Apologies... Thank you for Your Patience; January 30, 2018 (Tuesday)

I missed a couple full months, and some episodes here and there for the past six months, but I've tried to keep up, somewhat.  I'll be posting ALOT of episodes all at once over the coming days to try to catch up with the ones I was able to watch.  Still working on my dissertation, though, so I might still be a while before I'm current again.  Apologies to all of you who also missed these episodes... hopefully, we can all get back on track before long!

So, after the holidays, Sonny sends a package to Will, then shows up at his door.  He confronts Will about moving into the building with Paul; he says he cousin owns it, and he gave him a great deal.  Sonny asks why he didn’t just stay with him, if money was an issue; Will says he couldn’t stay as a kept man.  He isn’t “that guy who leaches off of someone else” he says; he wants to be who he is right now, and he wants to be accepted for that.  Sonny tells him he still feels the same about him; Will says that’s why he had to move out, because he couldn’t keep giving him hope for a future when he doesn’t feel that way.  He hands Sonny divorce papers; Sonny is upset when Will says he knows this is hard, mocking him for not having a problem getting on with his life.  “Just a wave of a pen, and poof…” Sonny says.  Will apologizes for not being able to be the man that he loved; Sonny tells him he will remember the love they shared one day, as well as Ari.  He tells him, when he does, he’ll know everything is true.

Steve is having trouble with his vision; everything is blurry.  He’s gotten glasses, which seemed to help temporarily, but it is continuing to get worse.  Paul overhears his father on the phone; John tells somebody that Steve would never suspect that “his best friend is poisoning him.”  Paul pretends that he didn’t hear, he sees John holding a vial of liquid and asks his father what’s going on.  John tells him it’s just “homeopathic eye drops.”  Paul isn’t really buying it; he stops by Will’s later and tells him that he thinks his father is doing something terrible to Steve.  A man shows up and gives another vial to John; he tells John it doesn’t matter if Steve is his friend, he just needs to “get the job done.”

Lani is pregnant; JJ is thrilled because he thinks it is his… but it may not be.  Eli’s mom asks him if he is certain that child isn’t his; he hesitates to answer.  JJ meets a new doctor, Henry; he says he has dated Jennifer, which surprises JJ.  He says he’s been kind of busy lately.   When Kayla comes in with Steve, asking Henry to take a look at him, she and Lani do their best to convince JJ to leave; Kayla tells him this is a boring appointment and he isn’t needed.  Kayla seems disappointed that JJ thinks the baby is his; Lani makes it clear that he is to believe it is.  She has made up her mind; she doesn’t want Eli “stepping up just to be noble” and says “this is the right thing to do.”  Eli tells Valerie that he believes Lani; the baby isn’t his.  She insists that he make sure; he brings up the fact that she kept his father a secret from him.  She looks shocked.  She tells him that she knows he would be a wonderful father, and she just doesn’t want him to miss out, if the baby is his.  When Kayla comes out and sets the files on the counter, Valerie sneaks over and steals Lani’s file; she seems to confirm her suspicions when she opens the file.

Jennifer goes to see Eric, who is still hiding out at a cabin somewhere.  She tells him that his father has gone off on a quest to save Anna; she convinces Eric it is not a big deal and that he should trust his dad in the choice he’s making, drawing a comparison between he and Hope, with what Roman is doing for Anna.  He agrees not to worry.
