Abby talks to one of the crew
watching the house, as a storm seems to be approaching; Chad is headed off to a
corporate meeting. Abby locks the door
behind him. Where did that guard
go? As Abby holds and sings to what is
obviously a doll, she hears noises and sees the door shaking. Abby nervously hums; JJ arrives. He goes to ‘check the house’ again. Abby puts the baby in his carrier and hears
more noise. She looks in the drawer at
a gun; closes the drawer. Picks up the
baby again (now it’s a real baby) and turns to go up the stares. She hears the door; a dark figure stands in
the doorway. It’s Chad. So the plan is to make Ben think Chad is
gone; Abby goes to put Thomas to bed (who appears to be a doll wrapped in a
blanket again. Of course, the power
goes out. She sits down to feed him
(real again) as the storm rages outside; a window pops open… as she stares at
it, the lightening reveals a man’s shadow outside the doorway behind her. Chad and JJ hear a noise; is it just the
storm? JJ goes to investigate.
As Abby
goes the lay the baby down, she sees the shadow. What it just a stuffed gorilla?
I don’t think so. The phone
rings; when Abby answers it, there is just heavy breathing. She hangs up; her mother calls back saying
she had just run up the stairs to close her bedroom window – had a bad
connection first call. Abby really
starts to get spooked when she calls for Chad and JJ and neither one answers;
she puts the baby back in his carseat.
She grabs the fire poker and runs into the other room; when she comes
back into the room with the baby, she sees Ben outside the French doors. She runs out of the doors swinging the poker
and screaming at Ben. She almost hits
JJ; she tells Chad she saw Ben out in the garden. JJ goes out to check. He
finds nothing. Abby swears she saw
him. JJ talks to Abby to remind her how
she used to keep him safe and calm; tells her she’s strong and she can do
this. JJ gets a call of a possible
sighting and goes to meet the team.
Alone in the house with Thomas, Abby sees a shadow cross the wall; she
gets the gun out of the drawer. Chad comes
in to see Abby holding the gun up; asks what she’s doing… takes the gun and
goes to look. Abby hears the baby
mobile. When she looks in the carseat,
Thomas is gone – Ben is standing there, holding the baby.

