Will suggests they call Marlena to tell her what Paul suspects about his
father; Paul begs him to wait until he knows what’s going on for sure. Marlena comes into the Pub to find John
sitting at a booth; she asks what happened, saying he looks like he just lost
his best friend. John gets told he has an autoimmune disease, the likes of
which the doctor has never seen; he says there is no cure. Will calls his mom and asks her to come by
later. Paul tells Will he is worried
about his dad’s past with the DeMiras; he begs him to give him a little
time. Marlena knocks on the door; he
stays in the doorway and tells her that he gave divorce papers to Sonny. She finds it odd that he won’t let her in;
he says he is just tired and wants to lay down. Will tells Paul that he wants to help him figure this out. Tripp walks in on Sierra and Claire
fighting; he stops them and tells them they “suck.” A few minutes later, he comes back in and they are smiling; they
have decided to settle their differences and get along, for his sake.
Victor tells Brady they need to talk about the “harlot” he has sleeping in his bed; he tells his grandfather to leave him alone about Eve. He promises he isn’t falling in love with her. Eve gives Sonny advice, telling him that sometimes you just have to give up; Sonny says he is never giving up on love. He mocks her, telling her that Brady is just using her to get back and “Uncle Vic” and she says maybe she’s just using him. She leaves the room in a huff. When Sonny tells his Uncle he wants to fight the divorce, Victor tells him to forget it. When Eve tries to tell Brady she wants to break things off with him, he tells her that he thinks he might be falling for her, and asks her out on a date.
Marlena receives a phone call telling her that Anna and Roman have been arrested. John says it is possible she is being set up, but tells Marlena that he can’t go into details. Marlena realizes this is the case he’s been working on; he tells her its “safer” if he keeps it to himself. Kayla and Steve come into the Pub and tell John about Steve’s “disease.” John hugs Steve and tells him that he wishes there is something he could do. As Steve and Kayla hug each other in the park, John ‘accidentally’ drops the new vial and breaks it.
