09-05-2017 (Tuesday) Gabi Is in Trouble

Hope repeats herself, asking Adrian if she heard what she said about Angelika being found dead in her room at the Salem Inn.  She tells “Adrian” she looks pale and asks if she is okay, mentioning that last week, she told her she had a clean bill of health.  “Adrian” says she is okay, stumbling over the words, calling it medical mumbo jumbo; she says she is healthy as a horse, then laughs about that saying.  Hope asks what’s really going on here; she tells Adrian she is concerned about her.  Justin comes in; he asks what’s going on.  Hope mentions Angelika again, saying they’ll talk about it tomorrow.  Just asks, “what about Angelika?”  “Adrian” tells him, “apparently, she dropped dead.”  Justin questions what the woman was doing in her room… and in her bed?  He says he knows she was trying to call a truce; maybe that’s why she was there.  Hope says maybe, but that doesn’t explain why she would have taken off her clothes and gotten in her bed.  “Adrian”” claims to be just as confused as they are; after Hope leaves, Justin asks “Adrian” if there is something she isn’t telling him.  She hesitates, but then swears, on their children, that she did not see Angelika last night; he questions why she would let him into the room last night when he came to get her.  She starts going on about still be embarrassed by her body, not really answering the question at all; he feels bad and stops questioning her.  He says, “this is really bizarre” though, adding that he never would have wished this on her, despite what a horrible person she was.

After Gabi hears Raines, she turns around and says she doesn’t even know what any of that was, and she’s just going to go now; he grabs her and tells her she isn’t going anywhere.  He holds a gun to her head; Eli and Rafe head to the Club to retrieve the package Dario told Rafe he sent there.  They find the tape torn and the door unlocked; they go in with guns drawn.  Nobody is there; Rafe finds Gabi’s purse on the floor and recognizes it.  Eli finds the opened envelope; Rafe says damn it.  Raines takes Gabi back to his place, I guess; he tells her his plan would have worked if it weren’t for her snitch of a brother.  He pulls out his gun again and keeps on bitching about everything Dario did; Gabi asks if he can blame Dario for running.  Raines says no, and tells her he should be afraid of him; Gabi stands up and tells Raines she isn’t afraid of him.  He tells her she should be; she says only a coward gets behind the wheel of a car and runs someone down; then she tells him that Abby has more courage then he’ll ever have.  He slaps her and knocks her onto the couch.  Rafe and Eli go back to the station; he tells JJ that Gabi never picked up Arianna from daycare.  Rafe tells Hope, “if Raine’s hurts Gabi… I swear to God.”  Hope interrupts; she says they will find her.  Raines tells Gabi he has had enough; he says she has to go.  He cocks the gun and holds it to Gabi’s head.

Steve brings Tripp into the hospital to talk to Kayla; Tripp tells her that he wants to donate all of his mother’s money to the hospital.  Kayla tells him that’s very nice, but there’s no way in hell she is going to accept it.  Tripp is stunned, and disappointed; he leaves.  Steve asks Kayla what’s going on; she tells him she saw him celebrating with Tripp earlier.  He questions her refusal of the donation; she tells him it’s “blood money” and she doesn’t want anything to do with it.  She says, “that woman cost me my son.”  He tells her how sorry he is for everything; he says he regrets all the years of Joey’s life that he missed.  Kayla reminisces and starts to cry; Steve just stands there.  He eventually hugs her, and then does his best to convince her to accept Tripp’s offer.  After some persuading, she agrees to take the donation.

Claire comes home from work early to find Theo getting out of the shower; she looks at him in the towel with a bit of desire.  He gets dressed; Claire says they need to talk about getting another roommate.  She says “Mr. Wrinkley” stopped her on the way up and said they have until Friday to pay the rent.  Theo doesn’t want to talk about it; a knock comes to the door.  Theo answers it; it’s Tripp.  He tells them that he is moving; since he’s donating all of his money to charity, he says, he has to cut expenses and find a cheaper place to live.  Claire smiles; she tells him she knows the perfect place for him to live, and suggests he move in there with her and Theo.  Theo stands behind him, looking irritated; Claire just smiles.  She pulls Theo aside and asks what his deal is; he admits that he is pissed.  She says the question is why… she smiles again.  Then she tells him, bluntly, they need to pay the rent, they have an empty room right now, and asks if he would rather they lose the apartment.  He concedes.  Tripp says that’s awesome and goes to pack his stuff; Claire is still smiling.  Theo says, “you like him, don’t you?”  She says yes she does, then asks again why that bothers him, if they are just friends.
