Kate yells at Andre to get downstairs; she asks him if they are getting married or not.  He looks horrible, and sips his coffee as he moans; he says he can’t even think of a lifetime with her bellowing up the stairs at him.  He says he spent all night worrying about his brother and doesn’t want to think about this; she says there’s no point in worrying because he can’t help Chad right now.  What he needs to worry about she says, is that there is something left of the company for him when he gets back.  He gripes that the board doesn’t think he is fit to run the company; he says he might sue for defamation of character.  She tells him she will caress his battered ego once they get married; she says the board trusts her, but they need a DeMira… and he is the only one left.  She says, together, they can make sure DeMira Enterprises is still in existence; she tells him to get dressed so they can “get this show on the road.”  He hands her a pre-printed prenuptial agreement; he says his father had a bunch of them printed up to have on hand.  She says her judge-friend has agreed to see them, although she doesn’t know why; they tell the butler they need him to come with them, to be a witness.

Claire looks at her stats; they are going down, not up.  She wonders if Jade might be right about the sex video; she asks herself, “how desperate am I?”  Theo asks his dad if he’s heard anything about Chad and Lani; Abe says no, but says everything that can be done is being done.  Theo asks if he thinks that find them; he says he does.  He tells his dad he thinks it’s his fault that Ciara left town; Hope comes to see Claire.  Claire tells her she misses Ciara; she says her other friends give her advice, but it may not be good advice.  She tells Hope how frustrated she is about her lack of attention; she says she wants to be on magazine covers and such.  Hope says fame isn’t everything; she says she should be focusing on how her music fills her soul.  Theo tells his dad that Ciara admitted she was in love with him; Abe asks Theo if he loves Ciara too.  He says he does, as a friend; he tells his dad he is in love with Claire.  Abe says they shouldn’t get too serious; Theo tells him it’s too late… they are already serious, he says, and he doesn’t see anything changing that.

Hope asks Claire if she would give up her music if she didn’t get famous; she clarifies, would she be content just playing in the coffee shops and such for the rest of her life.  Claire says she would; she’d be happy as long as she could make some money writing songs and playing here and there.  Hope says good, so if that big break comes, great; but if not, at least you know in your heart you are doing what you are meant to do.  Claire thanks her for the talk and kisses her grandma goodbye.  She plays her guitar and sings and hauntingly beautiful song “cold as the morning sun shines down on me” – she tells herself her grandmother is right and she just needs to keep writing songs.  She goes to her device and presses buttons to delete the video.  Theo comes home and she tells him that her grandma helped her see that she needs to concentrate on her music, not on being famous… he says good; he agrees.  He kisses her and goes to get a drink of water; Claire calls Jade and tells her she deleted the video.  She asks Jade to reassure her that was the only copy, but is upset when Jade mentions it’s probably still in the trash bin folder.  She asks Theo for his computer and he tells her he left it with his dad at the station so he could look at the photos he got for him; Claire is noticeably disturbed.  Abe is looking through the pictures and accidentally deletes one, distracted by the missing plane; Hope tells him just to go to the trash folder and it will still be in there.  They click on the video of Theo and Claire making love; they are shocked.

The judge sentences Nicole, after weighing all factors, to “time served” and gives her 300 hours of community service and fine of $250,000.00; Nicole hugs Chloe and thanks her.  They begin to talk and Justin pulls Nicole aside; he tells Nicole that she doesn’t need to talk to Chloe right now.  She says she was thanking her; he says he knows she was also about to ask for more time with Holly.  She defends her right, as Holly’s mother, to spend time with her daughter – he says it’s just extremely bad timing.  He tells her not to make Chloe sorry she helped her; she tells him he’s right.  Brady is talking to Eric; says it should be Deimos behind bars, not Nic.  Nicole walks in and tells him she’s free; she hugs him.  She turns and tells Eric that she appreciates what he did, by talking to Chloe, and thanks him for helping her out; but, she says, that’s as far as it goes – she still does not forgive him for killing Daniel.  He says he knows, and leaves; Brady looks at Nicole like, ‘what the hell?’ and says, “really?”  He tells her Choe’s cooperation was a gift; he reminds her of how Eric risked his life to save her from Xander and bring her back to him.  He says we all make mistakes; she says she knows that, but she just can’t.  She says all she wants to think about is them; they can now have everything they wanted… except the hardware store, Brady says, claiming that he had really big plans for that hardware store.  They hug.  Chloe takes Holly home; her mother shows up with Parker.  Parker is happy to see his baby sister, but asks when she is going back to Nicole; her mom says she wants to know the answer to that question as well.  Chloe hesitates, saying Nicole just got sentenced; her mom tells her to stop making excuses.  Chloe says Holly is better off with her, and she believes Nicole is coming around to seeing that; her mom tells her not to fool herself.  She says all Nicole has ever wanted is a baby, and she won’t ever stop trying to get her child back; Brady tells Nicole they’ve already had two miracles, and says they may just get a third and get Holly back.

Andre and Kate meet with her friend; the judge is surprised when she says they want to get married.  Kate tries to make it seem real, saying the heart wants what the heart wants, you know?  She tells her it needs to be right here, right now; Andre says he wants to make an honest woman of her, as he smiles.  Kate tells her friend, after the honeymoon, they will get together for a nice, long lunch to discuss her next campaign contribution; the judge starts reciting the speech, “We are gathered here today…” – the butler exclaims, “dear God.”  When the judge asks if Kate will honor, etc., and “cleave only unto him,” she responds, “I do… as long as the money keeps rolling in.”  Andre laughs and agrees; they tell the judge they joke a lot.  She pronounces them husband and wife, and Andre leans in to kiss Kate; she throws her hand up in front of her lips and tells Harold (the butler) to sign the papers.  The judge hands the final copy to them and they dart out the door, saying the video conference started 4 minutes ago; they hope it’s not too late.  They make a toast, at a table in the Square, after she is appointed the new CEO of DeMira Enterprises, to “Mr. and Mrs. Andre DeMira.”  Just overhears and exclaims that it is the end of the world; they laugh and say, “it is just the beginning.”