Summer allows Maggie to come in and talk; Maggie apologizes again. She asks Summer not to leave town – Summer
wants to know why she gave her up; Maggie takes her time explaining that she
was lied to (told that the baby was dead).
Nicole seems to be enjoying her conversation with Dario as they have
coffee together. Deimos looks at his
scar in the mirror; after a phone call he goes to see Victor. He tells Victor he wants to end the war
between them, supposedly, because of Kate.
Victor scoffs at the idea. Dario
asks Nicole if she ever considered getting away; she says she can’t because she
just started a new business (and she wants to stay in the same apartment
because of Parker). She contemplates
how unfair life is. Maggie tells Summer
that her father never even knew about her – he left before he knew she was
pregnant – and she never knew his last name.
Belle and Philip talk; she tells him about Brady’s upcoming party (to which Philip was not invited). Belle encourages Philip to crash the party. Victor tells Deimos he will have to ‘show’ him that he has changed; he asks what he has to do, and Victor tells him to leave town and never come back. Nicole asks Dario about his father. He tells her that he used to kill people for a living. Maggie tells Summer that her being there now is a gift, and she is thankful to Daniel for it. Summer describes her life to Maggie; some of it not so good. She explains that she was a troubled child; had a strained relationship with her parents at times. She also admits to Maggie that she had stolen things as an adult and has spent time in jail. Philip tells Belle he wants to start a new business, producing records for new artists who are getting hits on the internet; she tells him his first client should be Claire.
Dario wonders if everything happened because his father came back to town – Nicole asks if he doesn’t want to give him another chance. Dario says there’s no way in hell he’s getting another chance from him. Maggie and Summer have a nice talk; Maggie gets dizzy again when she gets up to leave. Summer gets her a glass of water. Maggie leaves her with a hug. Deimos tells Victor he wants an apology from him; Victor looks shocked. Belle and Philip seal their deal with a kiss. Deimos explains that he wants an apology for the thirty years he spent in prison for killing Helena, when Victor was the one who did it; Victor just stares at him. Maggie walks through the square, where Nicole and Dario are talking, and almost falls down. They insist on taking her home. Deimos is watching. Maggie is looking for Victor; he is
taking care of business. He runs into
Brady in the square; Brady tells him he has a big announcement to make
tonight. Victor hopes it doesn’t have
anything to do with Teresa. Rafe’s
mother (Adriana) is upset when she finds Eduardo at the hospital; he admits the
kidnapping was his fault. Eduardo tells
Adriana he owes her a debt of gratitude; she says she wants nothing from him,
and doesn’t know why the kids have anything to do with him. Victor goes home and tells Maggie about
Brady’s big announcement plans. She
tells him she has something to talk to him about too. Nicole is having trouble being happy for Teresa; but she assures
her that she is, and that they are friends.
Gabi made it clear that she wants her dad to stay; Rafe says he needs
time…he’s not sure what to say. Maggie
begins to talk to Victor; they get interrupted. It’s Brady. Maggie
apologizes for running out of the room last night; she tells Victor that Summer
is her daughter. She explains that she
had a baby when she was very young, but she had been told the baby was
stillborn; Brady explains to Victor how he found Summer. Victor says even if she is Maggie’s
biological daughter, she is probably after something.
Hope talks to Rafe about Ciara; she tells him she doesn’t know
what she would ever do without his friendship.
He assures her she doesn’t have to worry about that because he will
always be there; in walks his mother, and he introduces her to Hope. Maggie admits that she was feeling guilt and
shame…and feels even more so for the way she run out on Summer – abandoning
her, again. Maggie asks Victor for his
support, not suspicion. Maggie feels
faint when she stands up; she takes a pill.
Feeling better, she says she wants to go out for some air. Maggie talks to Julie in the square; she is
still confused about her feelings regarding Summer. She resolves Daniel brought her the daughter she never knew she
had, but doesn’t know how to accept her.
Julie tells her to listen to her heart; “it will never lead you astray”. Rafe’s mother begs him to make sure Eduardo
leaves town; she says he will never change.
Teresa is nervous about the big get together, for the announcement of
their engagement; Brady tells her she is going to win them all over – just like
she did him. Yuck. Maggie shows up at Summer’s hotel room door;
she tells her she’s sorry about last night and says they obviously need to
talk. I think there might be some
chemistry between Nicole and Dario (is that who Brady calls “Finn”?). Eduardo is planning to leave the hospital. Hope gets a call; Chase has been let out –
he runs into Ciara in the park. She
tells him to stay the hell away from her.

Chad and Abby appear to be
back from their honeymoon, and she is still obsessed with Ben coming to seek
revenge on them. JJ and Gabi talk; JJ
tells her he likes being her personal bodyguard… she is concerned for everyone’s
safety. Marlene, Rafe and his mother come
into the hospital. Rafe wants her to be
checked out. He tells Kayla that Steve
will have John and Paul there soon.
Paul is not in good shape. He
passes out, and when he comes to, he seems fine. They take him for tests; Gabi arrives at the hospital and is
greeted by her mother, as is Dario, who agrees that Eduardo needs to leave town
and never come back. Even though Kayla
told John he needed to be tested too, John and Marlena head home; he fills her
in on Yo Ling’s plans. Gabi goes to
visit Paul; he is acting strange after she leaves and as he falls asleep,
sounds and images from his brainwashing come to mind. Is it too late to save him?
Kayla is glad to see Steve, although she is still torn between loving
him and being unable to forgive him; he tells her he may not be able to beat
the murder charges and asks her to go on the run with him. Chad comes up with a plan to trap Ben.

Rafe and Steve may have found a clue about where John was taken; not far
from where they were – a basement, below the warehouse, apparently not
previously investigated. They find more
information about the Phantom Alliance; apparently no longer in existence. So they prepare for a ‘stealth rescue’. After John watches Paul get dragged away for
his ‘training’, John tries to free himself; he is determined to rescue his
son. They show Paul being strapped to a
chair in a room with a video continuously playing a brainwashing video to get
him to join Yo Ling’s cause, which is supposedly to ‘save the world’ by getting
rid of everyone he deems unfit.
When
Steve and Rafe get to the warehouse and get the camera’s disabled, they run
into Marlena, who followed them there.
John gets himself free from the pipe he has been chained to for the past
three episodes. Paul, meanwhile, is
still enduring the brainwashing videos and at this point, is completely under
the spell by all appearances. As John
makes his way down the hall, he finds a woman in one room, laying unconscious
and finds Paul in the next room. When
John gets Paul free from the chair, his father shows up with two more
guards. Steve, Rafe and Marlena find
them just in time and save them. Yo
Ling bites his ring and immediately falls to the ground. He is dead.
Rafe finds the unconscious woman and realizes that it is his long-lost
mother! After Eduardo tells all of his
secrets to Dario, Dario convinces him that it is dangerous to his loved ones
for him to be around; and he decides that he needs to leave Salem.

