movie, but apparently changes her mind. She walks into Claire’s apartment (because the door is wide open) to find her on Theo’s lap.

After Abe tells Rafe that
Aiden is the new DA, he gets pissed; even if Justin quit, why appoint a
criminal? They say he wasn’t
convicted. Rafe claims there must be
more to the story – he was going to kill Hope, he’s a gambler – why would the
mayor appoint him? Roman tells Rafe
they can’t fight it, it is the way it has to be. Justin confronts Aiden, who tells him he was just playing along;
he loves Salem because family takes care of each other and here they have all
the right connections. Justin realizes
Aiden set this all up; he wishes him good luck and leaves. Rafe confronts Aiden next, and tells him that he doesn’t know how he did it, but he is sure he’s not going to get away with it.
Teresa, John and Brady race to a hotel room where they have followed leads to the woman who took Tate – they knock on the door pretending to be housekeeping. No response. The hotel manager gives Brady an extra key card; he has kids and sympathizes. They rush in; there is a an empty crib… Teresa starts crying; they are too late. Then they hear a muffled baby cry; behind a fake wall, they find another crib, with baby Tate in it! Teresa grabs him, so happy to see him; thank God, he is okay. Brady finds a burner-phone on the floor, only one number on it; he calls; Victor answers. Brady hangs up. Victor sits with Maggie as they wait for the doctor to come in to check on her; he gets a phone call, but no one responds.
The doctor comes in and tests Maggie’s reflexes; she feels her foot, her ankle and her leg below the knee – Caroline and Sonny walk in just as Maggie says she is so grateful to Deimos. Caroline can’t believe it. Victor gives Maggie a pair of red shoes; says he’s had them ever since he told her he was going to take her dancing again. Deimos and Nicole come in to hear the good news; Victor invites them out to dinner. Brady and John come into the hospital room, announcing that they are there to arrest Victor for conspiracy to kidnapping; Victor denies any involvement, but an officer says they have to take him in. Sonny thinks that Deimos has somehow set this all up to screw over Victor. Sonny goes to Justin (his dad), telling him he’s sure Deimos is behind this; Deimos makes a call, saying he wants to know everything about Victor’s arrest but needs them to be discrete. Nicole looks a little concerned.
Justin explains to Sonny why he had to resign; he had stolen evidence to try to help Victor. Abe allowed him to resign quietly for personal reasons; Sonny tells him he is sure this is all a set up, because his ‘Uncle Vic’ wouldn’t kidnap Tate. Justin assures him that he will represent Victor and look into it. As Maggie stresses over Victor’s arrest, Caroline tries to comfort her – but when Maggie says there is no way Victor could have done this, Caroline tells her she’s afraid he did. She tells Maggie about her vision in the hotel room that day, when she touched the phone, and that Victor told her she should just keep it to herself. Victor swears to Roman that they have the wrong man. Belle goes to see Chad; he
is in bad shape… he asks her how he is supposed to live without hope,
questioning his ability to be a father to Thomas. He condemns himself because Abby trusted him to take care of her,
and he failed; left her in that institution where she felt alone and
scared. Belle tells him he did
everything he was supposed to do. She
says she knows he’s in terrible pain, but if he allows it to defeat him, Thomas
will suffer and he will never forgive himself; she says she is going to fight
for him, but she can’t do it without him.
He terminates her services, saying he is going to give custody to
Jennifer.
Uh oh… Jennifer has a little bag of pills. Jack appears, asking if she really thinks this is the answer. He tells her she is strong and has so much to live for; he says he knows she is not going to give up – Thomas needs her he says and Abigail is counting on her. She argues that she is not strong; it’s a show, she says… one big act. She gets frustrated and pours herself a drink of liquor. Chad calls; she hangs up. Jack tells her to hit redial and call him back; he says she needs to tell him that she is going to be raising their grandson because that’s what is right. She looks at her phone, at a picture of Abigail, and begins crying about never being able to hold her again – Jack disappears. She takes the pills with her glass of vodka.
Theo sees Ciara in the square; she’s in a hurry. She just got back from Chicago; Theo tells her about the evidence pointing to Abigail’s death. He tells her about the fake license with her picture on it…he talks about how Abby ‘saw him’ just like any one else. Ciara cries out Thomas needs his mom, then realizes that was insensitive to Theo and apologizes; Theo tells her it’s okay, because he at least has memories of his mom. Just as Chad is telling Belle to get the hell out of there and let him handle this his way, Ciara walks in; she tells Belle it’s okay, she’s there now and can take care of Chad and Thomas. Belle leaves and goes to see Claire, telling her than her dad and she will agree to her deferring college for one year if she will agree to go back after that if her career doesn’t take off. Claire is thrilled and hugs her mom.

