Philip tells his mom that he
really appreciates her help; he hangs up the phone and tells Chloe that his
mother is going to see a doctor (who “owes” her)… Kate calls the doctor and
tells him she will be right over; she expects him to let her into the lab to
change the paternity test results.
Philip says, his mom will work her magic with Dr. Wright and everything
will be okay. As she walks through an
alley; Clyde shows up and grabs her by the arm. She gets away and pulls a gun out of her purse; Milo shows up and
takes the gun from her. Clyde holds it
up to her face and clicks off the safety.
Deimos and Nicole talk about the baby; he promises her if the results
say Philip is the dad, he will drop the whole thing.
John, Marlena and Paul talk about the shooting; John says if
Steve hadn’t been wearing that bulletproof vest he would be dead right
now. Paul says it’s a good thing Steve
was a step ahead, but its too bad they didn’t see Joey’s kidnapping
coming. John assures his family that he
has come up with a plan to keep them all safe, but when he says everyone has to
stay right there, Claire jumps up and proclaims that she needs to find
somewhere with power (to charge up her tablet), or she can kiss her career
goodbye; (remember, the electricity has been cut off to the entire town). John tells Claire that if she doesn’t do as
he says, she can kiss her life goodbye.
Kayla tries to clean up (looking at a broken coffee mug, she jumps when
Steve opens the door)… Steve asks if she’s okay; she tells him she is worried
that Orphius may kill their son. She
explains, she thought he was dead – like it was in slow-motion, she said, she
could see every bullet going into his chest.
She asks what is going to stop Orphius from killing Joey; Steve assures
her that Joey is no good to him dead; he needs a bargaining chip. He tells her everything will be okay.
Meanwhile, Joey is tied up to a chair,
looking extremely weary. Orpius (Milo)
tells Joey his dad had it coming – adding it’s not every day a kid sees his old
man gunned down in front of him. Tells
Xander to keep an eye on Joey while he goes out, and tells Joey that he better
be careful because Xander is a little bit unhinged. Xander sits down in the chair in front of Joey, and says he’s
right (holding the gun up and pretending to shoot Joey, saying one wrong move
and he’ll be dead as dear-old-dad).
Nicole and Deimos are at the diner eating sandwiches; she is upset that
he had Chloe served with a court order for a paternity test. She reminds him that she begged him over and
over not to pressure her about the baby – adding that she is already under too
much pressure; she tells Deimos Chloe has been through leukemia, which totally
compromised her immune system. She asks
how he knew about the doctor’s appointment; he admits he had her followed. Nicole tells Deimos that if anything happens
to this baby because of the tests, she will never forgive him.
