Nicole is back, doing more community
service; she prepares gift bags for the party/fundraiser. She tells Eric she’d feel a lot better if
Deimos was in custody, and adds, that he’d be safer than if she were to get her
hands on him. Rafe says they shut down
most of the Halo operation and they are getting it off of the streets; Hope
says she heard there was evidence from the lab that the original formula has
been altered to cause more intense hallucinations. Rafe says they will find him, and Hope says they have enough to
put him away for a long, long time. JJ
asks Lani if she is alright; she says she remembers coming down from Halo, and
was just thinking, she would do anything to give Deimos a taste of his own
medicine. Sonny is on the phone; apparently he has been making a lot of
calls. Paul begs him to be done,
hanging up on the next call that comes in.
He tells Sonny he wants an uninterrupted minute before they leave for
the party; he helps Sonny straighten his collar and finds him wearing the
amulet. Paul begs him to take it off
and put it in the safe; Sonny tells him not to worry, saying if something
happens, he can say I told you so. They
leave.
Gabi comes out, dressed in a pretty blue dress; Chad tells her she’s
beautiful. He also tells her his lawyer
just called and he is officially divorced; he is slightly somber about it. He tells her it’s a new beginning, for
everyone. Abigail receives the call;
she asks if Chad knows, and thanks the caller.
She takes a picture of her and Chad, with Thomas, out of her drawer and
looks at it; a knocks comes on the door.
It’s Dario; she tells him the divorce is final and they can get married
whenever he wants. He tells her he
knows this is hard for her, and says he is sorry; she tells him he doesn’t have
to be sorry and promises he will do whatever he can to make her happy, hoping
she can forget about Chad. He says he
knows she deserves better; he gives her the rings and says he hopes it’s classy
enough – she says it’s pretty nice. He
says they should blow off the party and go out to dinner and dancing; she says
it’s a fundraiser for the Horton Center and she wants to go. Chad tells Gabi he liked the island, saying
it was like their own little world; she says they could skip the party, but he
says they can’t because it’s in their honor.
He says he wants to go and then come back and “do some things” to her;
she grabs his hand and they leave.
The party begins; Eli tells Julie that he and
Gabi are over – Julie is giddy at the news, but tries not to be obvious. Deimos meets with his accomplice again, who
brings him a uniform; he is going to try to blend in with the waiters at the
party and pick Sonny’s pocket to get the amulet back. He admires his new vial of Halo 2.0 and says the people of Salem
aren’t even going to know what hit them.
He changes his clothes and heads to the party; Eric recalls his
confrontation with Deimos. Nicole asks
Eric to bring the box to her car; he says he’ll take her – he says she
shouldn’t drive there alone. Nicole
says she hates living in fear and won’t do it; she insists on driving
herself. Sonny, Paul, Lani and JJ
discuss Deimos and wonder why people treat someone like that with such respect;
Lani tells Sonny they couldn’t find anything at the lab that gave away Deimos’
whereabouts. Rafe and Hope tell Nichole they are sorry for the decision
the judge made, assuring her that Holly will be okay in the meantime.
Gabi and Chad make their entrance; they talk
with Dario and Abigail, civilly at first, then things get tense. Abby and Dario say it’s getting stuffy
inside and go out for some air; Julie announces that Eli has decided to turn
the old bed and breakfast into a residence for young people. She recognizes the Horton Center next and
encourages everyone to enjoy themselves, as Deimos is spiking the bottles of
Champagne. Doug tells Hope he isn’t
feeling well and he and Julie leave. JJ asks Gabi if she is happy, admitting that he still
cares about her, and always will; the conversation turns to Abigail, and JJ
says he just thinks it’s happening too fast.
Dario gets a call from Myron; he says he needs his help with the
computer at TBD. Hope questions the
call; Dario tells her he has to leave.
Abby kisses him goodbye when he tells her; Chad sees, and looks annoyed. Deimos seems to have taken ‘lead’ and
instructs the other waiters to make sure everyone has a glass, saying, if they
don’t want Champagne, push the cider.
Eric makes a toast to everyone who made it back from the island, to the
Horton Center and to all of them; as he lifts his glass, Hope tells Eric to
wait… she says he can’t drink that. She
says it’s bad luck to toast with water and gets him a glass of cider; everyone
clicks their glasses and drinks.
Deimos
smiles and nods his head, then exits the room; Paul notices him and
follows. A waiter sips a glass of
Champagne; outside the door, Paul gets knocked over the head with stick. Nicole and Eric are suddenly already back at
the Horton Center and Nicole starts feeling weird; Eric asks if she feels
sick. She says no, but what she feels
is something she’s never felt before; he goes to get her a glass of water. Deimos says it’s too bad Paul is going to
miss out on all the fun, as he drags him out of the walkway; Abigail, who has
apparently already had too much to drink, approaches Gabi and Chad and starts
pressing them for details about the island.
Gabi tells her she pushed them together and she knows it; she starts
getting blubbery and tells them she’s right and she’s sorry. She excuses herself; Chad tells Gabi he
needs to go help her. Gabi finishes her
glass of Champagne. Abby gets to her
room, which I guess is upstairs, in the bed and breakfast; Chad comes in and asks if
she’s okay. She says she just doesn’t
really feel like herself; they sit face to face for a minute and Abby laughs.
As Hope finishes her glass, she and Rafe get
the urge to be alone together and decide to leave. Eli gets emotional over the fact that his grandparents gave him
this house; JJ and Lani start getting giggly.
JJ says if he didn’t know better, he’d say he was wasted. Sonny notices that Paul is missing; he asks
the others if they have seen Paul… they say no. Everyone looks disoriented; Sonny says he has no idea what’s
going on. Deimos watches and smiles.