Paul tells her that he witnessed Jennifer buy a bottle of vodka from the liquor store and then meet a man in the park to score some pills; she’s hold up in a motel right now. Paul thought Belle would be happier; she leaves him confused. Theo asks Claire to sing her song for him; I think there might be some chemistry building between them. She sings, he smiles, she smiles, she takes his hand and they kiss (even though he just told her he wasn’t sure he could ever get over Ciara). Ciara yells at Chad for even thinking of giving up his baby, saying Abigail would be just as angry at him as she is. Chad argues he is letting him go because he loves him; Ciara says she is not going to let him give him up…she is going to make him strong again. Victor and Maggie talk about
their life together…quality over quantity, Victor tells her – it hasn’t been
long, but it is wonderful, they agree.
She talks about her upcoming surgery, and the possibility of walking
again, after surviving the loss of Bo, Daniel and Will this past year. She recalls their first dance and he tells
her they will dance – always. Sweet. Belle regrets buying the club for Claire;
she thinks she set her up to fail now, because of Claire’s decision to drop out
of college. Shaun assures her Claire
will get tired of being Chloe’s errand girl.
Chloe dreams about Diemos; wakes frightened. Nicole stops by to see Maggie, having heard that she was going to
have the surgery today… she brings her Daniel’s hospital badge, for
comfort.
Nicole is surprised to learn that Diemos is the one who convinced the doctor to do the surgery. She defends Diemos’ motives and Victor fears she has fallen under his spell. Belle makes a comment, comparing Shaun’s advice to Philip, which kind of pisses him off; Philip recalls his conversation with Chloe about the pregnancy. Claire learns that Chloe is pregnant; Chloe swears her to secrecy. Chloe later talks to Philip, reminding him that Diemos can never know this baby is his – Philip says he’ll do whatever she needs.
Nicole goes to see Diemos; he is playing the piano again. She glows as she greets him; she tells him she is willing to come back to Basic Black… he says why stop there? He says he wants her “all in” – she tells him he has to slow down. She tells him about getting shot years ago, and her difficulty having children (having had two miscarriages); she knows he wants a family and tells him he needs to think about this before planning a future with her. He says there are other ways to have a child; points out options, then agrees to back off and take things one step at a time. He welcomes her back to Basic Black, saying there is no one else so simultaneously cut-throat and charming. Maggie is at the hospital now, preparing to go in for surgery; Victor questions the doctor’s dedication, making certain his mind will on this operation, and makes clear what Maggie means to him.

