Nicole continues to read the
letters from Eric; Brady comes home and she hides a letter in her purse. He apologizes for being late; he sees that
she’s been crying. She says she was
just looking at the pictures of Holly that Maggie brought back. He kisses her; Maggie comes in and says Tate
had a nightmare. Brady goes to calm
him; Nicole thanks her for the pictures she send of Holly. Maggie wonders if they are a help, or more
hurt… Nicole admits she gets teary looking at them, but says they help. Maggie tells her she is proud of the way she
is handling things, bringing up her work at the Center. Nicole tells Maggie she has forgiven Eric;
Maggie looks like she’s going to cry.
She says she is very happy for her, and for Eric; she asks if Nicole has
told Brady yet. Nicole says she fears
that Brady might think her forgiving Eric means that there is still something
(feelings) there; Maggie asks her if there is.
She says no; she has forgiven him, but that’s all. Maggie asks why she is worried about Brady
then; she says she just doesn’t want to upset him any more and he is so
stressed about what’s going on at Titan, she tells Maggie she sees “no reason for
him to know what happened between Eric and me.” Brady comes downstairs and approaches the door just in time to
hear this part of the discussion. He goes in the room and tells Nicole he wants her to know there isn’t anything she can’t tell him; she
says she knows that and hugs him.
John calls Roman. Roman tells John that last he heard Marlena was on her way home to wait for him; Eric comes in and he asks if he’s heard from his mom – he says no. Eric tells Roman that Nicole has forgiven him; he has a hard time accepting her judgment of him in the first place, he says, but asks what’s next? Eric says nothing is next, just peace; he says he is happy Nicole has agreed that they can be friends again. He knows she is in love with his brother and he is fine with that; Roman isn’t sure he believes him.
Hope tells JJ that Witness Protection says Dario never showed up for his transfer to a safe house; they explain he was turning in some big fish from the drug operation. Rafe sarcastically says it’s really good finally get to know his little brother. JJ wonders what the hell is going on. Raines comes in and tells them that Abigail was a victim of a hit and run; JJ goes to the hospital. Raines tells Rafe and Hope that they need to find Dario now so they can get the son of a bitch that did this to Abby. Rafe is on the phone; he finds out that there was proof in the parking lot that this guy was parked and waiting for Dario. He says, it was going thirty miles an hour when it hit Abigail. He says this is all Dario’s damn fault; he wonders why his brother wouldn’t have come to him when he was in trouble, and why he isn’t calling now. He fears he could already be dead and is sure he will probably never see him again.
Gabi anxiously waits for Chad to return; she says he went looking for Abigail a couple of hours ago. She tells Kate she hasn’t heard from him since he left; she gets the feeling Kate knows what’s going on and asks her what she knows. She says Dario and Abigail told her about the Witness Protection program and she wasn’t going to stop her because it clears the way for he and Gabi. Chad waits outside the window of Abigail’s ER room. He’s panicking because the monitors are going off; Jennifer comes in and he starts crying. He describes to her what happened; how Abigail saved his life. Now he fears she could die because of him. Kayla tells Chad, Jennifer and JJ that Abigail needs surgery; she has suffered severe internal injuries. She warns that the anesthesia could be dangerous, but says, at this point, delaying the surgery would be riskier still. Jennifer and JJ are allowed to go in and see Abby; Chad is told, “it’s family only.” Gabi tells Kate that she thinks she is going to head home; Kate tells her not to leave. Gabi says she can’t sit there waiting to hear that he is with Abigail, and he’s changed his mind; she says for all she knows they could be together right now. Kate tells Gabi she needs to fight for him; she calls Chad. He tells her something terrible has happened; after explaining, she tells him she will be right there. They bring Abigail out of the ER to take her to a room; Chad stops them and kisses her on the cheek. Gabi comes in right after they wheel her bed away; Chad hugs Gabi.
