Friday 05-27-2016

Kayla and Fynn stop at a motel, on their way to Los Angeles to meet Steve and find Joey; he goes to get hamburgers… Kayla’s head is hurting.  Joey is still second-guessing the decision to stay at Jade’s aunt’s commune, as he looks at the ‘brand’ they put on the back of their hands.  Chase gets another visit from his dad; he’s not very receptive to his father’s eagerness to get him out.  Eduardo is concerned that Gabi and JJ are getting so close.  One of JJ’s friends, Rory(?) is brought in to the police station, caught with five kilos of cocaine on his lap – he says the people it belonged to just stuffed it on his lap and took off; he swears it’s not his, but won’t give the names of the people who stuck him with it.  JJ is given permission to interrogate him; he says he might be able to get him immunity.  He gets him to give up two names; then Roman gets made at JJ and tells him he didn’t have the right to offer an immunity deal.  

As Kayla and Fynn sit down to eat, she gets another headache; he wants to take her to a hospital, but she refuses.  He gives her a pain pill, but tells her it will knock her out.  What seems to be seconds later, Kayla lies sleeping, and hears a knock at the door; she gets up and opens it. It’s Steve… he tells her he has found Joey, and he is dead.  She starts crying; then wakes up.  Chase tells his dad that he believes there is something wrong with him, deep down inside, he believes he is rotten; Aiden offers to get him help, a psychiatrist.  Chase explodes and tells his father he doesn’t want help, just to leave him alone and not come back to visit anymore.  Steve tracks down Jade’s aunt and tries to persuade her to let him talk to Joey.  She claims Joey and Jade passed through a couple of days ago and then headed on; he smells kombucha (tea) and asks if he can have a cup.  She invites him into the kitchen.

Meanwhile, Joey gets in a fight with the guy who was hitting on Jade when they first arrived at the commune.  Jade breaks up the fight; Joey says he’s out of there.  Jade follows him.  On the way through the commune, Steve finds them; they run and take off on the bike.  Gabbi and JJ make love; Rory shows up at his door and punches him.  Roman comes to tell Aiden that Chase got in a fight in the prison yard and has been stabbed; he is being taken to the hospital.  As Aiden passes through the square, he bumps into Eduardo but keeps going – Eduardo looks as if he knows him.  Then Eduardo gets a text from a “private caller”, asking about a Patrick Johansen and other men he murdered.  Rafe invites Hope out for a ‘casual’ dinner; Roman lets her know about the stabbing.  She goes to the hospital to console Aiden.

Thursday 05-26-2016

Sitting at lunch with her parents, Claire can tell that they spent the night together… she is happy for them, but they caution her not to read too much in to it.  After she leaves them, they talk – Philip listens – Shaun tells Belle he felt a real connection again; Belle insists she just had too much to drink.  The kids had their court hearing and they were given community service for vandalizing the judge’s car.  Theo is worried about Ciara; she told him she just wants to be alone today.  Hope talks her into meeting with Marelena this afternoon; she calls Claire to babysit for her.  Claire asks why she’s avoiding Theo; she says she just doesn’t want to hurt him.  Belle asks Shaun what he is going to do about Lani; she is getting ready for a date with Shaun tonight.  Rafe and Hope talk about Aiden; Rafe isn’t happy Hope was even talking to him… he believes he is weak, corrupt and amoral, still.

Aiden is on the phone, asking if “it” is ready… not sure what that's about.  Belle finds Philip in the square; they talk.  He tells her he’s glad that she and Shaun are moving in the right direction (she pretends not to know what he’s talking about at first); he tells her that he hopes she knows he really just wants her to be happy.  She says she knows that.  Ciara admits to Marlene that she used to like Chase – she knew he had a dark side, and she liked it – which makes her think maybe she has a dark side too, which is why she has decided that she can’t be with anyone like Theo.  She is afraid she will hurt him.  She also realizes that she may be afraid of finding someone she really loves, and then losing them.  Marlena tells her she thinks she made a lot of progress today and ends the session.  

Belle comes home and talks to her mother about Claire; Marlena mentions that her life was torn apart (Belle reacts, “you mean because I had an affair, moved her here and divorced her father?”); Marlena responds, that’s exactly what she means.  Hope and Rafe have lunch; Aiden walks in.  Aiden tells Hope he had hoped to finish their conversation; Rafe tells him they just ate.  He leaves and Rafe tells Hope that Aiden was letting her know he is not giving up on her.  Theo and Claire talk about Ciara… he tells her he doesn’t know what’s going on – one day she wants to hang out with him and the next she won’t even talk, he mentions having spent the night with her (Claire looks shocked); he explains that they just cuddled and slept in her bed.  She tells him he shouldn’t be disappointed if all Ciara wants to be is friends for now.  He looks slightly confused.  

Philip sits at the bar; he makes a pass at the female bartender.  Belle calls Shaun and asks him out to dinner… he accepts and turns around to see Lani standing there.  He lets her know that he is hoping to work things out with Belle and apologizes to her – she wishes him the best.  Ciara comes back to find Theo talking with Claire; she tells him that she just isn’t ready for a relationship yet (and that she doesn’t think he is what she’s looking for); Claire tells her she is breaking his heart.

Wednseday 05-25-201

As Kayla thinks she is ready to be discharged from the hospital, she experiences more pain and lightheadedness.  Kayla insists she is going to help Steve find Joey; her doctor/friend says then he is going with her.  Joey tells Jade he thinks he wants to go back to Salem; she tries to talk him out of it.  Shaun stares at Belle, lying next to him; she wakes up, grabs her head and reaches for a pill.  Claire hollers out, asking if her mom is ready; they have to go to court.  

Ciara is asking Hope what it’s going to be like; she thanks her for going with her.  Aiden goes to see Chase in prison.  Chase doesn’t believe it’s really him, or does he?  Aiden explains that he got himself in debt to Stefano Dimira and couldn’t do what he was supposed to do; so they took him and got someone else to do the job.  The story is hard to swallow…but he describes the months of torture.  Steve is still tracking the kids but is no closer; John shows up.  Joey tells Jade, with or without her, he’s out of there.  She kisses him, trying to distract him.  Shaun tells Belle he has no regrets about last night, even though she doesn’t want their daughter to know they ‘are back together.’  She goes to shower.  

Chase tells his dad he doesn’t deserve to get out; he did such a horrible thing… he calls his dad an evil son-of-a-bitch, and says he turned out exactly like him.  Aiden apologizes to Chase for times being so rough on him, but he swears he didn’t kill his mother – he couldn’t take a life, and that’s why they took him.  He says he wants to get Chase out of there and promises him things will be better.  Lani asks Shaun what’s going on with him and his ex; he insists, nothing… she asks if they are okay, he says sure.  She lays a kiss on him.  Steve gets a call from Kayla, telling him she’s coming out there to help; he says no way in hell.  Jade offers her hand to be branded; she asks Joey to do it too.  Aiden gets a call from Andre; he tells him to hurry up and figure out how to get him out of there.

