Theo begs Claire to come
out of her room; he says they need to talk.
She comes out but tells him there is nothing to talk about; Marlena
comes to see Claire. She asks Claire
how Jade knew she and Theo were having sex; Claire says girls talk about that
stuff. She asks how she thinks Theo
feels about her discussing their sex life; Claire shrugs her shoulders. Claire says it didn’t just happen; they
talked about it, and it was wonderful.
Marlene says she sure it was; but, she worries that it’s just another
passing fancy for Claire, reminding her of other things she has wanted try and
lost interest in. Claire insists she
really loves Theo, but she thinks he is in love with Ciara; Marlena asks why
she thinks that. She says she doesn’t
know, but that’s why she did what she did; Marlena asks what she did. (We aren’t shown the rest of this
discussion.) Theo comes home; Claire is
sitting alone on the couch. He
apologizes for not trusting her and she tells him he was right not to; she gets
up, gets Claire’s letter and hands it to him.
Sonny tells his grandfather he thought about him, and Titan; Victor tells him he was right about Deimos. He says, while he was vacationing in the isles, he had papers drawn up making him the new CEO of Titan. Sonny says awesome; Victor says maybe not so much. Victor tells him he will be making decisions that go outside of Titan; he says he knows Sonny has a strong code of ethics and he appreciates that. He says he doesn’t want to see him get crammed down a rabbit hole, adding it’s hard to climb out. He tells Victor not to worry; he says he is going to forge a new road for Titan and keep things above board. Victor tells him good luck with that; Sonny says no luck needed because he knows what he is doing.
Kate and Andre come in and are happy to see Chad and Gabi back; they all hug each other (excepting Gabi and Andre). Chad laughs when they tell him they got married; they explain that many of the board members were planning on taking DeMira Enterprises apart and running with the money. Chad tells her that the board will be expecting them to stay married; Gabi asks if she is ready to throw her life away by staying married to this man. Kate tells them that they know this is just a business arrangement. Kate tells him she plans on turning the reins back over to Chad in six months; Chad says his concern is that Andre will be married to the CEO for the next six months. Gabi asks Kate what happens if she meets the man she loves while she’s married to Andre; she tells Gabi she already met the man she loves, and she can’t have him. When Chad tells Andre and Kate that he and Gabi are now together; Kate says she couldn’t be happier about that. Chad asks Andre, how about him; Andre just chuckles to himself, and Gabi smiles coyly. When Andre catches her alone, he tells Gabi that he is putting her on notice, saying, “watch your step, Senorita.” She scoffs at the warning; she tells him they fought against this as much as they could, but the universe wants them together. She tells him it was nice talking to him and goes to get Arina. Kate tells Andre he needs to lose his distain for Gabi, saying, if he makes things difficult for her, Chad will make things difficult for him. She adds, a move against Gabi is a move against Chad… and her; she leaves the room. Chad and Gabi look at the stars as they kiss goodnight; he says he’s looking forward to a new beginning. She smiles and leaves.
Valerie calls to talk to Eli; she leaves a message, telling him she is glad he is home safely and asks him to call her back. Eli sees the missed call; he tells Lani he will call her back later. She says she will stay out of his business, but says, after seeing her dad, she feels like she is really home; she adds that it would probably be good for him to see his mom too. He says he will, it’s just that things were bad between them; Lani says she just called him, things couldn’t have been that bad. She urges him to call her back. Theo comes in and sees Valerie sitting at a table at the Pub; she invites him to sit down with her. He asks if she knows about the video; she says she’s glad none of it got out onto the Web. He says it got him thinking; he now has a lot of questions about sex, he says… it’s a lot more complicated than he thought. When Eli and Lani walk in, he hears his mother talking about him to Theo; she says when she heard that plane had gone down and she might never see her son again, the thought of living without him was more than she could handle.
Eli hugs his mom and tells her he loves her; she kisses him, and he cries. Theo tells Lani he is happy she’s back; she asks him about Claire. He tells her he has to go, but says he’ll tell her about it later at their dad’s, for their weekly family dinner. Eli apologizes to his mom for the way he treated her before he left; she tells him it’s fine, and they have all the time in the world to work on it now. Julie walks in and sees Valerie and Eli hugging; she smiles. Eli is thrilled when he realizes his mother and grandmother have “buried the hatchet.” Julie tells them both that she has a surprise for them; she takes them to the old ‘bed and breakfast’ that her father owned, and tells him that he owns it now. She and Doug bought it for him; he is stunned. She says he doesn’t have to live there, but they wanted him to have a part of his history. She tells them she is throwing a party there for him and everyone else from the island, as long as is okay with that; he thanks her.