Hope is horrified at Ciara drinking and dancing on top of the bar.
Steve comes home to find Roman there; Joey tells him it’s too late, he’s
told him everything. Hope shuts off the
music and tells everybody the party is over; go home. She says she wants to speak to Ciara alone. Roman says he has no intention of arresting
Joey for Ava’s murder. Tells Joey this
began with his dad, years ago… it will end with him. Belle walks in on Marlena, crying and asks what’s wrong. Ciara tells Hope she feels sick – not from
drinking, just has, ever since. She
says she’s trying to pretend it didn’t happen; Hope tells her she can’t
pretend, she needs to get professional help.
Marlena tells Belle she and Arianna were kidnapped, and that John was
taken; says she is going to get him back.
Roman tells Joey if he confesses to anybody else, his dad could face perjury charges too – Joey gets mad and runs out. Steve runs after him and tells him he brought Ava into their lives; it’s only right this is on him. Ciara asks Hope when they can go home, home; says staying at Jennifer’s is just making her sick, every time she walks in the door. Ciara says she wishes she could have killed Chase… wishes she was brave enough. Hope tells her to stop talking like that; she doesn’t want to have that on her conscience forever. Ciara asks her mom if she has ever done that; Hope has flashbacks of shooting Stefano. Will she tell Ciara?

bail has been revoked - as Joey screams, "NO...." he wakes up - it
was just a dream. Ciara sends Theo a special invitation to her birthday
party; Claire tells her just to remember to breathe. Ok, Paul... Norita
(John's son, the baseball player), I forgot. He is now chained to the
pipe across the room from John. John tells him about his father's crazy plan.
Joey calls Roman and asks if they can talk. Kayla runs into him and asks
who he was talking to. John's father says, "gentlemen, it's
time"; and two men begin to walk toward John and Paul. Claire sings a special song for Ciara at her
party; it gets to Ciara and she runs out of the club. Theo follows her, and she grabs him and kisses him. He is dumbfounded – she turns around and
says it’s time to kick the party into high gear.
John begs his dad to let Paul go; Paul asks John’s dad what he wants with them – he answers, your strength, your longevity, your commitment. John begs him not to do this to his son. Ok, I guess that bartender is Rafe's brother? Dario? Mario? He was just talking to Rafe sarcastically about how great it would be to see "the old man". Rafe tells him he’s probably unconscious. Teresa wakes up thinking the whole thing was a dream… haha, I’m thinking, how funny would it have been if it had been!? He gets up to go get food and promises he won’t take very long. Claire is singing in her mom’s club Edge of the Square; she does have a beautiful voice, that girl. Almost haunting. Maggie tells Deimos she doesn’t have time – Deimos claims he is there to end his feud with Victor once and for all. He shows her the scar that Victor left on his chest, still bloody. Chad and Abby reach their honeymoon hideaway; he carries her over the threshold of the bedroom door. He tells her he will take her on a real honeymoon one day. Summer decides to tell Maggie the truth. Maggie is not sure how to take it. She kinda freaks out and leaves the room. Belle runs into Philip (literally) in the square. Claire doesn’t look happy, sitting at the bar after her performance. That’s not quite the stage she dreamt of singing on. Maggie looks through an old photo album; she's crying. Summer talks to herself, panicking now; Shaun and Lani get to know each other better. Belle kisses Philip. Abby and Chad put the baby to sleep and get ready for their wedding night; Abby tells Chad how much it means to her to have him. She goes to change and finds her nightgown cut to shreds.

