Jennifer brings Abigail a
Turkey dinner ad a picture of her and Thomas as a newborn; she tells her that
Chad and Thomas are coming over today for Thanksgiving dinner. She says Abigail should tell them she’s
alive today; Abby says she wanted to yesterday when she saw them in the square
but then Gabi showed up and she lost her nerve. They start reminiscing as they go through items in a box. Roman and “mom” (Teresa’s mom?) are putting flowers on Beau’s grave; Kayla joins
them. Roman says the best way to honor
him is by looking out for their family; Teresa’s mom says that’s what “our
brother” would want. Ciara and Shaun visit their mom; they tell her they are
hopeful that she will be able to come home to them one day soon. Their visit gets cut short when an alarm
bell rings and Hope is ushered off to her cell. They leave. Later, Rafe
arrives; Hope is glad to see him but says he should be with his family today. He says he is right where he wants to be; he
tells her that he is working on getting her out, looking for loopholes. He asks how her visit with Ciara and Shawn went; she says it was
good. She says they left a picture;
when she picks it up, she sees that it has been torn… someone tore all their
heads off of the photo. Rafe offers to go talk to the Warden; Hope says no because she already has priorities other
inmates are pissed about. She says she
will handle it herself. He says she
isn’t safe in there.
Claire is getting the pub ready for a family function; she
tells Jade she isn’t welcome. Joey
comes in and Jade grabs his arm; she says maybe someone didn’t tell Ciara the
good news about she and Joey having a baby.
Abe and Theo arrive; when the good doctor shows up as well, Theo isn’t
happy about it. Valerie offers to go
help with the potatoes; Abe says he will help too. Kayla and Steve get there and everyone starts telling what they
are thankful for. The whole clan almost
gets nauseous at once when Jade mentions the baby growing inside of her and
hangs onto Joey; Kayla says they were going to keep it a secret until the test
results came back. After dinner,
Valerie makes a phone call off in the corner, to her son, telling him she had a
lovely turkey dinner with some friends; she looks at Abe. Kayla gets the results of Jade’s pregnancy
test; it’s positive. Joey suggests
maybe they should let Jade come and stay at their house; Kayla reluctantly
agrees.
Gabi shows up at Jennifer’s with a present and Arianna; Chad answered
the door and is surprised she isn’t with her family. She says everyone else is busy; Rafe is visiting Hope and others
are going to eat at the diner, so they brought Thomas’ birthday present. Julie says she is surprised to see Chad
there, and then says that she just lost her appetite… looking straight at
Gabi. Chad tells her that JJ loves Gabi
and she needs to be more respectful because of that; Julie reminds everyone
that Gabi shot and killed her cousin.
Chad remarks and Hope killed his father; Julie says he deserved it, and
Douglas referees, saying they both need to cool it and get along for the sake
of Thomas’ birthday and Thanksgiving.
He tells them to put aside their differences and enjoy the day. JJ comes back in the room and says it’s
almost time for dinner. He says he
going to tell his mom to give up looking for Grandma’s gravy boat in the attic;
Chad tells him to stay and spend some time with Gabi, and he’ll go get
Jennifer.
He hollers up the stairs to
the attic, telling her dinner is almost ready.
He asks if she needs help bringing anything down. Jennifer comes down the stairs with a
stuffed elephant that she and Jack gave to Abigail for her first birthday; she
says she is positive Abigail would want Thomas to have it. She welcomes Gabi when she sees her, saying
she is thrilled she is there; Julie steps forward and offers an apology to Gabi
“in the spirit of the day” and proceeds to tell how grateful she is for her
family (those that are there and those that aren’t). During the opening of Thomas’ presents, Abby decides to come down
the stares, but darts back up when she sees Gabi; Chad thinks he sees her and
gets up. Jennifer swears everyone who
is there, is right there in the living room; JJ offers to go up to the attic to
get a toy for Ariana and finds Abigail.