He tells her, with their history, everyone would buy it; she questions why he would be willing to do that. Rafe shows up at Hopes and
talks her into a night of watching movies … but just as they begin the first
one, the power goes out. It’s out all
up and down the block. Rafe suggests
they dance by candlelight, and turns music on his phone. Hope asks him to make love to her; a pretty
sweet love scene, set to the music, ensues.
Roman talks to Justin about an old case where evidence was stolen from the file; a man named Fred somebody-or-other (who used to be on the force) says he knows what happened, saw the whole thing and knows who did it. They set up a meeting with him. Andre sends Aiden out on a job; he meets with a guy in the park, telling him he is doing some private work for the police department and asks to go somewhere else to talk. The man, Fred Dozer, tells Aiden that Justin Kiriakis walked out of the evidence room with a box in his hands on the day the evidence went missing (this man has a picture of it). Justin goes to meet ‘Dozer’ who doesn’t show because he’s already met with Aiden; Aiden calls Gabe, who then takes Justin into the interrogation room to question him.
Jennifer fears she may never hear from her daughter again; she tells Lucas and Sonny’s mom (I always forget her name) that she is suing for custody of Thomas. Chad is selling off his holdings in Dimira Enterprises to continue the search for Abby; he receives an envelop – it is information on a woman going by the name of ‘Jen Thomas’ who got on that downed flight to Miami. He calls someone to discuss it with them (an investigator I guess) and begins crying; he is being told that his wife is dead. Jennifer comes over and he tells her; she cries, he consoles her. JJ makes some calls and verifies that the woman who got on the plane was the same woman on the fake ID; he becomes angry and starts screaming at Chad, saying he ruined his sister’s life. Aiden confirms that the letter was delivered to Chad – and that it said exactly what he wanted it to say; he says, good. He needs everyone to believe that Abigail Dimira died in that plane crash. Belle comes to see Chad. He tells her that it was confirmed that Abby was on that flight; he sobs, as he holds Thomas.
Jennifer ‘sees’ Jack; he tells her no one deserves to lose a child, but she is tough and she will get through this. Roman talks to Justin about an old case where evidence was stolen from the file; a man named Fred somebody-or-other (who used to be on the force) says he knows what happened, saw the whole thing and knows who did it. They set up a meeting with him. Andre sends Aiden out on a job; he meets with a guy in the park, telling him he is doing some private work for the police department and asks to go somewhere else to talk. The man, Fred Dozer, tells Aiden that Justin Kiriakis walked out of the evidence room with a box in his hands on the day the evidence went missing (this man has a picture of it). Justin goes to meet ‘Dozer’ who doesn’t show because he’s already met with Aiden; Aiden calls Gabe, who then takes Justin into the interrogation room to question him.
Jennifer fears she may never hear from her daughter again; she tells Lucas and Sonny’s mom (I always forget her name) that she is suing for custody of Thomas. Chad is selling off his holdings in Dimira Enterprises to continue the search for Abby; he receives an envelop – it is information on a woman going by the name of ‘Jen Thomas’ who got on that downed flight to Miami. He calls someone to discuss it with them (an investigator I guess) and begins crying; he is being told that his wife is dead. Jennifer comes over and he tells her; she cries, he consoles her. JJ makes some calls and verifies that the woman who got on the plane was the same woman on the fake ID; he becomes angry and starts screaming at Chad, saying he ruined his sister’s life. Aiden confirms that the letter was delivered to Chad – and that it said exactly what he wanted it to say; he says, good. He needs everyone to believe that Abigail Dimira died in that plane crash. Belle comes to see Chad. He tells her that it was confirmed that Abby was on that flight; he sobs, as he holds Thomas.

Nicole tells Deimos that she can’t get
him out of her head, and she’s not happy about it. She tells him she is not the person he thinks she is; he promises
he has no desire to change her – he is hoping that she will change him. Chad thinks Abby has stepped into the
doorway, as he hears a woman demeaning him, telling him he is a worthless
father… but it’s Jennifer. She has come
to gloat, saying she already has Thomas (holding the monitor up for him to see,
nothing but static). He wakes up.
Nicole tells Deimos that she doesn’t want to
be his guru any more than she wants to be an old photograph of a woman he used
to love. Belle comes to see Chad; says
they need to figure out how to build him up and tear Jennifer down. After talking, Chad tells her he can tell
something’s wrong, and asks if she wants to talk about it. She tells him just to straighten himself up;
to stop drinking and fix those problems with his businesses. While cleaning out her ‘nursery’ in preparation for Thomas
to come live with her, Jennifer finds an old bottle of pills; she throws it away.
Chloe sees a baby in the
park and becomes uncomfortable as she remembers being with Deimos last
month. Deimos pleads with Nicole to
give him a chance, saying he knows he can make her happy; he asks her to marry
him. He kisses her gently, she
responds, they climb onto the couch and they make love. Afterward, Deimos plays the piano. Nicole goes to meet Chloe for lunch; she
tells her Deimos asked her to marry him.
She says she hasn’t given him an answer, even though she knows she
should run as fast and as far as she can… but she can’t stop thinking about him. Chloe tells her just to be careful; to
really think about it. Chloe holds her
belly after Nicole tells her the one thing she can’t give Deimos is the one
thing he wants… children.
08-03-2016 (Wednesday)
Rafe goes to see his
brother, Dario, at the club; tells him Hope has been released from the
hospital. Dario asks if they threw
Aiden Jennings in jail yet, for trying to kill him; Rafe says there’s no proof
– and he promised Hope he would drop it.
They have a drink and toast Rafe’s future with Hope. Rafe’s mom comes in to the police station
and tells Roman that she wants something done about the bastards to almost
killed her son; she wants them behind bars.
Aiden has snuck in somewhere he isn’t supposed to be – Andre’s hotel room, it appears; he looks on the bottom of a drawer and finds a Deed of Sale taped there and leaves. Chloe talks to Philip in the square; she tells him she’s pregnant. Andre still thinks that Hope and Rafe died in that explosion; Aiden comes home to find him sitting at his computer. Gabi is grabbed by a man in the park; he tells her this is what happens to the family of a murderer. She sprays him with pepper spray and gets away… she makes her way to the club and tells Rafe and Dario about it. She tells them what the man said, that this has to do with her dad; JJ shows up. Rafe and JJ go to the park to look for clues.