Summer bursts in on Brady’s romantic
moment with Teresa. Teresa offers to
tell Maggie that Summer is her daughter.
Nicole comes to see Maggie; tells her she’s the only one who
understands. She said, she thought it
was supposed to get easier, but it’s just getting harder… The rest of the world
just goes on and everyone expects you to, too.
Maggie tells her the only thing stronger than grief, is love. She reminds her that Daniel was not the only
one who loved her. Kate shows up at
Deimos’ door; she asks him if he would give up his vendetta against Victor. Rafe assures Marlena they are using every
resource to find John; Hope assures her they will get him back. Nicole confides in Maggie that she doesn’t
trust Summer. Brady sends Summer back
to her room; says he’ll call her later to figure out her next move. Now Teresa is mad again. Brady consoles her again; is about to give her
the ring, and the baby starts crying.
Deimos tells Kate that he has decided he doesn’t want to spend the rest
of his life in a futile quest for revenge; he wants to spend it with her
instead – she questions his sincerity – but kisses him anyway; but then tells
him she has to go woo a supplier.
Rafe tries to send Marlena home. They are told they have a lead. Maggie asks Nicole if she thinks Summer is dangerous. Marlena insists on going with them to find John; John tells his dad how disappointed he is in him, and that he wishes he had died on the battlefield. His dad tells him that he loves him – and it hurts him that he may lose his life in the effort they are about to engage in. I have no idea what’s really going on here. His dad tells him they start in the morning; to get some rest. Summer’s friend (the bartender) shows up at her hotel door; he doesn’t seem so friendly. Deimos calls somebody to see if the medication is ready; orders them to deliver it ASAP. Jennifer tries to console
Abby, who insists she saw Ben outside the window… the police have been
called. No sign of an intrusion. It could just be Abby ‘jumping at shadows’;
Chad says maybe there’s a way they can calm her down. When they go in, JJ tells Abby there was a call in about Ben; he
was sighted in Louisiana. They decide
to proceed with the wedding. Starting
over, JJ agrees to walk Abby down the isle.
Brady asks Maggie to give Summer another chance – she insists on knowing
why it is so important to him; he makes all kinds of excuses. She says she’ll keep her mind. The minister starts to speak, Adrienne reads
that poem, Julie reads a passage from Abby’s father’s book (about family);
everyone is touched. Summer runs into Maggie
at the hospital and asks, herself, for a ‘do-over’; Maggie agrees. They seem to be getting along, until Summer
reveals that she knows details of Maggie’s personal life; Maggie wants to know
why.

Ok, sorry everybody… busy with school – and NBC.com
sucks! Always buffering, and constantly
freezing up; having to restart, wait for commercials… makes it really hard to
get these episodes watched. Why aren’t
they on Hulu???
Anyway, I think this character (Johns ‘dad) is actually the same actor in aged make-up; he looks just like him. He tells John how he escaped into China – thought dead – and became a phantom. Said he created an international organization of spies, the Phantom Alliance. Kayla and Steve talk with Joey about what they found in that room of Ava’s; he wants to confess to killing her. Eduardo is brought into the hospital – Marlena asks where John is. John’s dad goes on to tell him how he found him, after his mother had abandoned him, but was too late – he had been adopted by a wealthy family.
So, he made them an offer to place the boy in this prestigious academy; they couldn’t resist. He told how ‘Petroff’ had betrayed him and delivered John to Steffano Dimiera. When John asks why he brought him back, he tells him he is sick; he has the same disease that Carol Brady had. He sought the formula, etc. Wants to be remembered for ‘thinking outside the box’…not ready to die yet. He tells him he also has a blood disease, which might kill him first; he needs his – “fresh, healthy, compatible blood”. Steve says he is going after John, regardless of the fact that he is out on bail.
Belle tells Steve she will deliver the new information to Justin and talk to him about the charges; he says Steve will still stand trial. Joey tells his new (girl) friend that he killed Ava, and he needs to do what is right. Gabbi is happy to see JJ. Looks like Eduardo is going to live; Gabbi and Ari come in to say thank you.

Jennifer, Adrienne and Julie
(?) arrive to help Abby prepare for the wedding; the room is decorated, chairs

