Abigail is home from the hospital; Gabi isn’t
any better. Rafe wonders why his sister
isn’t waking up; Hope suggests it may be because Abby got it first. Rafe grabs Deimos when he sees him at Brady’s
Pub; he shoves him backward. Hope tells
him this isn’t the time or place; Rafe tells Deimos to leave. Deimos claims he was just getting a paper. Hope suggests that they get Sonny to work
with them; Rafe says he will find him and ask.
Hope goes to see Deimos; he asks what he can do for her. She asks if he is going to retaliate against
Rafe for his actions at the Pub today; he says he understands that he is upset
and assures her he had nothing to do what happened to Rafe’s sister. She says that was a promise not to
retaliate; he gets a phone call and excuses himself, telling her to show
herself out. He walks out of the room;
she starts snooping.
Eric talks to a girl on the phone; Jen compliments his kindness and compassion. She tells him she was living on the streets when she was sixteen; she says she could have used someone like him to get her back on track. They get kind of close; Eric asks how Abigail is this morning and walks behind the desk. She tells him; he asks if they have got Deimos for it yet. She says no, but she is going to do whatever she can to see that he pays for what he’s done.
Adrian is admitted to the hospital for her masectomy; the doctor reviews the procedure. Adrian says she is ready; she asks Lucas and Justin to give her a minute with Kate. They leave; she falls apart the minute they close the door. She says the realization hit her this morning when she looked at her breasts in the mirror; she cries about the surgeon telling her about the reconstruction. She says they may look like breasts, but they won’t be breasts; they’ll be bags of liquid. Then she talked about tattoos for nipples; I’ve never heard of that before. Kate holds her and rocks, while she cries. Sonny asks his dad if “mom” is okay; Justin says she’s pretending that she is. Sonny says, “that would be mom.” He tells his dad about what Deimos did to Abigail and Gabi, and Chad; Justin is appalled. Sonny goes in to see his mom; she tells him she is so happy he’s there. She tells him he means the world to her; he says he knows that. She asks to talk to Kate again and tells her she is her light; she says she gives her hope, then asks her to make sure Sonny is okay, if anything should happen. Kate tells her not to talk that way, but promises anyway. The medication begins to work and Adrian is taken in for her surgery. The doctor comes out when the masectomy is done, and the reconstruction is beginning; Justin asks about the biopsy. The doctor says she will let them know when they get the results; Justin and Lucas make Kate tell them what Adrian said. “Tell him I love him,” is what she reports; but the sedative kicked in and she fell asleep before saying who.
Nicole’s new friend, Hillary, scares her when she pulls a gun out of her purse after realizing that Nicole is really worried about something; she assures her she can take care of it, and tells Nicole in her “real life” she is a copy. Nicole looks worried; Hillary sees that she is scared and offers to go put the gun away. Nicole calls Brady and tells him she is really scared; he asks what’s going on. Hillary knocks at the door again; Nicole tells Brady she has to go. Hillary invites her to go to dinner with her; Nicole declines, saying she has a lot of unpacking to do.Brady goes to see Eric; he tells him that he has and always will be one of the best brothers he’s ever had. He too asks Brady if he is in love with Nicole.
Later, Brady runs into Jennifer in the square and tells her that he is tired of everyone making assumptions about how he feels about a certain someone. Right away, Jennifer assumes he means Nicole and how much he loves her; he asks why everyone thinks that. She says maybe they see something he hasn’t even realized himself. They talk about Eric; Brady tells her not to give up on him. She says she won’t. Nicole calls Brady again and tells him this girl is a cop; she worries if she sees the Amber Alert she might turn them in. Brady makes her promise that she won’t take Holly and run; he says Hillary probably did see the alert because she is on vacation. He says he will be back soon; she says she doesn’t know what she did to deserve him. He says, “just being you.” Then talking to Tate, he realizes everyone is right; he is in love with Nicole.
As Deimos tells his henchman to stay on Brady and he will lead them right to Nicole, Hope listens in on the conversation; apparently she planted a bug when she was left alone in the room. Rafe finds Sonny at the hospital and tells him he needs him to find out whom Deimos is paying to work for him; Sonny thinks he might be using Titan funds and says he can find out. They shake hands.