Jennifer walks through her house sobbing, saying “I can’t do this, it hurts too much” and she gets her purse and heads for the door.  Lucas is there, asking if she wants help.  She cries and says she does.  They go inside and talk; she mentions having hiding spots all over the house before, digging pills out of the garbage… and now she sees Abby slipping away, it’s so hard.  But everything hit her when Chad refused to let her watch the baby overnight because he didn’t trust her – he told her he felt she could be a danger to her grandson.  She went home and flushed everything she had down the toilet.  Now she’s panicking.  She recalls how desperate she’s been in the past to get them, how far would she go, she wondered.  Lucas commends her for getting rid of the pills and for calling him over to help her; then he gives her a lesson about labeling, when she refers to herself as a junkie (he reminds her they are addicts, and addiction is a disease).  She argues that she’s still in pain, though… maybe she could still take them and just be more careful – he invites her to a meeting tomorrow.  He vows not to leave her alone to deal with this ever again.  Jennifer says she feels stupid, weak and ashamed… he tells her to lose those feelings.  She’s no different than anyone else.  He tells her to get some sleep and he will stay right there and clean up quietly until it’s time for the meeting.  

Jennifer wakes up on the couch, with Abby yelling at her, asking where the baby is; she tells her he was out in the driveway, crawling around… she tells her mom goodbye – says she’s not there anyway.  She of all people should have understood what was happening to her; Abby asks, “where were you?”  Abby hands her a bottle of pills, saying it’s no wonder JJ is where he is… later, Jennifer stands in a jailhouse; there’s a bottle of pills on the table.  She opens them.   JJ walks in and asks if she’s going to share and begs her for some.  He mocks her; then they tell her it’s time to go, back to her cell.  The officer is someone she knows (but I don’t, Jack?).  She refuses to go – the jailer asks her when the last time she laughed was, if she’s forgotten.  She recalls some old memories.  She tells the man that girl is gone; she died when he died.  

Meanwhile, Lucas calls someone and tells him or her Jennifer is sleeping but he doesn’t think she will sleep through the night.  Her dream continues, as she explains how he always left, he was always leaving them, how she had to raise the kids alone because he was never there… and then finally, they got their act together – they were one heart.  Then he was gone.  She sits down and talks about the house, her parents house, so many ghosts, so much space; and now the kids are gone and with him gone, she feels like she’s gone.  She no loner has a ‘title’ (someone’s mom, someone’s aunt, etc); now she’s alone.  She asks why he’s there – he says he remembers… tells her to seize the day, she’s free, she’s a blank page… she can make herself whatever she wants.  He tells her to write, to write a whole story; she says that sounds tiring.  He tells her she has help all around her; she takes a pill.  

She wakes up screaming, still on the couch; her aunt, Julie, and uncle are there.  They promise to look after her… they say they are moving back in.  Jennifer goes back to sleep in her bed.  She wakes up alone, and decides to get up, falling out of bed, she finds pills under the bed frame.  Julie walks in and catches her opening them, tries to take them from her and Jennifer hits her (slapping her across the face).  She immediately cringes and hugs her, crying, says she’s sorry – Julie forgives her.  Julie wakes up next and finds Jennifer gone; but she’s just downstairs getting ready to go to the meeting with Lucas.  He walks her in; Brady and Maggie are there too, in support of her and for themselves.  Maggie encourages Jennifer to get up and speak; she announces that this is her first meeting ever, but not her last, then introduces herself, and admits that she’s an addict.  Pretty good episode.

Monday 05-23-2016

Belle drinks at the bar; Shaun shows up… he apologizes.  Shaun offers her a ride home; she blubbers a while, Shaun admits he’s screwed up too, they end up in bed.  Kate walks in to find Nicole standing in the living room of the mansion, in her robe.  Deimos buttons up his shirt before stepping around the corner.  Hope pushes Aiden away, but Rafe has already left so he doesn’t see that.  He’s now at a bar getting a drink.  Aiden asks Hope if she is in love with Rafe – she looks at him with shock, why, I don’t know.  It’s obvious she and Rafe are in love (watch the writers tear that apart).  John comes in; asks how hung over a detective will he be in the morning.  He says he’s about to stop.  He admits to John that he and Hope are involved and makes no apologies; Hope tells Aiden, yes… she is in love with Rafe.  Aiden apologizes and begins to leave.  She tells him to wait; she explains that things just changed, she and Rafe are good together.  She gets angry when Aiden mentions clearing Chase of the charges against him.  She then starts to cry and begs him not to do anything to get Chase out of jail.

John tells Rafe his fight is with Aiden; Rafe agrees, Aiden is going to take advantage of the situation.  Hope tells Aiden to stay away from Ciara and back off of her; he says he will.  Deimos makes his entrance, telling Nicole her clothes are dry; acts surprised to see Kate – she knows better.  Nicole excuses herself to get dressed; Kate tells Deimos he shouldn’t play games… his plan is backfiring.  She questions the brandy glasses, and the smell of perfume on his clothes that isn’t hers – she slaps him!  Wow.  Deimos tells her she is dangerously close (she asks to what…some imaginary line?)  She tells him he has already crossed it.  He claims to have been playing Nicole because he was curious to know what she is up to – and tells her he doesn’t apologize for anything he does; get used to it, he says.  She whispers in his ear, neither do I… then tells Nicole he’s all hers, as she storms out the door.  Aiden buys a bottle of liquor on his way home, cause that’s the answer to everything.  

Rafe shows up at Hope’s door, telling her he is not loosing her, no matter what Aiden does; he is not loosing her, he repeats.  Deimos kisses Nicole and asks her to let him take her upstairs… she tells him there’s two differences between her and Kate – she has a sense of humor and she prefers a commitment before she commits.  She kisses him and walks out.  Deimos sits down at his piano and plays by the candlelight, a haunting melody (he plays very well).  Kate walks into the bar and bumps into John (as the music still plays in the background); she orders a double martini, extra dirty.  Nicole calls Victor, tells him things are going good… tells him to back off Deimos, she has it covered (music is still playing).  Nicole sits on the park bench, Rafe and Hope kiss in her living room, Aiden lights candles and pops open his bottle (wait, he’s looking at a picture of him and Hope).  Music still plays, as Kate sips her drink, Nicole gets up from the bench, and Bell and Shaun begin to make love.  