Ben leaving the cabin with Thomas, she and Chad prisoners, their bed
ablaze. Chad walks in and hugs her,
noticing she is upset. He offers to
postpone the wedding; but even though she was the one wanting to leave just the
other day, now she says no one is going to take this from them. John and Eduardo drink the suspicious liquid
in the thermos and a door opens, showing Marlena, holding Arianna in her
arms. John tells Marlena to run – she
hesitates – he tells her to get out of there.
She does. Gunfire erupts. Theo asks Ciara to tell him what she did to
Chase; she tells him ‘nothing’ really; Hope discusses the charges with Justin
(the D.A.)… he tells her Ciara will be put on trial. Julie gives Abby her ‘something old’, a poem written by Abby’s
grandpa; ‘something borrowed’ comes from Adrienne, a necklace, with a picture
of Abby’s dad in it. Mom (Jennifer)
gives her a new penny, for luck, and a preserved batch of violets Abby picked
as a young girl, as her ‘something blue’.
Chad finds Gabbi at the police department; a team is now at the
warehouse.
John shoots one of the gunman who falls from the rafters – Eduardo jumps in front of a bullet meant for Rafe. John disappears. Rafe tells Eduardo that Marlena and Arianna made it to the hospital; they are safe… he then calls Gabbi. Chad asks Theo to stand in as his best man – Theo agrees, as long as Ciara comes. Eric shows up for the wedding. Philip stands up to confront
his attacker; tells Belle to go home. Gabby tells Hope that
Marlena and Arianna are missing; Hope calls Rafe. Rafe is busy talking with John and Eduardo; John tells him that
he was part of the same agency his father was. Ciara is shocked to see Chase; unsure what she wants to do – she talks
to him, about when they were ‘little’ (proud of her new brother). How many years was Hope with his dad?? I didn’t think it had been but one or
two. Now she says she wishes she had
never met him. Holding a piece of
rebar, she tells him he ruined everything – that was her first time. He says he’s sorry. She tells him he’s a monster, just like his
dad; tells him to just shut up. She
calls her mom; tells him he will never get to hurt someone this way again.
The man grabs Philip by the collar, and begins to threaten him; this has something to do with the girl that died in his motel room. Deimos comes around the corner, videotaping, asking if Philip is under arrest (apparently this is a cop, Commander Chilton?) Deimos knows him, and threatens to call his boss. This guy asks Deimos his name…he tells him it doesn’t matter; leave, or he’ll be his worst living nightmare. John and Eduardo head out on a mission to rescue Marlena and Arianna. Hope shows up at the warehouse; she can’t believe it when she sees Chase tied to the chair… Ciara tells her why. She calls for a unit to come pick Chase up; he is arrested and taken to jail. Her friends come back to check on her and find they are gone; they go to her house. Victor gets a phone call;
tells Philip he’ll have his head for this.
Shaun comes into the club, looking for Belle “attorney at law”; makes
fun of the ‘office’ she has – tells her she can’t buy Claire’s love, especially
with stolen money. Joey has a flashback
of him smothering Ava with the pillow; Claire comes to tell him something bad
happened to Ciara. Theo is looking for
Ciara. Chase still waits for Andre to
return, not knowing he’s been arrested.
Teresa comes home acting all lovey-dovey with Brady, until Summer shows
up at the door; now she’s pissed.
Summer and Brady have plans to meet Maggie. Victor asks Philip how in the hell he could do something like
that (selling the formula); Philip says because you told me to. Victor is stunned. Ciara runs into some other kids in the park who say they saw her
at the party; she doesn’t know them.
They offer her a drink of liquor (something in a paper bag) and she
takes it – one guy puts his arm around her and says let’s go somewhere we can
really party. She is uncomfortable and
starts to panic, having flashbacks of the rape; Theo comes and tells the guy to
let go of her (points for Theo). Ciara
hugs him.
Belle and Shaun continue to fight; he tells her she reminds him of Philip. Victor is really pissed at Philip now; thinks he’s playing both sides. As Maggie comes to meet Brady and Summer, she is carrying on about a friend who just had a baby, a little girl… the best blessing in the world, she says. She mentioned bumping into Summer in the square the other day, and loosing a charm that meant a lot to her; then tells her she’d love to hear about her time with Daniel. Maggie asks about her experience with hospitals; Summer tells her she was a patient more times than she would have liked. She gets nervous halfway through the interview and says this was a mistake and leaves. Claire tells Joey that Chase raped Ciara. Chase might feel bad about it. Chase wanders out of hiding; finds a newspaper announcing Andre’s arrest. Theo demands to know from Ciara what happened – he guesses that Chase took things a little too far. Ciara tells Theo that she doesn’t want her mom to know, because she’ll blame herself for bringing him into their lives. She tells Theo to forget they had this conversation. Theo goes to talk to Claire where he finds her having just told Joey… they all decide they need to do something. They are waiting outside of Ciara’s house when Chase decides to go there; they grab him, hands over his mouth, and drag him away.