Carolyn talks to Teresa;
tells her she needs to rest, for when Tate comes home. Teresa cries, afraid she will never see her
baby again. Brady and John are at the
hotel room where Tate was being held; the clerk tells them that a lady with a
British accent checked in, only stayed a few hours and had a baby with her when
she checked out. Sonny and Paul talk;
conversation is casual at first, then turns to asking each other if they are
seeing anyone. Paul tells Sonny he’s
had a date here and there, but nothing serious; Paul says he’s not sure he can
ever have a relationship again.
Maggie tells Victor she wants Carolyne to try to ‘have a vision’ to see if she can get a lead on Tate. Carolyn comes over; nothing. They go to the park, where Tate was taken – she tries hard, but still nothing. They go to the hotel room where he was being held; nothing still, until… she gets a pull toward the phone. She sees Victor on the phone, looking out of the hotel room window (so it was Victor who set it up?) – Victor looks worried. Looks like he knows she has figured it out. Marlena tells Gabi she and John are getting married again; they would like Ariana to be their flower girl. Gabi said she is sure Ari would like that. She meets with Sonny next; tells him she has been dating JJ (his cousin); they both say it’s a little weird, yeah, but she tells him how great JJ has been with her and Ariana. She asks him if he has thought about giving Paul another chance; he says he’s not over Will. She is pleasantly surprised, though, to hear that they already ‘caught up.’

to represent her in the case against Jennifer for Thomas’ custody; she tells
him he needs to help himself first – get cleaned up. Jennifer brings Hope home from the hospital; Hope can tell
something is bothering her and asks what’s wrong. She tells Hope she wants to hire Aiden Jennings to represent her
in her suit for custody of Thomas. Hope
is stunned. She asks if she really
wants custody or if she is trying to punish Chad because Abigail ran away. Then says she won’t get far with Aiden
representing her. Rafe shows up and
asks what he interrupted.
Chad tells Belle he doesn’t think Jennifer has a chance, being a drug addict; Belle corrects him, having been… she is clean again and right now, she looks like the stable one. Nicole goes to see Deimos at his request; he tells her everything changed again yesterday – he made a deal with Victor, he says. When she asks what’s in it for him, he says “peace.” No more living in anger. She asks if this ‘show’ is for her; he says yes… and for his brother and himself.
Rafe shows up at Hope’s. Surprisingly, Aiden turns down Jennifer’s request to hire him as her attorney. Chloe takes a pregnancy test. Nicole and Deimos begin to make out…she is apparently actually attracted to him. She changes her mind, tells him she can’t yet; she leaves. Shawn and Ciara come home; Rafe says he needs to get to the office, so they stay w Hope… Philip and Belle fight (quietly) over Claire’s career. Belle doesn’t want him supporting her choice not to go back to school; he feels she should be able to make her own decision.

Personal Soap Update: Last two weeks were consumed with the preparation of legal documents to fight this stupid lawsuit filed by my mother, against my daughter; an Answer, a Motion to Dismiss and a Supporting Affidavit, pointing out all the Federal discrimination laws she is breaking by her mere attempt to evict my daughter from the home (regardless of whether she is an 'owner' or not). I feel confident that the Judge will rule in my daughter's favor and the matter will be thrown out of court before it even goes to hearing; at the very least, I am sure it will never go to trial. Ridiculous. Her intelligence has been overridden by her vengeance because of her loss of perceived control.
On DAYS: Steve is tending bar at the club… Kayla walks in, seemingly upset. She can't believe he is doing this; she tells him he will be
miserable at a job like that. He says he is doing it to prove that he wants
nothing more than to be with her. Jade
and Joey stroll through the park; they stop and talk, then kiss. Her dad appears and tells him to get his
hands off his daughter. Nicole, now
eating dinner with Parker, having a nice conversation about his dad again;
Dario appears, asking if this is the ‘other man’ and Nicole smiles. John and Brady question Deimos about a man
they have heard of in Athens, Greece – show him a picture of him with Georgeos
Popodopolus? They ask him to start
explaining things. Summer questions
what she has done, as she looks as Teresa lying helpless on the floor. She’s okay though… Teresa comes to; Summer
leaves town. Teresa goes to tell
Brady. Later, Brady and Teresa get a
note telling them to go to room 1019, where they find one of Tate’s toys;
showing, this is where he has been held.