Friday, 05-20-2016

Rafe comes home, makes a sandwich and his mom tells him Kayla has offered her a job ass a nurse.  Nicole sees Deimos’ scar and asks how he got it; he tells her his brother feels the need to brand things.  Hope wanders her house in the storm, and his flashbacks of the night ‘Aiden’ tried to kill her – then of talking to him yesterday – she puts on her coat and goes out.  Aiden wakes up, on a couch (wherever he is sleeping); he’s having flashbacks about being locked up and tortured… he gets up and decides to go out.  He finds Hope sitting on the bench in the park.  Belle tells Claire that there will be consequences for her actions regardless of what happens in court tomorrow.  She tells her she’s not getting the car she was going to get; Claire gets mad and tells her that’s fine, she will just move out and move in with Ciara.  

Chad pours himself a drink (he obviously misses Abby); he looks over and sees Stefano.  Philip comes to see Belle – he’s bringing her legal papers to review.  She questions his motives and he questions whether she wants to have anything more to do with the business.  Rafe finds the black roses and asks his mom if there is something she needs to tell him about.  He gets angry and says maybe it was a mistake letting Eduardo back into their lives; Adriana says they are not going to abandon him (because that’s not what you do with family).  

Nicole pretends to be compassionate toward Deimos and they kiss passionately.  Deimos asks her to come upstairs with him; she tells him she doesn’t want to be a mistress… she also warns him against Kate – she poisoned two of her husbands so far, she suggests he gets a food taster and hides pointed objects.  He asks Nicole what if he asked her to marry him?  She says she would see through it – it would be a test, whatever answer she gives would be wrong.  He says, “ah”… admits he is looking for a woman with brains.  She claims to still not know what he’s thinking.  Better to be unknowable he says, though its tiring.  She tells him to stop, acting so concerned and enfactuated, touching his chest, and face, she tells him he needs a woman who can heal him, not push him over the edge… warning him again, to be wary of Kate.  Stefano questions where Chad’s wife is, then questions what is good for Chad's son, telling him sometimes you need to make a sacrifice (I suppose that is supposed to be significant).  Ciara gets up and finds Chad standing there, asks what he sees – he says nothing, he’s just lost.  She takes his hand and then he turns and kisses her.  She then wakes up.  

Hope asks Aiden why he’s out walking in the rain… he tells her it felt like the walls were closing in; it happens now, he says, a lot, because of the confinement.  He tells her what kept him going was knowing as long as he was alive there was a chance he would see her again.  She allows him to sit on the bench next to her, but when he tells her for him, some things are still the same, she yells at him that nothing is the same.  Claire calls her dad to tell him that she’s moving out.  Chad screams at Stefano, he will not sacrifice his wife; Stefano says he may not have a choice – he screams no, and wakes up.  So now Ciara and Chard are really standing there, I believe; she says she checked on Thomas and he’s still asleep.  Chad asks Ciara if she would like to learn how to play chess, on a real board, not an ‘app’; she says sure.  

Bells shows up at Shaun’s request to talk about Claire moving out, bla bla bla.  They just cannot get along for anything.  Eduardo is playing some texting game with this unknown person who is stalking him; there’s a knock at his door – he’s prepared for anything (with a bat) but, thankfully, it’s Rafe.  He asks who Patrick Johansen is.  Eduardo says, “an old sin, one [he] will never stop paying for.”  As Chad teaches Ciara the strategy behind the game of chess, he tells her you just have to think carefully – there’s always another move – that’s the way life works… you just have to believe it.  Wise words.  Good job writers!  Hope and Aiden have a decent conversation, then say goodbye; he offers her his umbrella and catches her offguard with a kiss, just as Rafe rounds the corner to see them.

Thursday 05-19-2016

John is still by Paul’s bedside – he is doing much better now.  Justin comes to talk to Deimos.  Deimos tells Kate they will postpone their plans until tomorrow.  Deimos makes a deal with Justin for preferential treatment from the D.A.’s office.  He tells him he will be tested.  Justin will have to stay on his toes.  Nicole meets with Dario… she believes Victor has a backup plan in case she doesn’t go through with it.  She tells him Kate asked Deimos to get married – they decide they need to step up their game.  Nicole is afraid she’s not ready to go that far.  Gabi’s mom walks in on her and JJ kissing; slightly offended, she tells them not to do that in front of the baby.  Gabi reminds her she is an adult – and asks her to accept that she and JJ are a couple.  She gives her blessing.  Wow this relationship with Kate just gets stranger… they begin to talk about the upcoming marriage – Deimos tells her she will sign a prenup.  She acts offended, telling him she has her own money; maybe he’s after her’s.  He says, fine… “draw up your own” – dueling pre-nups, she laughs.  Not very romantic; then they pour a glass of champagne and kiss.  

John tells Paul this was all his fault (because of his crazy father)… apparently, he wanted to take out as much of Salem as possible and used Paul to infect the town.  Paul gets a little ugly with his father and tells him he just needs to be alone.  John leaves the room; Paul confesses to Marlena that he is afraid he may have some subliminal thoughts still floating around inside his head; he doesn’t want to hurt his father.  Marlena tells Paul it’s worth the risk; John wants a relationship with him – he can’t dismiss him like that.  

Nicole stands outside the mansion now; it’s raining.  She talks to Dario on the phone, under her umbrella, asking him to make sure Kate does not come back to see Deimos.  She puts up her umbrella and rings the door bell.  Deimos answers, and sees her, soaking wet.  She tells him she got a flat tire.  Deimos invites her to go upstairs for a hot shower; he’ll have a servant bring her a robe and dry her clothes.  Dario bumps into Kate (literally), spilling her coffee; he offers to buy her a new cup while he tells her his reasons for leaving Titan Industries.  She tells him that she could use someone like him back at Titan.  Eduardo interrupts.  After he leaves, Dario questions what happened between Kate and Eduardo.  Kate says she needs to get going.  A bouquet of black roses waits for Eduardo, sent by someone in his past.  Nicole appears, wearing a silk robe.  He stares at her in admiration.  He offers her a cup of tea; she says she would rather have a Brandi.  He offers to play the piano for her… she sits down by him; the kiss.

Julia freaks out when she sees Aiden.  Nicole reads a letter, from  Erik, apologizing about taking Daniel away – it makes her cry.  Maggie sees her and tries to console her… Nicole vows to get revenge against Deimos.  Maggie tells Nicole she doesn’t want her to have anything to do with him.  Kate throws Deimos for a loop, as he almost chokes on his wine, when she asks him to go to Vegas and get married; Justin solidifies plans with Victor, against Deimos, as Victor talks about how upset he is to be having Maggie in a wheelchair and Summer in the guest room rather than vacationing in Paris right now, and blames Deimos, of course.  Rafe remembers happy times with Hope; Eduardo shows up to talk to him.  Says his mom is worried about him.

