Kayla and Steve visit a café where Tripp used
to work; the owner tells them “that son of a bitch doesn’t work here
anymore.” They ask what happened; he
said he was giving free food to his buddies, for one thing. Kayla asks if his black eye had anything to
do with Tripp; the owner says “yeah,” adding that he was going to call the cops
but figured it wasn’t worth it. Steve
worries Tripp might be trouble; Kayla says it will be okay, they will figure it
out. He tells her he can do anything
with her by his side. Jade, now out of
the hospital, tries to talk to Joey about his little brother, but when she
brings up Ava, he says he doesn’t want to talk about her; he wishes he had
never met her. She upsets him when she
brings up the fact that he murdered Ava, after that. Tripp comes back in the door of the cafe and the owner starts yelling for him
to get out; he says he came for something and he wants it. He tells the owner he wants his back pay; he
adds that he saw him groping the waitress and knows what he was going to do
when he pulled him off of her. The guy
tells him to get lost; Steve stands up and tells the owner, if he owes him back
pay, he needs to pay it. The guy tells
Steve to stay out of it, saying he doesn’t care what he thinks; Steve punches
him in the other eye. The falls to a
chair and says he is going to call the cops; Tripp asks Steve who he is and
Steve tells him, he thinks he might be his father.
Sonny tells his Uncle Victor if he doesn’t rein Deimos in, he will. Victor argues that Sonny doesn’t know exactly what Deimos has done; Sonny says he heard him say he was going to make Chad pay. Victor tells Sonny not to antagonize Deimos, saying you never know what he is capable of; he tells him to keep it about business, not some personal vendetta. Sonny says he can’t stand around and watch this man destroy the people he loves; Victor says he always thought of Sonny as the “best of us” and one day he will lead the family, but he doesn’t think he is ready yet. Sonny asks if someone is going to have to die for him to realize he made a mistake.
The voice says there is only a few seconds before the poison is all administered; Chad is giving it to Abigail. Paul retrieves a copy of the message sent to Chad and the three men take off to help him save the girls; Chad is holding Abby and looking at Gabi, while he remembers more of their time together, playing ball. He apparently didn’t give ALL of the antidote to Abigail, because he tugs on his ear, as he looks at Gabi, she nods her head and yanks her hand free from the ropes; he throws the vial to her and she catches it, and drinks the remaining antidote. Paul, Dario and JJ rush in just in time to untie Abigail, as Chad is trying untie Gabi, who has now passed out and is starting to seize from the poison; she only got about a quarter of the vial. Abby has now passed out as well and both girls are in the hospital; Dario asks Chad what happened and Chad recounts the events. He tells Dario he gave half to Abigail and half to Gabi; he says he couldn’t let either of them die. Dario asks what if neither one of them wakes up now.
