Eli shows up to visit
Gabi; he asks her if she will go out with him again. She tells him not to take it personally, but she is not ready to
date someone right now; he grabs his heart and says, she cuts out on their
first date early, and now she hurts his ego.
He sits down and puts his number in her phone, for “when” she changes
her mind; she laughs. He asks about
Deimos; she asks why he cares… his phone beeps. She asks if that’s someone checking to see if he “got the goods
on Deimos.” He tells her that he has
been talking to JJ about taking Deimos down; he was updated him about a guy
named Ricco, they think is working for Deimos.
Gabi suspects he wants her to confirm that; he says he wants her to be
safe. She says there are a lot of
reasons, which are her business and not his, that she doesn’t want to talk about
what happened. He hangs up on a call
from his mother and Gabi asks why he doesn’t want to talk to her; he gives her
a hard time about not wanting to share her secrets but wanting to know his. He tells her anyway; he says he doesn’t
think he can ever understand the choice his mom made. Gabi says she is sure whatever his mom did was done because she
wanted to protect him; she adds, if he ever wants to talk, she’s a pretty good
listener. He thanks her and says he
needs to get going.
Adrian gets a visit from Justin, Lucas, and Sonny; the doctor tells her the tests are clear. She should not need the chemo treatments anymore; the guys say they are going to spread the news. She tells them that she wants to say what she tried to say to Kate before passing out prior to surgery; they say she doesn’t have to, as they don’t want to cause her stress. She says it’s causing her more stress now, not saying it; Lucas asks if he can talk to her alone for a minute before she says anything. Justin and Sonny leave the room; he tells her. He says he figured she was going to pick Justin, and he just wants her to know that all he wants is for her to be healthy and happy. He tells her he loves her and doesn’t care what form that love takes, he will be there for her however she wants him to be. She tells him that she loves him from the bottom of her heart, and she chose him… back at the hotel, she says, and before the surgery, and right now, she chooses him, she says.
Lucas goes out and tells Justin that Adrian is ready to talk to him; he doesn’t give away his happiness to Justin, but when Ann approaches him, he can’t to tell her. She makes some excuse about donuts, and runs out before she cries, obviously. Justin is very surprised by Adrian’s decision, but promises to still be her friend, and vows no more last minute interruptions to stop her from saying “I do.” He tells Sonny that his mother picked Lucas; Sonny says he’s sorry. Justin says he will be fine; he tells Sonny Adrian fell asleep, and he should be with her when she wakes up. She wakes up when Sonny steps in the door; he tells her to go back to sleep, and whispers that he hopes she made the right decision. Lucas tells Justin that he hopes they can still be friends; Justin tells him just to take good care of her and not take her for granted, which is the mistake he made. Lucas says he won’t; they shake hands.
Steve tries to explain his actions to his newly-found son; he tells him his mother was a threat, and he was ordered by the ISA to “neutralize” her. Tripp is not happy and he wants to leave; Joey stops Tripp at the door and says there is something their dad isn’t telling him. Kayla steps in and tells Trip about his mother’s antiques; that his mother was not only dangerous, she was certifiably insane and had, in fact, kidnapped her. He asks how he can possibly know all this is true and not just made up; Steve does his best to persuade him, but he doubts everything. Steve says they should go back to the house and talk about this; Tripp says he’s not going anywhere with him. He calms down, but tells them he just doesn’t want to hear anymore right now; Joey offers to let Tripp stay there with him and Jade. Steve and Kayla leave. Kayla gets the call about Adrian and hugs Steve; she tells Steve she fears that Joey might tell Tripp the truth because he feels so guilty about killing Ava. Steve says he is going to do his best to be a good father to him. Tripp thanks Joey for letting him stay there; he looks up a number and asks the person he calls if he can talk to them about Ava.