Hope has a horrible dream… Aiden is on the couch, begging her to give him another chance – she leans in and lets him kiss her, then Chase walks in the door, saying “well, here we are again” and Ciara screams.  Hope wakes up; Shaun is at the door.  She tells him she is thinking about giving Aiden a chance to prove himself.  Nicole stops by with a question for Deimos – Kate is not happy.  She excuses herself.  Aiden has haunting dreams, about being in the cage and the night he was kidnapped.  Nicole meets Justin at Deimos’ door and tells him that if he or Victor do anything to mess up what she has begun, they will regret it.  Victor asks Maggie if she wants to just leave; go somewhere else.  Maggie tells Victor, she is happy living anywhere with him, but she doesn’t want to run away.  Deimos accepts Kate’s proposal.

Brady talks to Belle in the park; she asks if he and Teresa have picked a wedding date.  He tells Belle that they started to talk about it and ended up fighting; she asks if he’s having second thoughts.  Ann comes to talk to Teresa; Teresa tells her she is going to figure out what else Summer is hiding if it kills her.  Maggie and Summer sit down in the square for lunch – Summer asks Maggie to tell her more about her father.  Aiden shows up at Hope’s door to show her a video of their first dance and asks if they can talk; Hope agrees, but won’t let him in.  She tells him they can’t erase the past year because all he’s done is lie to her from the moment they met.  

Summer mentions looking for her dad, and Maggie immediately tells her NO; she begs her not to do that.  Aiden swears he really was in love with her (he wanted to come back to her, to make it all up to her); she says, he can’t.  He has no proof that he was being held hostage, He tells her how he was always knocked about by toxic gas when they brought food in, and how he practiced holding his breath, overpowered the guard, and here he is.  Hope says she’s sorry for what he went through, but wonders why the Dimira’s kept him alive. Aiden claims not to know.  Belle insists and Brady needs to really think about this marriage; asks if he is positive he wants to be in this for a life time… if he’s having all this trouble already, it may be a sign.  Ann tells Teresa she needs to not let the Summer think bug her so much; they need to focus on DJ Wear – they are on their own now since Nicole left.

Maggie tells Summer the search will lead no where and asks her to just drop it.  Summer says ok.  Victor shows up to take Maggie to tea; he gets Summer alone and asks if he should call her Cindy.  Belle tells Brady that Philip broke up with her because he thinks she’s still has feelings for Shaun.  He asks if she does; she says, maybe, she doesn’t know.  Apparently Teresa was the one who gave Victor the flyer about Summer’s alternate identity.  Ann reminds Teresa that Victor has more important things to worry about than Summer, then tells Teresa she needs to quit being so paranoid.  As they continue to talk, Hope begins to see the Aiden she knew; he tells Hope if there is the slightest opportunity to work things out with her, he won’t go anywhere.  She tells him there is no hope, although she looks touched when he tells her he still loves her.  

Summer tells Dario she needs his help again; Brady sees them talking and interrupts them.  Summer gets angry at Brady when he implies that she and Dario might be up to something; she says she is going to leave Salem.  Tracy finds Brady in the square and is upset again that he is with Summer.  Hope sits at Bo’s graveside, who’s name is actually really spelled Beau, I guess (Beauregard,Aralius Brady, the headstone says) telling him she’s at a fork in the road and needs him to give her some kind of sign which direction to go; Aiden stands in the background, listening to her.

John sits by Paul’s bedside, even though, he, himself is also sick; Paul is in serious condition.  John says he’s not leaving him.  Shaun is on the phone with the CDC, begging them to put more people on analyzing the sample they sent them; he says Arianna has developed antibodies, which no one else has.  They think they can use that to come up with a vaccine for the rest of the patients by testing her blood.  Gabi comes into see JJ, also in a hospital bed; she tells him Arianna is better… then tells him how much he means to her.  Ciara takes Thomas out to the park; asks him to go with.  He snaps no.

Hope and Rafe talk now – she tells him she still doesn’t know how she feels about Aiden; finding out he wasn’t the one who tried to kill her, she realizes that he was a victim too.  Rafe asks if she is confused about  how she feels about him now then; he asks how about him - hope hesitates to answer.  She tells Rafe she feels lost, completely discombobulated… everything has gotten turned upside down.  It seems so long ago, but she did fall in love with Aiden and that was huge for her.  Rafe understands… he tells her to just forget about how she feels about him, it’s ok, she doesn’t have to tell him right now.  She kisses him.  Aiden is released because of the DNA evidence…he goes to visit Andre in jail.  He demands to know why they kept him alive those six months.  

Kayla gets another call from Steve; he’s flying out to L.A. to try to find Joey, but doesn’t want to leave until he knows she’s ok.  At the commune, Joey already seems jealous of another guy Jade knows there.  Jade tells him to relax; she was just testing him. He passed.  Andre tells Aiden, when Hope died his duplicate was going to collect the insurance money – and they needed a contingency plan (but that’s all mute now, since Bo killed their man).  Andre then tells Aiden that Hope killed Stefano and framed him for the murder; he intends to prove it too.  He tells Aiden he needs a good attorney and wants him to take his case.  He tells Andre he has a better chance of being canonized and leaves.  The CDC isolated the virus… it ravaged a small province in China back during the cultural revolution – it burned itself out, but this one is a mutation.  They already have an anti-viral to beat it, manufactured a serum by analyzing Arianna’s blood.  But it’s going to come slowly, as they continue making it… a few doses will be on the way in an hour or two, more every hour after that.  JJ overhears that he gets the third dose.  He insists they give it to Gabi, because she needs to go home with her daughter.  

Aiden finds Ciara in the park with the baby; he tells her it wasn’t him who tried to kill Hope.  Ciara really doesn’t believe him (and then brings up what Chase did to her).  Aiden tells her he can’t believe that.  She insists that it’s true, and leaves.  Joey and Jade get sent to get food, Joey is told to drive and handed the keys.  Chad must be dreaming… Abby just walked in the door, saying “I’m home.”  The baby begins to cry and Abby goes to get him; the baby cries louder and Ciara walks in with the stroller.  She tells him she saw Aiden.   Rafe now talks to Aiden in the park – Aiden mentions that Stefano had done that to him once, too; created a look-a-like and took a chunk of his life away.  Rafe concedes.  But, he tells Aiden, you can’t just walk in and expect things to be to the way they were.  He tells him he needs to give Hope time; this is her decision.  Steve looks up an old friend in L.A., a private eye… he tells him his son is missing

Now, in the holding cell, Aiden waits for results of a DNA test; they are positive… he is in fact Chase’s father (not the man that actually tried to kill Hope).  Ciara talks to Chad about her mother wanting her to see a therapist – says she doesn’t see the good in reliving it all.  Chad tells her that he saw Marlena for some time and it helped him; he trusts her.    Chad looks at photos – he’s putting together a photo album for Abby; Ciara arrives, apologizing for being late.  He says it’s fine, Thomas has been sleeping.  