Abby, stressed now about
Ben’s escape, says they need to forget about the wedding and take Thomas and
leave. She is sure Ben is on his way
there. Eduardo gets a text, with a
picture of Marlena and their granddaughter… it says, “we will trade them for
you and John Black” – John comes in the door.
Eduardo is sure it’s the agency (?) trying to pull them back in. Kayla and Steve talk, trying to come up with
evidence that Ava was torturing them; Kayla questions whether he encouraged
her. Chad tells Abby they are not going
anywhere… he will see to it that she and Thomas are safe. Gabby comes into the police station; tells
Rafe and JJ that she knows something bad has happened. Abby admires her baby boy, still uneasy. ‘Petrov’ shows up at Deimos’ door; Deimos
gives him the formula and he hands Deimos a briefcase full of money and
leaves.
Steve assures Kayla that she is still the biggest thrill of his life and nothing will ever come close to what they have. She cries, but says they need to stay focused; she asks if he figured out what the key was for. Steve goes to check out the room where Kayla was held prisoner. Abby has a talk with her mother. Eduardo comes to talk to Rafe; shows him the text… he explains to Rafe that he was trained as a teenager – “brainwashed” into a life he did not choose. When the agency called, you came, he said; that is why he left Rafe’s mom. Rafe is angry that he came back to town, dragging this danger with him. Deimos has a knock at his door; it’s John, demanding to know everything about Elliam Petrov (Petroff?). Steven is now in the ‘the room’; he finds a hidden door, marked by a snake, which matches the key he has. When he opens the door, he is petrified. It’s a secret shrine, to him. That should prove she was crazy. Kayla shows up. Deimos refuses to give John any information. Abby is nervous; keeps hearing noises. so JJ tells Chad that they have to warn Abby about his escape; Abby is getting
concerned about her mother’s use of the pain pills. She tries to talk to her about it but just gets frustrated by
Jennifer’s reaction. Brady brings Summer
the DNA test results. John and Eduardo
meet; Eduardo has found a connection between Deimos and Ellia Petrov?
Victor comes home from ‘taking care of’ Deimos – Maggie wants to know what he is not telling her. He says he did what he had to do. While Deimos prepares to bandage his wound, he receives a visit from Kate… she offers to bandage it for him; of course, they start to kiss… he throws her on the bed. Summer is unsure about how she feels; finding out she is really alone, or she has this “insta-family”. Brady says he will leave her with the unopened results and tells her it may bring her peace; just to think about it. She decides to open it, and asks him to stay. Teresa and Nicole ask Gabby to leave Kate and come model for their new company. Kate tells Deimos to get off of her; she didn’t want it “like that”… he tells her he’s sorry – says he would wait thirty years to be with someone like her – she kisses him gently and they lay back down on the bed. The results show that Maggie is Summer’s mom; now she’s scared to meet her. She wants to make a good first impression.

He tells her he wants her to meet her – he thinks he’ll like her. Kate and Deimos have an intimate conversation; she asks him to let her help him ‘turn his back’ on Victor – to let things go. Abby, Chad and Jennifer finish going over the guest list for the wedding; Abby then demands to know what information JJ is keeping from her. He tells her Ben escaped. As Kate and Deimos stroll through the square, window shopping, Gabby goes to the park to meet Marlena and pick up Arianna. They are not there.

Victor asks Carolyn to come by
to talk about Deimos (corrected spelling)… she asks him to tell her the
whole story of why Deimos hates him so much.
Victor explains how he let Deimos take the blame for Helena’s death when they were younger,
which was really an accident. (This was
all before my viewing time; I don’t even know who Helena is, on Days.) Deimos is busy having the serum ingredients
analyzed. Belle tells Philip she was
wrong to be with him again; but she can’t deny her feelings. Philip tells her he wants something more
real with her.
Ciara has a dream – Chase is standing by her bed, saying “no one is going to believe” that she didn’t want it too; so, he says, he is going to do it again. She wakes with a gasp. Maggie has a run-in with Deimos in the park – he taunts her, telling her Victor is keeping something from her. So when she gets home, she asks Victor to tell her truth once and for all. Victor tells Maggie everything too; says he hoped it would just go away and he would never have to tell her. He didn’t want to involve her.
Claire tries to get Chase to hang out, but he turns her down; tells her he is leaving town tomorrow. Theo then confronts Chase, demanding to know what he did to Ciara… Chase tells Theo to leave him alone. Claire shows up to talk with Ciara and eventually figures out that Chase hurt her somehow; Ciara doesn’t deny it… Claire realizes it must have been rape. Theo stops by to see Ciara too; insists that she tell him what is wrong. Hope comes home and wants to know why they are all there. Ciara tells her she wasn’t feeling well again, and they just came to make sure she was ok. They leave. Chase is looking for Claire now; texts her, but she doesn’t want to see him anymore. Theo asks Claire why she doesn’t just tell him what’s going on; he knows she knows.

