03-30-2017 (Thursday) Confessions

Hope and Jennifer talk; Hope asks how Eric is doing at the Center.  Jen tells him he is wonderful with people; she just wished that he was as kind to himself.  Hope asks about the picture she found at Eric’s and their relationship; Jen says it was mostly just comforting each other, but usually involved alcohol and pain meds.  Hope asks if the feelings are still there; Jen says for her, yes, but she doesn’t think Eric will ever be done punishing himself.  She says he doesn’t think he deserves love; she then says she has to go, hugs Hope and leaves. Roman goes to see Eric; Eric tells him about the runaway girl he got through to yesterday, and that it felt good.  Roman brings up Jennifer saying, “that woman is good for you.”  Eric smiles, and nods.  Roman goes on to talk about making other friends; Eric says he doesn’t need friends.  He says he just believes in service and that’s what makes him get up every morning; Roman says that’s a start.

Jennifer comes into Brady’s Pub, looking for Roman, and Eric pops up from behind the counter; he’s apparently repairing something.  She says she will come back later; he tells her to wait, saying, he needs her.  She reads directions for him as he makes the repair; he thanks her for her help.  She says they make a good team; he asks her to lunch at the cafĂ© in the square, to discuss the fundraiser.  It’s obvious that it is about more than the fundraiser though; Jen agrees.

Dario tells Abigail that he didn’t mean to say he loved her; that he just heard it coming out of his mouth and he kind of wanted to talk about it.  He tells her he doesn’t want to lose her as a friend; she says he won’t… he’s been there for her through some really bad times and she will never forget that.  He says he was glad to be there and he wants to keep being there for her; he asks if she can forget that he said he loved her.  She doesn’t think she can pretend, she says she is going to have to keep her distance for now, since Chad is going to stay away from Gabi.  He tells her he will honor her wishes, but tells her, if Chad ever huts her, he will show her what love really means.  Jennifer walks in and asks if she has interrupted something.  Abby acts perfectly normal, and says not at all; Dario says he was just checking on Abigail.  Jennifer thanks him for what he did, and tells them goodbye, but Jennifer can see the look in his eyes as he says goodbye to Abby, romantically.  Abby tells her that he told her he loved her.  Back at the Club, Dario pours himself a drink.  He gets a call from someone; he says that’s a game-changer, and he needs to go tell his dad.

Chloe walks into the bar, and lays a big kiss on Eduardo; he guesses that Kate just walked in behind her.  She says he guessed right; he turns to look at Kate, who is glaring.  Kate says she was hoping he would see through Chloe’s tactics; she then says tangling with Chloe is almost as dangerous as messing with Deimos.  She says she can’t believe he doesn’t see how ridiculous this is; he says there’s nothing serious going on between him and Chloe.  He’s committed to one serious problem she has; he tells Kate, he wants HER, he’s gone on record saying that, and if she doesn’t want to reciprocate that’s fine, but she can’t tell him who he can and can’t spend his time with then, adding it doesn’t work that way.  Kate leaves in a huff.  Chloe gets a call from Parker, as she and Eduardo walk through the square; Eduardo sees Deimos and makes fun of him for being beaten up, asking if he ran into a door and then deducing that Chad got a hold of him.  Eduardo says what he is going to do to him is going to be even worse, and he won’t even see it coming.

Hope sees Deimos in the square; she asks if the other guy looks worse.  He tells her it’s no big deal, and wishes her a good day as he walks off.  Hope listens in on Deimos’ conversation with someone, as he tells them he has to postpone their meeting; he says he had a run in with one of Chad’s men, leaving him with a few bruises.  He says there are too many eyes watching right now, but not to worry, he will make “that little punk pay.”  Hope goes to warn Abby.  Dario tells Eduardo that he got information about Nicole and Brady; he knows where they are.

Nicole comes out with Holly and sees the door shaking; someone is trying to come in.  She grabs the fireplace poker and tells whoever it is that she has a gun.  Brady tells her it’s him; he says he doesn’t have his key.  She opens the door to see him standing there, with Tate.  She is surprised.  He tells her they are there to stay; she’s confused.  She tells Brady he can’t rearrange his life for her, adding that he doesn’t owe her anything; he says he is there because he wants to be there.  They sit down; she says he can’t take Tate away from the only family he’s ever known… he says “he” is Tate’s family.  She says this can’t be enough for him; he says he will decide what is enough for him.  He tells Nicole that he thinks they could make a life there, a really, really nice one; he says the cover story they told Hillary the other sounded good to him, and he wants to be a real family.  He tells Nicole that he doesn’t want his son in Salem right now, it’s a town full of problems and Deimos is poison; he tells her he wants to be there with her, and admits that he loves her.

Nicole seems surprised by Brady's confession of love; he says it surprised him as much as her.  She says she loves him too, mentioning he is the best friend she’s ever had; he tells her he thought that’s all it was too, until people starting pointing it out to him that it was all over his face.  He mentions they were more than friends once; she says friends with benefits and it was great sex.  He says back then they didn’t give themselves a fair shot; he says they have one now, the four of them.  He believes they can make it happen; Nicole says it seems so sudden.  Brady says, he thought so too, until he realized, it wasn’t; he says everything they’ve been through together, standing by her through everything… it just all feels right.  He has always loved her; they kiss.  Even so, she says she’s not sure she’ll ever feel the way he wants her to feel; he says once she lets her guard down, she will.  He says, to him, it feels like it was meant to be; she ask if this is him talking, or Daniel’s heart.  He says it may be Daniel’s heart, but he has his own mind and soul, and he loves her, and nothing will keep him from doing that.