Abby’s therapist talks with her about the visit; she asks why she told them to go home.  She says she doesn’t want to hurt him anymore; the therapist asks why she thinks she’s hurting him.  Abby says she can tell… he thinks it’s humiliating to see her this way.  She asks if she were physically ill, would she not let him see her; Abby is unsure how to respond.  Abby then begins to cry and says everytime she reached out to Thomas he just screamed his head off and cried and cried – she thinks she’s a bad mother.  She says she can’t do this, because she can’t even comfort her own baby.  The therapist assures her that she’s not a bad mother… just a woman going through a very bad time.  She hands her a baby toy; Abby responds with a smile, saying this is Thomas’ and talks about how much he loves it.  The therapist asks why she through it away then; Abby swears she didn’t.  How could she throw that away and not remember?  

Rafe and John talk, at the station; John asks Rafe if he has heard anything from Hope.  He says no.  And the hospital switchboard is so busy, he can’t get ahold of anybody to figure out how Gabi and Ari are doing.  Rafe tells John the CDC told him no one else in the country is experiencing an outbreak like this.  The DNA results come in; Rafe tells John that the guy Bo killed was not Aiden, and the man in the holding cell apparently is.  His DNA is a match for Chase.

Thursday 05-12-2016

Claire and Ciara told Steve that Joey and Jade were planning on running away; Gabriella is burning up with the fever.  Kayla and the hospital staff are trying everything they can think of to figure out what this virus is… nobody knows what is going on.  Adrianna prays for her daughter and granddaughter to get better.  Rafe and John don’t believe that the man in jail can possibly be Aiden; Hope talks to the alleged Aiden again, asking him why his fingerprints are gone from the file.  He swears it was  Stefano and Andre – they must have taken them out somehow - they kidnapped him and switched him out for a double on their wedding night.  He confesses to Hope that the Dimiras were trying to blackmail him into killing her, but he swears he was never going to do it.  He admits, though, that he was working for Stefano the whole time they were together.  

Kayla begins to come down with the fever, despite the fact that the entire hospital staff is wearing contamination suits; Steve calls to tell Kayla that he talked to Jade’s mother.  Says all he found out was that she is a pain and she’s in big trouble – they don’t know where she is.  Steve is concerned that Kayla doesn’t sound good; she says she’s fine and tells him not to worry.  Jade and Joey make their way to California and arrive at her aunt’s commune in Los Angeles.  Summer is moving in with Maggie and Victor; she tells Maggie her concerns about the fact that Victor doesn’t like her.  Maggie assures he will leave her alone because he knows it is important to her.  She tells Summer she is glad she’s here and it will get easier – this is a chance for them to get to know each other and that means a lot to Maggie.  Chad and Thomas visit Abby; she is a little upset that he brought the baby and gets even more upset when Chad tells her that her mother is coming to visit later.  Abby says she does not want anyone to see her like this.

Gabi becomes delirious; starts talking nonsense, about her childhood.  Code blue in cubicle 5; Rafe waits outside of the interrogation room, while Hope goes in to question him.  He tries to swear that he is not an imposter; but his fingerprints are missing from the file.  He tells her Andre and Stefano were trying to force him to kill her, and he backed out – but admits that he was working for Stefano the entire time they were together.  He was brought to Salem specifically to seduce her; to make her forget about Bo.  Once that was done, he was ordered to strangle her; he tells her he was taken in a parking lot and stuffed into a trunk… but wasn’t he taken from the house on their wedding night?

The hospital staff is dawning protective suits now; John talks Kayla into letting him have one so he can stay.  JJ sneaks in to Gabi’s room; she is afraid he is going to get sick and he tells her since they have already kissed, he is either going to get sick real soon anyway, or he is going to be ok… so he’s staying.  Theo and Ciara admit their feelings for each other – Theo tells her she is the best thing that ever happened to him and they kiss very intimately.  Hope is starting to think maybe this really is Aiden as he reminisces about their first date, little details, only he would know.  Said his favorite memory was when they celebrated their first anniversary; he told her what she said to him that morning over breakfast.  He tells her he was beaten and psychologically tortured – and that the worst part of it was not knowing whether she was alive or dead.  Hope begins to cry.  Hope tells Aiden, whether it is him or not, she wants nothing more to do with him and walks out.  

Paul deduces that it started with him; he tells John he hasn’t felt right ever since he was strapped to that chair and injected with whatever it was by those mad-men.  John reports this to the doctors.  Theo comes over to visit Ciara; she tells him the good news about moving into the guesthouse.  She is considering not going to graduation because of everything that happened at prom… but she tells Theo that dancing with him was the highlight of her night.  He asks her to dance again, and says they don’t even need music; she tells him she does – she invites him up to her room to listen to a playlist.  Hope tells Rafe that Andre called her last night, from a cell phone.  Rafe takes Hope home to rest.  John calls Eduardo to tell him about the outbreak and that it was probably the doing of Yo Ling (that crazy man who claimed to be John’s dad).  Paul tells his dad how much he means to him, that he is grateful he got to know him and that he loves him.  Hope asks Rafe to stay the night with her; Theo and Ciara are cuddling on the bed as they listen to music.  

Rafe gets a text about Gabi and Arianna; he promises Hope he’ll come back.  He is stopped at the hospital entrance; he goes through a security entrance to see what is going on.  After Theo leaves, Hope tells Ciara about Aiden’s reappearance; Ciara fears he will get Chase out.  Hope promises her she will take care of everything.  JJ starts feeling warm; the photographer from the shoot dies.  The doctors discuss the patients’ odds; John becomes extremely overheated.

Tuesday 05-10-2016

John and Marlena talk at the hospital; Paul’s fever is spiking; he has muscle spasms and confusion.  John says he couldn’t even get his head off the pillow.  Dario comes in as Rafe is cleaning up the dishes; he asks who the lucky woman was… Hope is ready to head into the station; Ciara notices that she doesn’t look like she’s doing very well.  Caroline tells Kayla she wants to know what’s wrong – she tells her about the incident at the prom (apparently the kids thought that it was Mark’s car, not his dad’s).  Kayla admits that she and Steve are not doing very well.  Fynn invites himself to sit down for dinner with Kayla.  

Ciara does tell her mom that it was her big, stupid idea to trash Mark’s car and now it’s hanging over everyone’s head; then tells her that Abe (Theo’s dad) doesn’t want Theo hanging out with her because he thinks she’s a bad influence.  She tells Hope she is going to deal with it and wants her to stay out of it.  More people pour into the hospital feeling sick, fever, muscle spasms; the doctor asks Gabi questions about her activities that day.  She reveals that she was at a photo shoot, with Paul Norita (who is also there with a fever and spasms.  What could be causing this sickness?  

