Claire sends a message to a troll on
the Internet; she tells them they were wrong about Abe, just like she
knew. Theo tells her that he
appreciates her believing in his father the way she did; he is disappointed in
himself that he couldn’t. She tells him
it’s okay; his father will understand and loves him anyway. She tells him he should talk to his dad; Abe
happens to come to the door. He and
Valerie invite Claire and Theo to join them for dinner; Claire says they
deserve some alone time.
Abigail is
getting released from the hospital; Jen and JJ come to see her. They tell Abby and Chad about Raines’
arrest; Jen says it’s thanks to Abe, for putting his career on the line to
bring Raines to justice. Abe goes inn
to see Raines in the interrogation room; he tells him he’s looking at twenty to
life. He tells Raines it will be “hard
time.” He is given a standing ovation
when he walks back into the squad room; Lani gives him a hug. JJ tells Abe he’s a rock star and shakes his
hand; Valerie tells him she is proud of him.
He gives her back the necklace he bought for her, saying that even
though it was bought for the sting, the feelings that came with it were real. Lani and JJ go in to see Raines; Lani asks
how he can live with himself. She is
angry that he used all of them; JJ tells him he can’t believe he almost killed
his sister. Raines says he is sorry; JJ
says his apology is not accepted and takes him to a cell.
Paul and Sonny discuss
the wedding date; Sonny tells him if he wants to change it, that’s fine with
him – since it’s Paul’s first wedding, he wants it to be special for him; Paul
says it will be his only wedding, and he doesn’t care if there are a hundred
people there, or none. He says, sharing
the day with Chad and Abigail sounds wonderful to him. Sonny asks about his father; Paul tells him
he knows his father isn’t on a mission.
Marlena lied to him and he wants to find out why.Andre reads the news
reports, and laughs about Abe setting up the Commissioner; he asks Kate about
the “glorious acquisition” she’s been working on. She is surprised he knows about it; he gets a phone call from
“Marlena.” She tells him he passed his
psych evaluation, “with flying colors.”
He says he can now get control of his family’s business and kick his
backstabbing wife to the curb. She says
he can count of her. He calls an
impromptu news conference; he tells the reporters that he has found out that
his marriage is a fraud. He says his
wife Kate is having an affair with Roman Brady.
Roman stands up for Kate and tells the reporters that he is the
one who kissed Kate; he says she told him she was married and did not return
his feelings. Andre tells the reporters
that Kate has been fooling the board and is trying to gain control of DeMira
Enterprises; he offers to step in to fulfill her 6 month contract. He says Marlena will testify to his mental
stability; “Marlena” steps in front the microphone. She says everyone knows she is not a fan of Andre DeMira; she
says she doesn’t let her personal feelings get in the way of her job,
however. She then announces that in her
professional opinion, Andre DeMira is, without a doubt, mentally
incompetent. Andre looks at her with
shock; Kate smiles.
