08-03-2017 (Thursday) What's Going On Here?

Chad goes to see Abby; Gabi tells Andre she wants to know what he was just saying to Chad. He simply tells her Chad is upset because Abigail has been hurt because of her brother; he says he just hopes she pulls through, and walks out.  He tells Chad they need to finish their conversation, about the picture they deleted; Chad tells Andre that he wants his son to know that his father did what was right – he says, as soon as Abigail is out of the hospital, he is turning himself in for killing Deimos.  Kayla tells Chad, JJ and Jennifer that Abby made it through surgery; she says only time will tell now if she recovers.  She suggests they pray for the best.  She says they can go in and visit her, but only one at a time; Jen goes in first.  Kayla warns her, Abby will be unconscious; but, she tells her, she can hear you.  Jennifer thanks her.  She tells Abigail she brought a picture of Thomas, so when she opens her eyes she can see his face; she then tells her how many people need her right now, including Chad.  She starts to cry, saying she needs her most of all; she says she won’t be able to take it if she loses her now.

JJ comes in next; he comments on how much Thomas actually looks like him, and then talks about when they were little, and how scared he was of Thunderstorms.  He says she comforted him, telling him the storm would pass and everything would be okay; he tells her he is holding her hand now and promises her that this storm will pass and she will be okay.  He says she has to be.  Next, comes in Chad; JJ and Lani go for a walk.  Chad tells Abigail he is there.  Andre tells Gabi that Chad is the one who killed Deimos.  Eric shows up at the hospital, telling Jennifer he just heard; he says he is so sorry.  She hugs him, and cries.

Nicole and Brady sit on the couch, watching T.V.; his mind goes back to overhearing her say that there is no reason for him to know “what happened” between Eric and her.  He shuts off the movie and tells her he’s just not in the mood; he says he feels like he hasn’t seen her in a while and he just wants to talk.  He asks how her community service is going; Nicole gets uncomfortable, and he notices.  She notices that he is thinking something and questions him; he says he’s noticed that she and Eric are getting along better.  She stands up, tries to blow off his comment; she says she is only doing this for Holly, reminding him that the kiss meant nothing.  Brady says he knows that; he says he trusts her.  She says, sometimes, it doesn’t seem like it.  He tells her he just remembered he has a phone call to make, a conference call, and says she can finish the movie alone.  She scoffs about it being an extremely romantic movie to watch alone; he apologizes and leaves the room.  Nicole tries to call Eric; he doesn’t answer so she goes to see him.

Brady’s call is shorter than he expected and he comes back into the living room to find Nicole gone.  Eric asks Nicole if she has changed her mind about forgiving him; she says no… she just wants to make sure Brady doesn’t find out.  Eric questions why; Nicole says if he knows she has forgiven him, he may think something else is going on between them.  Eric looks at Nicole somewhat longingly; he tells her, “there is nothing good that is not revealed,” quoting from the Bible.  She says she didn’t come for a Sunday School lesson and asks him not to try to change her mind, confirming that he won’t say anything to Brady.  He agrees to keep her confidence.  She says she needs to get going; Brady doesn’t even know she left.  As she walks out the door, she tells Eric to remember that this is their “little secret” and he assures her Brad will hear nothing from him.  Brady stands out in the hallway, listening.  He beats her home and asks where she was.  She looks guilty as hell.

Steve goes to see Joey and tells him “mom got her job back.”  Joey asks why Steve doesn’t seem happy; he says he is, then asks if Joey knows where Tripp might be.  Joey says probably at the hospital.  He tells his dad, getting to know Tripp, he’s become more than a brother – he’s a friend – and Joey feels responsible for his pain.  Steve tells Joey that Tripp would have never had a idealic relationship with his mother, reminding him how messed up she was.  Joey says Tripp is such a good guy, he deserves better; Tripp tells this man he is sitting with that he thinks he knows who really killed his mom; he tells him it was Kayla and it looks like she is totally going to get away with it now.  The man suggests a more conventional approach to his vendetta; Tripp asks what he means and the man exposes a gun in his belt.  Tripp doesn’t know what to say; the man pushes the gun toward him, covered by a napkin and tells him it can’t be traced.  He tells Tripp, he has got to take control; he needs to get rid of them before they figure out that he is a threat.  Tripp shoves the gun back, and tells the man he is going to handle this his way; he gets up from the table and leaves.

Steve tells Joey he is a wonderful person and he can’t squander that on guilt and regret.  He sits down and tells Joey he needs to talk to him about something else; he says the reason he was looking for Tripp was… the phone rings; it’s Kayla.  She tells him about Abigail’s accident and says she is going to stay there at the hospital tonight.  Steve tells Joey that his cousin, Abigail, was hit by a car, and it’s serious; the other conversation is lost for now, I guess.  Joey is saddened by the news of Abigail’s injury; Steve says it’s a good thing they reinstated Kayla when they did.  Joey asks what ever happened with that anyway, questioning if they were right about someone setting her up.  He asks who it was and Steve says, “your brother.”  He tells Joey, “I think Tripp wants to hurt your mom.”  Kayla goes into the lounge to take a nap; Tripp finds her sleeping and grabs a pillow.