Theo has a discussion with his father, standing up to him about his feelings for Ciara and his right to have them; he tells his father that he is hurting him.  He proves to his father than he is now a grown man, capable of taking care of himself.  His dad concedes.  Steve comes looking for Joey; she told him the last she saw him was this afternoon when they were hanging out after getting out of jail.  He questions Claire; she tells him Joey was talking about running away with Jade, but they don’t think he was serious.  Hope insists on being the one to question Aiden… alone.  The doctor’s cannot figure out what this virus is; the bloodwork shows nothing familiar.  Claire leaves and Theo shows up at Ciara’s house; Ciara has the cutest smile on her face when she sees him.  I don’t know why she is so hesitant to admit that she loves him too. He finally gets her to say she probably does love him – and then she kisses him, big time.

Monday 05-09-2016

Two hours after Rafe takes Hope home, she sees Aiden in the living room; she recalls the wedding night six months ago… how could he possibly be there now?  Ah – maybe he was never really killed!  As Aiden tries to leave Hopes house that night, there is a look-alike standing outside the front door (Andre sneaks up behind Aiden and injects him with something; he passes out and they carry him off).  The look-alike goes upstairs and attempts to kill Hope.  Andre puts the real Aiden in his trunk, gagged and tied.  K- it’s says six months ago now… Aiden (or so it appears) is in a cage-cell, screaming that he will bury Stefano.  Gas, of some type, begins pouring into the room and fills the cell; the man passes out.  He wakes up, the cell is clear and there is a dinner plate on the floor.  

He’s not sure he should eat it; tells Andre he’s on a hunger strike.  He searches the cell for any weak spots; sees a dead bird on the floor.  Gas pours in again.  He wakes up again (this is a weird episode).  He decides to eat the food to keep his strength up.  A video tape plays of Hope being strangled.  Now, it says two months ago; with a full beard, Aiden talks to the dead bird who he has laying in a make-shift nest.  He says he has written down every single thing he has eaten in the past 121 days since he’s been there.  He says he has a reason.  Now, it says three weeks ago… Aiden tells the little bird that he has a plan; he’s been practicing holing his breath and the next time the gas came on, he pretended to be passed out – a man brought in his dinner and Aiden jumped him and got away, grabbing his little dead bird before running out.  He washes his face and shaves in a public restroom, talking to himself in the mirror, he says he has to find out the truth, tells his little bird goodbye, laying it on a ‘perch’ and hitchhikes, catching a ride on Oklahoma Highway 69 North.

 

So Hope is back home from her evening with Rafe, and Aiden calls out to her, trying to explain.  Hope calls 911 for help and grabs her gun; she’s ready to kill him.  He begs her to believe him, when he says “they did this to us.”  She tells him to turn around and put his hands behind his back and cuffs him.  Assistance comes, she tells him he is under arrest and they take him away.  The second they walk out the door, she breaks down crying.

Friday 05-06-2016

Hope finds a note on her coffee table telling her to check the closet; in there, she finds a rose and a note that says “trade your gun for a night of romance” and she then she finds a present box with a necklace in it.  Rafe is cooking dinner, and asks his mom if she could go somewhere for the evening.  JJ wonders if he is good enough for Gabi.  Brady comes home to Teresa with a box of chocolates and tells her he doesn’t want to fight anymore.  But he questions why her car is in a different spot; she says she went out to get diapers for Tate.  They begin discussing wedding plans and she asks him not to invite Summer; the conversation gets heated, and she slips up, telling Brady she went and saw Summer earlier.  

Summer tells Dario he has to help her; he asks what happened.  She swears it was an accident.  She admits that this guy tracked her down and blackmailed her into pulling one more con; she told Brady she was in debt to him for fifty grand and he paid it…they split it.  She says she has bills to pay; she then explained why she pushed him.  She says she didn’t call Brady or the police because if they pulled up his record they would find out that Dario and he worked together and Rafe would start questioning him.  Gabi apologizes again to JJ for the family drama; she says Dario has been so different since he’s been gone.  Dario wraps the dead man up in a bed sheet and helps Summer load him up in a laundry cart and that’s how they move the body.  

Teresa and Brady are fighting again; he tells her she is not evil but she is being unfair.  He says he is going to fix this.  Hope arrives at Rafe’s house just as he  lights the candles; they kiss.  Someone walks into Hope's house.  Just after Dario exits the room, Brady shows back up.  Rafe and Hope finish dinner and enjoy drinks in the back yard; she asks him what else he had in mind.  She cleverly leaves notes asking him to show her his bedroom.  Brady is still talking to Summer when Dario pops back in, saying, “all done.”  Brady questions what is done.  They play it off like he’s just helping her move boxes to the condo; then pretend to be kind of ‘together’.  Brady gets embarrassed and excuses himself and leaves.  At the hospital, Gabi is told that Arianna may have the flu – they want to admit her.  JJ tells Gabi that Paul was also just admitted with a high fever.  Hope and Rafe’s close encounter gets interrupted by a page; Rafe has to get to the station.  Hope kisses him goodbye and says they need to do it again soon.  As she meanders around her house with a sill grin on her face, she gets a text from Ciara and then finds Aiden standing in her living room?  He’s smiling.  Wow.

Thursday 05-05-2016

John and Paul tell Marlena about their planned trip.  She doesn’t look impressed – John asks her what’s wrong.  Marlena tells John that Eric asked about Sammi and said she wished she knew how he could get in touch with her.  Rafe asks his brother, Dario, to come into the station – he shows him a flyer, requesting volunteers to mentor at-risk kids; Rafe thinks they could do this together.  He tells his brother he knows he’s just trying to give him some direction in life, but he’s not the one he needs to worry about.  He is concerned about his mother, because of Eduardo.  Dario tells Rafe he doesn’t want to be the one picking up the pieces when he leaves her again. 

Eduardo shows up at Adriana’s house; he convinces her that he truly loved her, and hated walking away, reminiscing about their days together.  She agrees to let him in to cook for her.  While cutting an onion, together, they share a somewhat intimate moment.  Summer confesses to Brady that she had been working with a con man; she takes him to meet this man…. Apparently she had conned him out of $50,000 (so he was blackmailing her).  Brady pays him, then threatens him if he ever comes near Summer again or tries to get more money.  Summer tells Brady she doesn’t want him to be mad at her – he says he isn’t sure how to feel.  He asks if Daniel knew; she says he knew everything.  She explains she isn’t proud of the things she’s done, but it was what she had to do to survive.  He leaves.

