Brady tells Marlena he needs to speak to her,
but not as a son, he says; as a patient.
He says he needs doctor-patient confidentiality and tells her that he
has been aiding and abetting a known fugitive.
Brady tells Marlena he loves her, and he believes she is doing the right
thing; she asks if this has anything to do with Daniel. He says he’s been in Nicole’s life for a
long time and they’ve always been there for each other; Marlena tells Brady
that she doesn’t think this will work, because Nicole will get caught and go to
jail and lose the baby. Brady says he
is going to do everything he can to prevent that from happening; Marlena asks
why he called her, and asks what about Tate. Brady goes home, tells Victor goodbye and tells him he is taking Tate with him and going on an extended vacation; Victor says he knows he is going on the run with Nicole and he warns him that it is going to end badly. Brady leaves.
Jade
wakes up on the couch, and takes a pain pill.
Joey comes in and she grabs her stomach, as if in pain; she tells him
she’s scared and thinks she’s getting worse.
She asks him to stay for a while.
Kayla comes to talk to Joey…she asks Jade to
leave the room. Kayla tells Joey they
may have found his brother. Steve takes
Tripp to the hospital to have blood drawn for DNA testing; Tripp says it’s
weird, he spent years trying to track down his birth parents, and he and Kayle
just suddenly show up. Steve tells him,
if he is his son, he is glad he found him; Tripp asks if Steve thinks his mom
will feel the same way; Steve does not answer.
He does tell him that she was as anxious to find him as he was; he says
he needs to wait until they know for sure he is his son before he says any more
about her. The nurse tells them the
analysis of their test has been delayed; they will call with the results. Steve tells him they are going to meet
someone, just in case.
They go to Joey
and Jade's apartment; Steve introduces them to Tripp.
He asks again about his mother; Steve reminds him they have to wait…
Kayla verifies that the lab is backed up and it will be a while. Tripp tells them all that his adoptive
mother died when he was young, and his father used him for a punching back, so
he took off and he couldn’t care less.
Steve shares a little of his childhood story and talks about his sister,
Adrian, and the rest of their family; he says he never thought he could be so
happy. Kayla gets the call; the results
are positive. Tripp is Steve’s son. Jade falls down the stairs.
Dario stands over Gabi’s
bedside; he asks the nurse how she’s doing.
The nurse says she is not out of the woods yet; Eduardo comes in. Dario tells him he is concerned about her;
Eduardo says her doctor is worried too.
Dario discusses the fact that Deimos did this with his father; Eduardo
says Deimos wants him to come after him and they need to be smart and figure
out how to win it permanently. He says,
trust him, they will respond. Abigail
tells Chad that she wants to go to the hospital to see Gabi, and that she
thinks he should go to; he asks what about the decision they made yesterday to
cut her out of their lives. She says,
after what Deimos did, none of that matters; they have to stand together, and
Gabi needs to know they are there for her.
When Chad and Abigail walk in, Dario verbally attacks Chad, saying this
was all his fault; Chad apologizes.
Dario walks away; Abby says she is going to “go check on him.”
Chad talks to Eduardo; Eduardo thanks Chad
for saving his daughter. Chad tells him
Dario thinks its his fault; Eduardo says Dario needs to be mad at someone
because it’s easier than facing the possibilities. Chad goes in to see Gabi; Dario tells Abigail that he doesn’t
think it’s fair that Chad has kept Gabi on a string, while he has a wife who is
so beautiful and sweet and smart. He
tells her she deserves a husband who will love her like he does; he also says
Chad doesn’t deserve her. He says Chad
only loves her with half a heart and that is not fair; he says she doesn’t
deserve to be stuck with Chad and walks away.
Dario goes back into Gabi’s room and asks what’s wrong; Eduardo says the
doctors have done all they can, and the rest is up to her. As Chad and Abigail talk in the waiting
area, Eduardo comes out asking for a doctor; Gabi is awake. She asks if Chad is there; Dario tells her
she needs to get over Chad because he is with Abigail.
