Victor comes to the square
to find Justin; he asks how the wedding went.
Just says there was a bit of a hitch in the ceremony, because of
him. Victor says good for him; he asks
what Adrian said. Justin remarks that
he’s sitting there talking to him, so…not so good. Ann sits at a table in the bar; she sees Lucas leaning up against
the counter. She tells him to come have
a drink with her; she’s been drinking alone since Teresa left. She says drinks are on her; he says “you
have no idea how bad I need one.” He
then shows her his chip, stating 7 years, 1 month and 28 days. She takes the Mai Tai she got for him and
slurps it down; she asks how someone could be so stupid as to leave him at the
altar.
Sonny takes his mother home;
she stresses over the situation. She says
this is so typical, Justin always makes things about him. She asks how he could possibly think that
was a good idea; Sonny admits that he encouraged him to do it. Not that he wanted him to burst in and stop
the wedding; he says he just told him that he needed to let her know his true
feelings. Adrian starts crying over how
Lucas must feel because she couldn’t take those last steps down the isle; she
says she loves them both and can’t make a decision. He decides to help her; he calls both Justin and Lucas to come to
the room. Adrian asks what’s going on;
Sonny says she didn’t want this to go on and on… she needs to make a
decision. He says no one leaves until
she’s decided; he walks out and closes the door. They agree that they will each have a turn to plead their case to
Adrian; the men play ‘rock, paper, scissors’ to decide who speaks first. Lucas wins and chooses to go last. Justin tells her how well he knows her, etc. Lucas tells her that’s a hard speech to
follow, but he tells her he went to the pub and stared at a bottle of liquor
for a long time… and he thought about her and Justin. Their love, he says, is like an addiction; exciting at first, but
he’ll just hurt you again. He says
Justin is her past; he is her future.
Still she has a hard time deciding. Dumb.
JJ tells Rafe that he and Gabi are not together anymore; Chad and Gabi
are kissing passionately. They stop,
momentarily. Chad says this is exactly
what he was trying to avoid; Gabi asks why they are trying to avoid it. He shakes his head, saying “I don’t
know.” They start kissing again. Rafe asks JJ why they broke up; he tells him
and asks if he is going to hit him. He
says no. The phone rings; Chad and Gabi
manage to pull themselves apart. She
checks her text; it’s the babysitter… they suddenly decide again that this
feels wrong. They are both on the
rebound; they can’t bring their kids into a relationship like that, they
say. It would be worse if they get any
closer than they are already and then it didn’t work out. They decide to slow things down for
now. She asks if that means days or
weeks, or what… he says he doesn’t know.
He tells her she needs to talk to JJ because avoiding him won’t make things
any better; she asks if he thinks she should get back with JJ. He wants to kiss her again and she knows
it. She says she’ll see him later; Chad
says goodbye, and sits down, leaning back in exhaustion. JJ tells Rafe he is going to do everything
he can to win Gabi back; as he tells Rafe he is going to be a better man and
hopes one day Gabi can forgive him, she walks in. She lets him know she will never be able to forgive him; still,
he tries again, asking her if she can’t give him another chance. He may have talked her into it this
time.
Jennifer tries to talk Abby into
going to tell Chad that she is alive; she says she left so that Chad could be
happy, and she asks what if Gabi makes him happy? A knock on a door; Abby hides… it’s Andre. He says it’s time the world knows the
truth. He says he is ready to make a
statement about the news of Hope’s sentencing for his father’s death; he notes
that Jennifer is rather desperate to get him out of her house. She agrees to take his statement; he wanders
in to the living room and asks if she has company. She says just her and JJ; he asks for a drink of water. He takes the fork laying on the coffee table
and tells her nevermind about the water; he has to go. Abby decides to sneak out; she runs into
Andre and asks when she was going to share her plans with the man who helped
her fake her death. He asks her if she
doesn’t think it’s time to show herself to her husband and let him know she’s
alive. She says she can’t do that,
because of Gabi. Aiden talks her into
it; she decides it’s time to show herself to Chad. As they walk through the square, Abigail sees Chad with Thomas in
the stroller; she starts to turn away,
but Andre grabs her and says it is fate… it’s time he says.
