Roman gives directions to
the officers at the police station to ‘kill’ anything they don’t need – they
are trying to conserve energy on their generators; a call comes in… someone
just tried to rob another gas station.
Roman says it is going to be one hell of a long night. Abe asks what happened; John describes an
incident in ‘the alley,’ where Clyde Weston was holding Kate at gunpoint,
Orphius was about to shoot Marlena and maybe Claire; John managed to wound
Orphius, he says, but they all managed to get away.
At the warehouse, Clyde demeans Milo/Orphius and his
inability to kill even one of the women on their hit-list. He blames Clyde for ending up in a shootout,
but Clyde says he’s the one who blew it.
Clyde says he has a plan; Milo asks if he is taking over…then says he
doesn’t like his idea. Clyde suggests
getting another hostage; Milo agrees.
The PD prepares to make public announcements; Rafe and Hope eat a
homemade meal (prepared by his mother).
Deimos gets the news that he is not the baby’s father – but he doesn’t
believe it – he wants proof that the results aren’t fake. The doctor says he can take the samples and
do his own test, but he assures him, he is not the father. As he and Chloe hug, Philip recalls his
conversation with his mother, arranging for the proof of paternity. Then Kate shows up and says she’s sorry;
after explaining her eventful day, she says she never got around to switching
the test. Philip asks Chloe what’s
going on; she claims she doesn’t know.
He tells her to quit playing games with him; he demands to know who the
father really is (since he has not slept with her). She tells him it makes no sense; she can’t tell him the truth. He walks away, saying what a fool he’s
been.
Abe asks John for his version of the events; Theo shows up at the station. Abe puts him off, momentarily, and Theo wanders to a therapy room
where he used to spend time with his mom.
He meets a random kid in there, and gives him some encouragement – tells
him, you just have to hang in there.
When his dad comes in, he tells him about the lights going out while he
was watching the kids at the DeMira mansion; he says he didn’t do good… he
panicked and didn’t comfort the kids.
His dad assured him that his just being there helped more than he knows;
he hugs him and tells him that he doesn’t tell him often enough, but he is so
very proud of him. Theo gets
emotional. Nicole asked Deimos if he
remembered his promise to her, to drop it if this test proved he wasn’t the
father. She tells him she doesn’t want
to quit trusting him; she tells him she is there for him. She tells him she loves him; they kiss,
preparing to make love.
Aiden asks Hope
and Rafe to come in and talk to him about Steffano DeMira’s case… he says he
could put this case to rest, or dig a little deeper, looking at Hope (like a
creep). He suggests that he knows
something; Hope gets nervous. He leaves
the room, leaving his phone recording; Hope and Rafe discuss the fact that she
murdered Steffano and involved him in the cover-up. They inform Abe that Aiden is still digging into the case, and
when Abe asks him why, he says he had some questions but they cleared
everything up; nothing for the grand jury, he says. He picks up his phone, still recording. The escaped convicts discuss grabbing Teresa or Nicole, to get a
big ransom; Xander says they could hide out at one of his family’s
estates…because they will all be dead.
As Chloe waits in the doctor’s office, it dawns on her who the baby’s
daddy may be – she looks horrified.
Deimos tells Nicole (as they sit, naked in bed) that he feels she is
finally there to stay; admitting she had a hard time wrapping her head around
that, she says, yes, actually… she is.