As Teresa sleeps, she
dreams of loosing Tate in the park; she wakes up as if she has had a
realization. She gets out of bed; she goes to see Brady and tells him it was
Summer (says she drugged her smoothie), she remembers what she was
wearing. Brady blows her off, she hugs
him and goes to see Summer, telling her she remembers everything now. Victor gives Sonny a hard time for not
letting them know he was on his way back from Paris. Sonny tells them he was taking care of a real estate transaction
that took a while; he gives Victor an envelope with a check inside (he sold the
club Victor gave to him in Paris and is giving the money back to Victor).
Deimos talks to the doctor he is blackmailing to help Maggie; he wants to know why – he asks Deimos what his agenda really is. He tells the doctor he doesn’t owe him an explanation for anything and tells him to come with him; the doctor goes. Teresa describes what Summer was wearing that day; Summer denies even being there. Brady tells John he really thinks that Victor may have done this (to try to break up him and Teresa, and gets to set up Summer at the same time); John says that doesn’t make sense. He figures out that the backers of the kidnapper has connections to the Greek mob; they find an old picture with this mob boss and Deimos (so Deimos is behind it?) - Deimos walks in to Maggie and Victor’s condo; says he didn’t realize it was a family reunion – you must be Jackson, he says looking at Sonny, to which Sonny answers yes. Deimos brings in the doctor and tells Victor that he has talked to him and convinced him to change his mind; Victor asks why, the doctor says his brother made him see the light; Deimos says he wants to prove that he has changed. Maggie speaks out and tells Victor they can’t say no; she wants to let the doctor try to help her walk again. Sonny tells him if he has really changed, he will give back everything he took; Deimos says that is the other reason he came today – tells Victor he wants to make him whole again. He offers to give him back half his holdings; he wants to keep Basic Black, half the money, and the house. He tells Maggie he is glad to give her back what was taken from her because she didn’t deserve it; tells Sonny he looks forward to getting to know him, and leaves.
Victor and Justin question if the offer is on the level. Sonny, his mom and his dad, go to the club Sonny used to own, TBD - Deimos follows them into the club and asks them to convince Victor to accept his offer. When he walks away, Sonny tells them he didn’t trust him when he first saw him and now he trusts him even less. Justin leaves and his mom tells Sonny that she and Lucas are engaged; he says he is happy if she is happy. As he goes to pay the check, Sonny runs into Paul; he tells him he is home, where he belongs. Maggie begs Victor to end the war with Deimos. Summer and Teresa begin to wrestle, as Teresa demands she tell her where her son is… she says she already told her everything she knows. She didn’t accept the offer; she says she is going to find Brady. Teresa pushes her up against the door, telling her she’s not going anywhere. Justin is called to the station about missing evidence from a couple months back; the commander says he caught a break and knows something about what happened to it. Justin looks terrified.
Deimos walks into the mansion to find John and Brady waiting there; they want to talk to him about the Chopan Group – he knows he is caught. Teresa tells Summer she has hated her from the moment she laid eyes on her; calls her a pathetic loser and Summer gets really upset. Teresa says to tell her where her son is or she will kill her; Summer returns the comment, telling Teresa to stop laying her problems on her or… Teresa turns and slips, knocking her head on the corner of a table and falls to the floor, bleeding.

