Tripp stutters when Steve
asks him what the surprise is he has planned for Kayla; Steve says he wants to
be a part of it. Jade jumps in and says
he wants to have a nice lunch for her, at Club TBD; Steve says he will get
Kayla there on time and asks what time lunch is. Jade says 1:00 today; Steve says he will go set things up. Jade tells Tripp he’s welcome and instructs
him to reserve a table with balloons and flowers, the whole nine yards, she
says; and make it for five, she tells him, she’ll be there. She’s going to get Joey. Steve tells Kayla that the plane has been
found and then says he wants to take her to lunch; she says she was going to do
paperwork, but he talks her into going.
Tripp gets the table ready; Steve and Kayla, and Jade and Joey show
up. Kayla isn’t necessarily happy to
see Jade, but Tripp tells her that Jade helped him plan this; Kayla invites
Jade to stay. Tripp admits that the
lunch was actually Jade’s idea; Jade says she wants everything to work out for
them and thanks them for letting her stay.
She touches Joey’s hand, and Kayla gets annoyed. When lunch is done, Tripp excuses himself,
as does Steve; Jade says she has to go because she has a job interview. Kayla immediately asks Joey what’s going on;
she says it doesn’t look like Jade knows it’s over. Jade stops at the door and listens, as Kayla proceeds to tell
Joey that he needs to “kick her to the curb.”
Jade tells Tripp he should have heard how Kayla was cutting her down to
Joey; he says she won’t be able to do that from prison. Jade says she’s counting on that; Kayla is
the only thing standing between her and Joey, as she sees it.
Jennifer spreads
the news about the kids being rescued; Rafe says when they all get back, they
should have a party… Hope agrees. Jen
tells Hope that Abigail decided not to go to the Dominican Republic after all;
Hope says that’s great. Jen tells Hope
that Eric wants to take her out again; Hope tells her not to worry so much and
to just let things happen. Rafe
questions a kid (Rory), the local dealer; he asks if he knows anyone who is
dealing with Halo. He tries to play
stupid to begin with, but Rafe tells him gratitude is a good thing to have from
the police department, and he would be grateful if he can find anything out;
the kid says he’ll see what he can find out.
Deimos calls his producer and tells them that he wants them to ramp up
production on Halo 2.0; he says he doesn’t care how hard it is, he just wants
it done. Eric happens to walk by;
Deimos makes a smart-ass comment to him.
Eric tells Deimos he should leave town; Deimos says he’s decided he
likes it there and he is staying, for good.
Deimos asks if he still has a lease on that old farmhouse; he says
no. Deimos then gives him a hard time
about Nicole; Eric grabs him and tells him he better just leave Nicole alone
from now on. Jen knocks a box off the
desk and bunches of letters spill out all over the floor; they are un-mailed
letters, to Nicole. When Eric gets
back, she asks Eric about them; he tells her he just couldn’t ever find the
right words. She wonders if he still
has feelings for Nicole and says maybe things aren’t going to work out between
them; she says she can’t be hurt again and asks if they can just be friends. He smiles and tells her she has been the
best friend he could ever ask for; she tells him he should read all of those
letters again, and not only pay attention to the words, but to the feelings
behind the words, and be honest with himself.
Rory comes into the station to tell Rafe and Hope that he followed the
“Candyman” to his lab; he got his picture… it’s Deimos.
Nicole has a dream about
Holly, all grown up; she tries to tell her that she is her mother and Holly gets
upset, saying her mother’s name is Chloe.
She insists she is her biological mom, but the girl yells at her and
tells her she doesn’t know her and will never love her. She wakes up and tells Brady about it; he
assures her that they will get Holly back, and she will know her, and love
her. Nicole goes out, and sees Chloe in
the park with Holly; she makes small talk.
Chloe tells her that Holly is trying to crawl now; Nicole mentions
baby-proofing and offers to get latches.
Chloe says that won’t be necessary; she tells Nicole they are going to
be leaving Salem. Nicole thanks her for
going to bat for her with the judge, saying at least she can still help Brady
raise Tate; Chloe says she is glad Brady is better and they found each other
again. She offers to let Nicole hold
Holly, but Nicole says it’s probably not a good idea; she wouldn’t be able to
let her go, she says, as she starts crying.
Chloe leaves and Nicole does her best to hold it together; she goes home
and tells Brady that Chloe is taking Holly away, and she fears she will never
know her. A knock comes on the door;
Brady answers it to see Chloe standing there, holding Holly.