Paul excuses himself for a moment.  While drinking his coffee, Paul’s hand begins to tremble uncontrollably.  No one else is there to see; he looks around.  Gabby stops by to pick up Arianna… she tells her parents she’s going to meet JJ for lunch.  They tell her to stay and invite him to come have lunch with them.  Rafe and Dario come by to talk to their mother and are surprised to see their father there.  Brady now has to go home and tell Teresa that she was right about Summer – he’s not happy about that, for sure.  Teresa is not happy when he tells her he gave Summer the money to pay the man off.  He tells her not to worry about it; she tells him she thinks he should have ‘checked’ with her first.  They get into a fight, Brady saying that she, of all people, should know about giving people second chances.  He leaves and she chases after him, simply hollering at the nanny as she goes.

Eduardo’s family is laughing and seeming to have a nice time.  Then Dario throws out a snide comment toward Eduardo.  Brady sees John and Marlena at their table and stops to say hi; they invite him to stay, but he says he can’t (taking care of a problem with DJ Wear).  Instead of following Brady, Teresa goes to Summer’s hotel room and tells her she better not hear that she’s gotten one more nickel out of Brady or she’s going to the cops.  The conman comes back by ‘Summer’s’ hotel room, and offers her half of the money – he calls it “a great con”.  She takes the envelope, but them tells him this WAS a one-time thing.  He calls her Cindy.  Casual conversation continues between Eduardo and JJ; then Dario loses it.  Mom asks him to calm down, and Rafe asks him to just accept that Eduardo is back and try to make it work.  JJ excuses himself.  Gabby gets up and leaves as well.  Fun, fun.  Dario storms out.  Rafe whispers in his mother’s ear before he leaves.  He tells her if she is happy, he can be happy.

John calls Teresa and tells her he just saw Brady; she asks if they can talk in person – and asks him not to tell Brady.  Summer (Cindy) says the past is dead and tells the man to leave; he forces a kiss on her.  She pushes him away, so hard he falls backward, and somehow hits his head (forehead) and starts convulsing.  Eduardo leaves, getting a kiss on the cheek.  Marlena notices that Paul has not ‘been himself’ since he sat back down; Paul tries to stand up from the table and almost knocks it over.  John decides to take him to the ER.  Summer calls Dario to help her decide what to do with the man, who is now dead, in her room.

Shaun and Kayla talk about cutting back pain medication on a patient who seems to think he is ready to be released.  Steve comes into the hospital angry that Kayla didn’t tell him Joey had been arrested; he can’t believe that she thinks what’s best for Joey is for him to stay away.  Joey and Jade talk about their plans to still move to Los Angeles.  Rafe asks Hope if she wants to have lunch in the square; she calls to check on Ciara first… Ciara refuses her call.  She’s babysitting and talks to Thomas about how annoying moms can be; she tells him the hospital is going to make his mom (Abby) better and she will be home soon (adding, “I hope.”)  Chad calls to check on Abby and the doctor tells him that her recovery is going to take some time; they cannot put a time limit on it.  Abby is in bed, talking with the therapist; she mentions Ben, and Abby asks if the door is locked.  When the therapist presses her for information, Abby insists she just doesn’t remember anything.  

Chad comes home; apparently Ciara has been talking about dropping out of school – he tells her, no matter how good she is with Thomas, he will not keep her around if she leaves school.  She promises to stay in school.  Hope tells her dad about the kids’ antics and upcoming court hearing; he tells her it’s ok to be unpopular with her for a while… she’ll come around and say thanks one day.  Ciara meets with Claire in the park and suggests getting a place together; she says when school is out she’s going to work for Chad full-time (if she can) and she figures Claire will be getting a record contract.  Joey and Jade show up; they all talk about spray-painting the judge’s car – and how they are (or aren’t) sorry about it.  Jade blurts out that Joey killed Ava; the girls look surprised.  Joey tells Claire and Ciara that he and Jade are leaving town; they hug him and tell them to stay in touch.  Joey sees his mom in the square and asks her if she is okay…she says she just had a tough night.  He apologizes to her for what he’s done and tells her how much he appreciates what she’s done for him; he says he’ll never forget that and hugs her goodbye, telling her he’s heading home.  

Abby tells her therapist that Ben was in her room last night and told her that this used to be his hospital.  He sat down on her bed, with a neck-tie, she said, and he put it on her neck and she couldn’t breathe – she knows he was going to kill her.  Chad walks in on Ciara telling Hope that she wants to move out… he tells Hope he could use some full-time help and has a guest-house on the property that he would be happy to rent out to Ciara; Ciara asks if Claire can share it with her.  She runs out to call Claire.  Hope tells Chad she knows he a good man, or a girl like Abigail would have never fallen in love with him.  Joey goes to see Steve; he tells his dad he can’t stop seeing Ava, and this guy (who is him) pushing down the pillow, her fighting back, and then she just stops… Steve suggests he see a therapist.  Joey says he should have told the truth; he thinks that would have been better than who he is now.  He tells his father he is sorry, then asks for an asprin and stuffs his dad’s leather jacket in his backpack.  Steve comes back in a tells him his mom is worried about him and Jade; Joey claims he is starting to think that’s not going anyway, then hugs his dad and tells him he loves him and leaves.

Hope tells Rafe she has taken his advice and is ‘taking a step back’, letting Ciara move out.  Ciara comes home to find Theo waiting for her – she says his dad is going to be mad; he tells her he doesn’t care… he is not going to let his dad stop him from being with – he tells her he loves her, always has.  Joey meets up with Ciara on his motorcycle and they hit the road.  Chad goes to visit Abby; he tells her he hopes she can come home soon.  She looks over Chad’s shoulder and sees Ben sitting in the other room – she said he’s not going to let her come home.

Teresa strolls through the square, pissed off at Brady, pushing the stroller with the baby – she says he woke up in the hospital with Daniel’s heart and had a hero complex.  She accuses him of being obsessed with Summer and she’s on the bottom of the list of the women who matter.  Brady tells her she sounds like her mom.  Meanwhile, Summer gets an unexpected visit from another man from her past.  Kate finds out about Nicole’s resemblance to Helena and isn’t happy about it.  Victor and Maggie get released from the hospital and move into their “suburban townhouse”.  Maggie wants to invite Summer to move in with her and Victor.  She hopes Summer will believe that she regrets giving her up as a baby… Maggie asks Victor to just pretend everything she wants is alright with him and asks him to keep his big mouth shut.  He says he is interested in knowing Summer better (and learning her thoughts about Aristotle’s theories of virtue).  

Maggie asks Victor who was on the phone; he admits it was Justin wondering how they are adjusting to their “reduced circumstances”.  She tells him to quit lying to her and demands to know if it was about Deimos.  Nicole is at Deimos’ when Kate comes in; Kate asks if he is intending for her to take over Basic Black… but she reminds him that Nicole has her own company to run.  Deimos suggests he buy “DJ Wear” and roll it into Titan (then they will all be one ‘big happy family’ as Deimos put it). That’s funny.  Abby wakes up in the hospital and thinks she sees Ben standing at the foot of her bed… he is dressed in a hospital uniform, just staring at her.  

