Kate doesn’t seem impressed with the idea of Chad and Abby
renewing their vows; she asks if he has put his feelings for Gabi behind
him. He says he is devoted to his wife
and son; she says that’s admirable, but is it what he really wants? Abigail overhears Kate saying that she has
never seen him as happy as when he was with Gabi; Abigail tells him she knows
that Kate wants him to be with Gabi.
Chad tells her that doesn’t matter, because she is the only woman he
wants to be with; he tells her he can’t wait to marry her again. She says, her too, but she doesn’t seem
convinced. Sonny and Paul are on a date
at Club TDB; they talk about how nice it is to finally be together out in
public. Kate comes in with Marlena; she
rudely asks Sonny why he is with “him.”
Sonny takes her aside and speaks to her, convinces her that he loves
Paul and she says she will accept that and be happy for him. Sonny and Paul go home from the Club and
decide to spend the night together.
Lani doesn’t seem happy when Eli tells her that they are going to be working together, as he has inherited an assignment with the FBI; the fight between the families. JJ says that’s means he’ll be assisting he and Lani; Eli corrects him, saying since the FBI has jurisdiction, they will actually be assisting him. JJ and Lani go out to dinner, and afterward, he walks her home. She invites him to come stay with her; he turns her down, saying that he loves her so much, he wants to wait, to prove she is worth waiting for. Lani seems impressed by this, and they finish walking home.
Gabi and Dario talk; he tells her that he told Abigail he loves her. He says she shut him down pretty fast; he tells her Abby put up a wall between them. It doesn’t surprise her that she cut him off too; he says that’s just how they deal with threats to their marriage. Gabi asks if that’s what they are; Dario says they could be. When Abigail gets a phone call and steps outside, Gabi follows her; Abby is telling her mom about her plans to renew vows with Chad when Gabi steps out after her. She tells Jen she’ll call her back and tells Gabi sorry; Gabi says it’s fine, she and Chad deserve to be happy. She then tells Abigail that she could kind of use a “step back” from their friendship too, and they hug each other. Chad and Abigail go home and make love.