Blanca talks to Adriana about moving out; Adriana says she
wants her to stay… Blanca says she is doing for her, in case some one else
shows up on her doorstep, like Eduardo maybe.
She tells Adriana he looks at her the same way Rafe looks at Hope – she
says that’s the last thing she wants to hear.
Blanca says everyone sees it; and they see that she still loves him
too. Steve sits at a table, at the
club, hoping to hear from Kayla; she’s at work. Fynn asks her if they can go somewhere private; she looks a
little frightened. He tells her he just
didn’t want to discuss her medical condition in front of the other staff; he
wants to take her for some tests… she is showing symptoms he doesn’t like. There is definitely some discomfort between
them.
Eduardo brings Steve another
drink; says it’s on the house. Steve
reminisces about the club when it was called The Cheating Heart; he taught
Kayla to play pool there. After checking her vitals, Fynn tries to
convince Kayla that it is time to move on; tells her he’s ready for a real
relationship…and thinks she’s the one. They
almost kiss; Steve walks in on them.
She says they’ll talk later, to Fynn, as she runs after Steve. Joey and Jade talk, after making love again;
she talks about how much his mom loves him and how she wishes her mom felt that
way about her.
Adriana considers giving
Eduardo a chance; she goes to talk to him at the club and almost tells him, but
finds the note that was left for him yesterday, calling him a murderer. She leaves.
Joey wakes up to find Jade gone; she’s in the park, ignores his
text. Kayla follows Steve into the
other room and thanks him for not causing a scene – saying, she is actually
glad he walked in when he did. He says
he is too, because she can see that he can control his temper; and he’s taken a
safer job (at the club with Eduardo). She
tells him he will be miserable; he says he is miserable without her, and asks
her to let him try. Still, giving her
time, he walks away.
07-26-2016 (Tuesday)
Eduardo gets a frightening
note, calling him a murderer; he looks around but can’t see who left it. Dario asks Nicole out on a date; they go to
a shooting range - He gives her a picture of Kate’s face to use on her
target. She laughs. He shows her how to shoot, giving
instruction about hand placement, etc.
Nicole’s turn... she takes aim.
Deimos tells Victor he really wants things to change between then;
Victor doesn’t believe him – Deimos says almost dying changed him. He wants to learn to live without hatred;
Victor does not look convinced. He
tells him no one in this town believes the crap he is shoveling; no one.
Claire overhears Philip and Chloe’s conversation, and decides to interrupt and offer some of her song writing skills; Philip blows her off, telling her they need recognizable names for publicity (but no offense). Claire is a lot nicer about it than I would be. Victor’s on the phone with Justin; talking about Deimos and telling Justin to get the plan moving…they have to find out what Deimos is up to now, Victor says. Deimos texts Nicole; she’s busy taking aim at Kate’s face – tells Dario how much she enjoyed it. She thanks him, saying she needed this (but lets him know she doesn’t want to lead him on). Justin asks Deimos to meet for drinks; tells him about Tate being kidnapped… Deimos seems stunned, and says anyone who would do that to a child deserves to burn in hell. Nicole and Dario walk in to the bar; Dario asks her to come to work for him at Basic Black. She declines. He asks what he has to do to earn her trust again; she says he can’t. He suggests keeping their business and personal relationship separate; she suggests not having any relationship at all.
Belle and Shawn discuss Claire’s announcement that she is not going to college; she is pursuing her career. They start to fight, but manage to come to an agreement (now they just have to figure out how to make it happen). Claire tells Theo that she got Philip to give her a job ‘helping out’ and she’s sure she can get them to listen to her stuff when the time is right. She thanks him for giving her the encouragement she needed to go talk to them. He asks about Ciara but Claire says she hasn’t really been talking to her lately; she only knows she moved back in with her mom recently. When he asks why, she tells him she got in over her head with Chad… she really liked him and realized he’s not going to get over Chad. She realizes here that she probably shouldn’t have told him that; Theo excuses himself. He goes to see Ciara.
Justin tells Victor that he thinks Deimos has changed; he seemed sincerely concerned when he told him about Tate. Deimos calls a retired surgeon, a specialist, demanding he come out of retirement to help a ‘friend’ of his; the doctor tells him, if he is talking about Maggie Kariakis, Victor has already offered him a king’s ransom and there isn’t enough money to get him to do it. Deimos tells him he didn’t say anything about using money to get him to do it; threatens him with dirty information he has on him, showing him a folder. The doctor concedes. Belle goes to talk to Philip after Claire tells them about her new job. She accuses him of using Claire to stay close to her; Philip tells her Claire asked for the job and Chloe is the one who said yes…he just watched it happen. But he thinks it’s interesting that her first reaction was to think of him.