Monday 05-02-2016

As Nicole sleeps, she dreams of being with Deimos – in a sexy negligee, with her hair up in curls, they kiss – then he says, “tell me what it is you think your’e gonna get from me.”  She wakes up with a start, and finds that same sexy negligee lying on her floor, next to the bed.  She realizes she is late for a meeting with Teresa and Brady.  Brady is asleep on the couch; Terersa wakes him.  He said he couldn’t fall asleep in bed because he is worried about Victor.  

Victor has a conversation with Justin on the phone – admitting he has bank accounts Deimos doesn’t know about – and the lease on a condominium is almost finalized.  He says, “it’s not a mansion but it’ll do”… Victor tells Justin to make sure Deimos still thinks he is in charge.  Justin comes to visit Deimos and finds a new butler; Deimos says the old staff all quit (or he might have fired them).  He doesn’t remember.  Justin tells Deimos he is there to make a deal with him.  Ciara, Claire, Joey and Jade are arrested and spend a night in jail for vandalizing the judge’s car (in retaliation for the insults toward Theo and Ciara at the prom).

Week of 04-25/29-2016

(Monday) Theo continues to hit Mark again and again (for forcing a kiss on Ciara) and has to be pulled off.  Man, that kid would be hurt.  Theo’s tough!  Marlena talks to Belle about wanting to see Erik; Belle tells her she can take her in with her, since she is his attorney and can see him anytime she wants.  She says it’s odd to have Belle fixing things for her, as she is normally fixing things for her – then asks what’s the matter.  Theo’s dad speaks to Lani about prom; he doesn’t want Theo to be disappointed, if Ciara doesn’t see him the way he hopes she does – she says he has to let Theo figure this out for himself.  He calls Theo and leaves a message for him to meet him at the pub when they are done decorating.  Theo and Ciara talk; he says Mark was an “ass” and Ciara laughs, saying she’s never heard him talk that way.  He then offers to walk her home, but she says she has plans with Claire to do something; he asks if they are still on for prom.  Ciara says yes… she can’t wait.

(Tuesday) Rafe brings in microwave popcorn, diet soda and says for 80’s ambiance they need to fire up the VCR; Hope says that sounds great.  They find a CD to watch instead though, and share a laugh – commenting that it is good to laugh again.  Jade texts Joey “can’t stop thinking about u…”; he says the same… she says she’s picturing him naked; he responds SAME.  Chad comes home (now Jennifer and JJ are sitting with him); they ask how Abigail is.  Abby is in her hospital bed, terrified; someone is making moaning and groaning sounds – she covers her ears and tries to sleep.

(Wednesday) Everyone is at prom; Ciara thanks the DJ for the opportunity – he tells her thanks, because he’ll make millions when the hit goes viral.  Theo and Ciara dance; she tells him thank you for what he did earlier and he tells her he would do anything for her.  Mark stands in the corner, drinking from a liquor bottle.  Theo and Ciara are voted king and queen at the prom; but something went wrong – technical difficulties with the video (but was it really sabatoge?)  A picture of Chase and Ciara comes up on the screen instead… Ciara is mortified and horrified.  It’s suspected Mark has something to do with the ‘glitch’; he had the access and the know-how.  

Summer comes to visit Maggie.  The nurse is rubbing her legs, stimulating them to increase blood flow; Summer asks if she could show her how to do it, so she could help Maggie as well.  Kate sells Basic Black to Deimos (or, rather, Titan Industries) and he makes her CEO.  Nicole tells Victor she has decided that she will help him take Deimos on a one-way trip to hell… she decided after visiting him, saying he is an interesting guy, cagey crafty, vicious and proud of what he did to Maggie.  But what sold it was the story of Helena; if she becomes her ghost, Nicole thinks she can bury Deimos.  Victor smirks, slightly, that they are “jumping into bed again”; she says no, they are going to talk terms.  Rafe and Hope kiss on the couch, forgetting about the movie; they decide they want to make love and move toward the bedroom. 

(Thursday) Philip walks in to see Victor… Victor says he forgives him and welcomes him back to the family, they shake hands and all the machines start beeping erratically; Philip wakes up, to his father’s machines beeping.  The nurse tells him to leave.  During the prom, someone painted an obscene word on Mark’s dad’s car.  Theo is trying to explain what happened, saying it was all a result of what that guy did to Ciara – Theo tells Mark to explain to his dad what he did (turns out Mark is the judge’s son, no less).  So the judge believes him when he says he doesn’t know what Theo is talking about; then makes an ugly remark about how half the kids in school “can’t figure this weirdo out”.  Theo’s dad takes offense to that remark, to which the judge agrees.  However, the judge says that the kids were found with spray paint matching the obscenities painted his car so someone needs to go to jail – Ciara comes in to say it’s her responsibility.  Then every one else steps up to say they all did it (Joey, Jade and Claire).  Belle tells the judge it is apparent that his son has something to do with what provoked this, but he blows her off.  The kids are all taken to jail.  

(Friday) Belle asks Philip to marry him and he is surprised… he turns her down; he then tells her that he wants to, but it has to be for the right reasons.  He fears she may change her mind in ‘the light of day’.  She swears he is wrong and leaves angry.  Nicole is on her computer, still investigating the woman of Deimos’ past whom she resembles when Dario sits down at her table. Nicole fills Dario in on what’s going on with Deimos and Victor – she says “the mark is already suspicious” but she thinks he may be able to help.  He warns her not to fall in love; she swears her hate for Deimos will never change.  Deimos sits by Victor’s hospital bed.  He grabs his nose and tells him he doesn’t need his forgiveness; Helena’s death is Victor’s fault, alone, he says.  He gloats about having all of Victor’s money and power, rendering him helpless and pathetic telling him it’s time for him to roll over and die.  Victor says never. When he leaves, Justin and Brady come to visit Victor… Justin may have a plan to get back at Deimos once and for all.  Victor makes it clear Maggie is to know nothing of it.

Hope talks with Theo’s dad; he is concerned about Theo’s special challenges – no big deal to Hope.  But he tells her Theo needs help figuring out how to navigate circumstances and he doesn’t think Theo should be involved with Ciara as much as he has been right now; Hope is shocked.  She argues but he won’t change his mind.  Hope waits for Ciara to get arraigned.  Shaun and Lani decide to take off together; no sense waiting around.  They have a stake-out to get to.  Kids probably won’t be arraigned until morning. Belle calls Philip for help, who is still concerned about his dad – no one will tell him anything yet.  Rafe tells Hope the kids are ok, tucked away in their cells; at least they are safe.  Joey and Jade hold hands through the cell bars – he thanks her for standing by them.  Ciara and Claire laugh about the situation they are in.