Kayla comes to visit Steve
at the jail; he asks how Joey is handling all this. Not well, she tells him – then tells him she knows that Joey
killed Ava, not him. But she agrees with his decision... tells him they
have to leave Joey out of it. Steve
swears to her that he can beat this, after all Ava did to them. He tells her that Roman knows Joey was in
there, but he is going to keep quiet.
He also says they have to keep Stephanie ‘out of the loop’… who is
Stephanie?
Jade runs into Joey in the park. Teresa, Brady, Nicole and Summer all come home to Salem; Teresa is not thrilled about their guest. Brady tells Teresa he is going to the doctor to get checked out (and to check on Summer’s dna test); he tells them to be nice to each other. JJ is still talking to Chad about Ben’s escape when Abby comes in to ask what they have to tell her; she demands to know the truth about what’s going on. JJ says he just wanted to let her know that he has made his peace with Chad and will be at the wedding. Jade then bumps into JJ in the park; asks if he wants to get high. He tells her he has to go. Summer asks to borrow Nicole’s tablet, and sneaks something else out of her purse. I couldn’t see what it was.
Abby tells Chad the caterer has approved their menu, then realizes she needs to let Teresa know the wedding date has moved up; she leaves to find out if the dress will be ready. As a storm rages in Salem, community
members gather at the restaurant, at Carolyn’s request, for a celebration of
the end of Stefano’s reign of terror.
Victor says he only regrets that Stefano died owing him a favor… Kate
(Victor’s ex) gets mad at Victor for plotting with Stefano against her. A lot of Salem residents reminisce about
Stefano and his life; he still haunts Hopes memories – she relives the shooting
in her mind – tells everyone she would rather listen than share. She prefers to leave him dead. It has stopped raining, stars are shining;
seems as though the storm really has passed, they all agree. John Black toasts their ‘special guest of
horrors’, who was unable to attend tonight; he actually thanks Stefano for
“testing them and making them stronger”.
Carolyn speaks to her dead husband, hoping he approves of her choice to
drink his prize whiskey on this occasion.

Chad talks with Stefano (in the spirit, I
guess), wondering if all this is for real; so many times he has faked his death
“just to come roaring back in”… Stefano tells him to learn from his mistakes –
to be the man he wants to be. He says,
“there is nothing stopping you now.”
Chad then hugs this apparition of Stefano. Eric comes to see Jennifer (recalling their recent kiss); she
tries to deny anything happened. Roman
interrogates Steve… he doesn’t buy his story.
He says there is blood on the pillow that doesn’t match his or
Ava’s. Demands to know the truth, but
Steve will not tell.
Joey is having haunting visions of Ava. He tells his mom that he was the one who killed her, drunk, after a party. Kayla tells him not to tell anyone else; just to let Steve’s plan play out. Frantic knocking at Brady's door... it's Summer; she's ranting, he threw her for a loop today - admits that she went into the ocean on purpose (says she's been drowning her whole life). Rafe and Hope meet; she thinks it may possibly have been Damos that took Bo now - she asks, what if she killed the wrong man? She tells Rafe about the phone call. Rafe reassures her that everything is ok.
Gabby comes to see JJ at the club. He tells her he's had a bad day; asks her to dance. They kiss pretty passionately while dancing. Nicole returns to the bar on the beach... talks to her old friend. They reminisce about Gabby. She breaks the news to him that Daniel is dead; asks him what he knows about Summer. Summer asks Brady about Maggie; then gets defensive, saying she doesn't need charity. Brady tells her Salem is full of good people and she might like it there. She concedes. She hugs him and tells him she forgives him for saving her life. Teresa is not happy.
