10-23-2017 (Monday) "Stop!"

Steve tells Kayla that Hattie “knows more than she was saying.”  Kayla suggest they sit down for a little while and think about this; he says okay, but then they are doing this his way.  He says Adrian never even liked Victor; there’s no way she could be in love with him.  He is sure something else is going on now; they realize that “Maggie might be the key.”  They talk more about all the weird stuff people have been saying about “Adrian” and suddenly Steve gets it.

Maggie says she is “putting an end to this charade.”  Bonnie tells her they have plans and “this time” Maggie is not going to screw it up.  Maggie is suspicious after this and insists “Adrian” tell her what she means by it; she says she just means that so many weddings get interrupted in Salem.  Maggie says no… she personalized it.  Bonnie tells her to leave; she says she’s not budging.  Bonnie says she can watch then, telling Sheila to “skip to the vows.”  Sheila is nervous, never having “married people before” and fumbles with the paper book.  Maggie tells her it’s okay; “Victor and Adrian aren’t getting married,” she says.  Bonnie says they are to, and tells Victor to tell them how much he loves her.  Justin nods his head at Victor; Victor says, “to hell I do.”  Bonnie is stunned.  He makes it clear that he wants nothing to do with “Adrian” – she quietly asks him if he really wants to do this – he does; Bonnie turns and tells everyone that Victor is going to prison for putting a hit out on his own brother.  Maggie tells her, they all know this… they’ve been talking behind the scenes for a while and figured out her scheme (Victor told Maggie about the blackmail threat) and they support him.  Maggie says she is standing by Victor; the divorce papers were fake.  Bonnie says she still has Xander; Victor tells her that Xander is gone… free as a bird and vanished in a puff of smoke… just like her dreams.  Just as Justin says, “you are not the Adrian I know and love, Steve and Kayla walk in; Steve says, “You’ve got that right.”  He says there’s a long list of things that don’t add up about her; he tells every one “this woman is not my sister.”  He says her name is Bonnie Lockhardt; Bonnie smirks.

Sammi storms over and yells at Andre for not calling her when he found Dr. Rolf; Kate sides with her, saying she had a right to know.  Sammi wants to know when he heard from this Dr. Rolf, and what he said he did with Will.  Andre says she doesn’t have to worry; he tells them both, he has placed the whole matter in Hope’s capable hands now.  Dr. Rolf is shocked to see the woman who shot the “great Steffano DiMira in cold blood; she tells him to imagine what she’ll do to him, if he doesn’t tell her what happened to Will Horton.  The doctor pretends not to know what Hope is talking about, but she tells him not to play games with her.  Sammi isn’t sure Hope can handle this Rolf; Andre said he wanted to handle this himself, but someone convinced him the authorities would better handle it.  Sammi asks what “moron would say that” and Kate admits it was she.  Just as Hope is about to put cuffs on Dr. Rolf and escort him to the station, Sammi comes rushing in, grabs her gun and says Rolf isn’t going anywhere until he tells her what he did with Will.  Hope tries to stop her, but not real hard.  Sammi steps forward and smacks him across the face with the gun; he falls to the floor.  She tells him, “now, start talking.”  Hope calls for backup; Sammi tells Rolf that he better talk before she hears sirens or they are going to come in and find a dead body.  She asks Rolf about his “intervention” with Will; he tells her, things aren’t always as they appear.  He brags about his ability to do something like bring Will back; Sammi is pretty sure he admits to Steffano putting him up to this.   He says "Steffano wasn’t behind Will’s resurrection"; Sammi calls that an admittance of the act.  Will must be alive, it appears.

Eric tells her that Nicole was determined to tell Brady the truth, then come back and be with him.  He says he fears Brady had something to do with the change in her heart.  Jen tells Eric that Nicole told her they really wanted to be together, but she couldn’t bring herself to tell Brady and break his heart like that, so she figured the best thing to do was leave; she says she had the feeling that Nicole was leaving town right away.  Eric tells Jen about Brady trying to force him to fire Nicole; he’s pretty sure he did the same thing to Nicole.  He says, all his dreams came true, and morphed into a nightmare the same day.  Jennifer tells him he will get through this; she tells him he still has her, and a lot of other people who love him and won’t let him down.  She asks him to come back to Salem.  He says he isn’t really ready for that yet; she fills him in on the current news about Ben’s claim.  She says his parents need him, and the Center needs him; he agrees that he can’t lock himself up again.  He hugs Jen and kisses her forehead.  As he starts to pack his things, he pauses over a picture of Nicole; he puts it in the box with the others and leaves it on the desk.