Deimos texts Nicole; she’s busy taking aim at Kate’s face – tells Dario how much she enjoyed it. She thanks him, saying she needed this (but lets him know she doesn’t want to lead him on). Justin asks Deimos to meet for drinks; tells him about Tate being kidnapped… Deimos seems stunned, and says anyone who would do that to a child deserves to burn in hell. Nicole and Dario walk in to the bar; Dario asks her to come to work for him at Basic Black. She declines. He asks what he has to do to earn her trust again; she says he can’t. He suggests keeping their business and personal relationship separate; she suggests not having any relationship at all.
Belle and Shawn discuss Claire’s announcement that she is not going to college; she is pursuing her career. They start to fight, but manage to come to an agreement (now they just have to figure out how to make it happen). Claire tells Theo that she got Philip to give her a job ‘helping out’ and she’s sure she can get them to listen to her stuff when the time is right. She thanks him for giving her the encouragement she needed to go talk to them. He asks about Ciara but Claire says she hasn’t really been talking to her lately; she only knows she moved back in with her mom recently. When he asks why, she tells him she got in over her head with Chad… she really liked him and realized he’s not going to get over Chad. She realizes here that she probably shouldn’t have told him that; Theo excuses himself. He goes to see Ciara.
Justin tells Victor that he thinks Deimos has changed; he seemed sincerely concerned when he told him about Tate. Deimos calls a retired surgeon, a specialist, demanding he come out of retirement to help a ‘friend’ of his; the doctor tells him, if he is talking about Maggie Kariakis, Victor has already offered him a king’s ransom and there isn’t enough money to get him to do it. Deimos tells him he didn’t say anything about using money to get him to do it; threatens him with dirty information he has on him, showing him a folder. The doctor concedes. Belle goes to talk to Philip after Claire tells them about her new job. She accuses him of using Claire to stay close to her; Philip tells her Claire asked for the job and Chloe is the one who said yes…he just watched it happen. But he thinks it’s interesting that her first reaction was to think of him.

Aiden goes to see Chase;
lies about him and Hope. Chase can
tell he's lying. He askes if something bad
happened. He insists his father tell
him the truth; Aiden says that he decided, he needs to back off. Chase figures Hope just doesn’t want him;
then he tells his dad that he feels like he doesn’t exist anymore…he hates the hospital; everyone
ignores him or avoids him; says he was better off in prison. Ciara talks to her mother in the hospital
now, so happy to see her; apparently she had a ruptured spleen. She is lucky to be alive – and it’s all due
to Rafe, Ciara reminds her. She
questions how she could have gone off with Aiden when Rafe loves her so
much. Hope tells her that it will never
happen again; she told Aiden to leave town.
Ciara tells her mom that her volunteer work has really opened her eyes to how important psychiatry is to people’s lives; and how its kind of sad that Chad says he just feels dead inside now. At home, with his mother, Rafe grows tired of hearing her demean Hope (he defends her, letting her know that she is the one who saved him this time); he tells her she refused to leave him, saying she would rather die than leave him… she still carries on. His sister comes in and tells their mother to quit yelling, hugging Rafe, saying all that matters is that they are alive. Gabby gets her mother to go out on the porch with her; she asks her to back off of Hope, explaining that she is really a good person. Regardless, Adriana still thinks Hope is trouble.
Eduardo offers his help to Rafe, going after Aiden Jennings. He declines, but Eduardo says the offer stands. Mom and Gabby come back in and she starts up again about Hope. Bianca arrives, overhears their conversation; Adriana, Eduardo and Gabby all excuse themselves… Bianca apologizes to Rafe. Rafe apologizes to her; he leaves to visit Hope in the hospital. He tells her he will get her anything she needs; she says she has everything she needs – him. Gabby comes home to find Bianca looking for apartments online; talks to her about why. Ciara sees Chase at the mental hospital; he says she is the only person who doesn’t treat him differently – and she’s the one person who should. He asks her to tell him what is going on with his dad and her mom. It’s hard for Ciara not to just blurt out what an awful person Aiden really is; she tells him they should probably talk. She lets him know she is decent to him because it is her job; it doesn’t mean anything is better between them – he was his friend, and he raped her…throwing their friendship away, and he is not going to get it back. Then, she brings up his dad. Tells him that his mom found out the truth… he didn’t get kidnapped, everything was a lie – he is the one who married her and tried to kill her. Chase says that can’t be true; Ciara assures him it is.
Aiden recalls Hope, in the interrogation room, telling him that the blood tests they did proved that the blood from the man that tried to kill her on their wedding night matches the blood from their testing for their marriage license. The man that tried to kill her wasn’t an imposter – “it was you,” she says. Aiden’s “double” walks in the door; says he is the part of him that he hides in front of the judge and on Sunday, at Mass; says he is a spineless jellyfish… tells him Hope will never want him – she’s on to you, he says. He doesn’t want to move on without her; but his apparent ‘other self’ tells him he will never have her, because she sees him for what he really is and might just put a bullet in his head if she sees him again. Says he screwed up, letting Andre make it look like he put a hit out on Rafe. Arguing with himself, he says he is sure he can fix this; his double says he better hope so, or he is going to prison for a very long time. He tells him he needs to find himself a position of power; then leans down and tells him he’s got his back… they are in this together. He starts researching DNA testing and the legal system, and smiles. I wonder how he thinks he is going to get out of this?

Kate comes down the stairs with her bags; Deimos said he hopes that’s the last of it. She is angry he got his way; the fake marriage is being annulled, but says he gave away all his leverage. He tells her if she tries to cross him again, he has more he can do. She leaves in a huff. Bell and Shawn talk about Summer coming back from Vegas to try to help find Tate; they think she might be telling the truth. Brady waits anxiously by the phone; it rings… it’s for John.
Summer is taking a nap; Brady questions if there is any other exit from the room she’s in. Paul tells him there’s a guard in there. Brady ponders if this is Victor’s doing anyway; after talking to Maggie, he doesn’t know what to think. Steve shows up with cold drinks; he’s been investigating. He says Victor could be involved; Victor walks in the door, asking if there is any word. Teresa goes to see Marlena; she wants to go under hypnosis to try to figure out what happened. Nicole shows Dario her ideas for the redesign of the club; Deimos walks in and asks to speak to her, alone.

Marlena and John stroll through the park; he
thanks her for getting him out of the office.
They discuss where Tate might be.
And then discuss wedding plans; John suggests getting married on Wrigley
field. Marelena laughs at first and
then realizes he is serious. Victor and
Maggie discuss Summer taking Tate – he is being ugly and Maggie does to lay
down. Brady shows up at Victor’s door;
he tells him that he had the resources.
Victor swears he didn’t do it but Brady does not believe him. He demands to know where his son is.
Teresa brings in coffee for Summer, who is now at the police station. Summer swears she took the blackmail money and ran; she didn’t take Tate. She tells her until Tate is safe and sound, back in her arms, no one is taking their eyes off of her… Rafe wonders through a dark hallway, screaming for help; he comes out from behind a wall of shelves in Chad’s library. He tells Chad they have to get Hope. (I guess that building was attached to the mansion somehow.) Hope is bruised and bloody, and dreaming of past events in her life with Aiden; and then of the last few moments with Rafe. Chad follows Rafe back through the tunnels and carries Hope out; they call for an ambulance.

goes to Las Vegas; however, she does not have the baby with her. Rafe makes his way through a long, dark
hallway, determined to find his way to get help for Hope.

Summer, with her hair now
died brown, is frantically packing her bag in her motel room; as she steps out
to leave, Teresa and Brady are there… they stop her. Inside the room, they interrogate her, she swears she knows
nothing; Brady is sure she is lying.
When she tries to leave, he pushes her down on the bed – she’s not
leaving until she talks.
Maggie recalls her conversation with Brady; she is sad. Victor tells her he’s sorry for what she is going through. Maggie says she really wants to believe Summer didn’t have anything to do with Tate’s disappearance; Victor, in an apparent attempt to make her feel better, says it’s partially Teresa’s fault. She wasn’t drugged the day he found her sleeping in the square, he says. Roman says he hopes Summer DOES have Tate, then at least they would know where he is.
Shawn tells Eduardo about the explosion, and the fact that Hope and Rafe were inside when it happened. Maggie tells him he can’t play God with people’s lives; he leaves to go talk to the police. When he tries to kiss her, she pulls away. Brady gets nowhere angrily talking to Summer; Teresa begins to plead with her… “if you didn’t commit a crime, why are you running?” She admits, because she did commit a crime – she tells them she killed Clark. Teresa is shocked; Summer continues to explain. Roman tells Victor that Summer has been detained and that she was being blackmailed to take Tate. Rafe goes to find a way out; Hope starts to fade out again.
