Rafe makes arrangements for the exhumation of
Will’s grave; Sammi says she needs to be doing something, not standing around
waiting and asks Rafe if they can get out of there. They go back to the station; he gets a call when the grave is
exhumed and is told that it is EMPTY.
Sammi gets excited and says she has to find her son. Paul gets a call from Sonny, who says he is
about to get out of the hospital. He
asks where Paul is; Paul looks over at the man behind the bar, who looks like
Will… he tells Sonny he isn’t far away and he will “be right there.” Sonny gets to the hospital to pick Sonny up
and apologizes to Paul for not listening to him before; he proudly pulls out his
engagement ring and puts it back on – it looks like Paul wants to tell him
about that bartender, but when Sonny says, “let’s go home; let’s get married,”
Paul only smiles. But before they walk
out the door, Paul tells Sonny to wait and says, “I can’t marry you.” Sonny apologizes for the hesitation; he says
he is ready now to move on… he says, “Will is my past; you are my future” but
Paul tells him that’s not true. He
says, “Will is alive.” He tells Sonny
where he can find him; but when Sonny gets there, this supposed Will doesn’t appear to recognize
Sonny.
Claire rubs her feet after she
and Tripp get off of work; she tells Tripp that she didn’t realize how hard
waiting tables was and when she is rich, she is going to be “the biggest
tipper.” Tripp tells her he has no
doubt she will be one day; he invites her to go out with him but she says she
and Theo have “a thing tonight.” Tripp
goes to the Pub where he finds his dad.
Steve says he can tell Tripp is “hung up on somebody” and wants to know
whom it is. JJ gets a call, just as he and Lani are getting off duty and preparing
to go out; there’s been a break-in at the new Club, he’s told. They go to check it out; they enter with
guns drawn… it’s a surprise birthday party for Lani. All of their family and friends are there – seemed a little risky
to me, but okay. JJ tells Lani he took
the clip out of her gun, so it wouldn’t “put a damper on the party if" she shot
somebody.
At the party, Claire gets
upset with Theo again when he tells her he’s emailed the company he bought the
follows from and they’ll be un-following her soon; he doesn’t understand
why. She makes it clear that Tripp
does. Lani brings Theo a piece of cake; he tells her that he did something to try to help Claire and she got mad at
him for it, and then he undid it and she got mad at him for that too. She tells
him feelings are complicated and he needs to let Claire explain herself to him,
but when she says she is ready to go, he wants to stay to talk to his dad. She gets even more upset when he comes out and says he has
something important to do, so he can’t go home with her; she takes that to me
that he doesn’t think ‘they’ are important.
Steve suggests to Tripp that he might want to move out because of the
feelings he obviously has for Claire; Steve warns him that “triangles” never
work out, recalling the fight between he and Bo that cost him his eye. Tripp says he can handle it and promises not
to hurt Theo. Kate reminds Theo that it is imperative that Chad NOT know he is
doing this work for her (Theo is obviously not comfortable with keeping
secrets, but he agrees) and tells Kate he will do whatever she needs to help
Chad keep the company for Thomas. Andre acts appalled to think that Chad
doesn’t trust him; he asks Abigail if she also thinks he’s guilty of trying to
sabotage the company… she says she doesn’t believe he would do that. Kate lets Andre know that she stands with
Chad; Andre says, then, “it’s time for full disclosure.” He says he took measures to implement
certain measures “for DeMira, not against it.”
Abigail says she believes him; he asks Chad and Kate whether they do or
not. Neither of them answer for a
moment, but then, Chad says, “I believe you.”
He looks at Kate and says, “I do… I believe him.” They decide to work together to try to
figure out who is really attempting to sabotage their family’s company.
Chad ponders; he says this feels more
personal than like business… JJ and Lani are in bed and JJ gets another call
about a break in. It’s for real, this
time, he says; someone attempts to enter the security code at the mansion. Lani and JJ see a figure go around the
corner; they follow. Abe toasts to
“very nearly the perfect night” as he and Valerie sip some champagne. Kate calls Theo and tells him she doesn’t
want him “to go ahead with the mission” as she thinks “it might be too
dangerous,” but he doesn't get her call. JJ catches up with the
would-be burglar in the Square; he tells him to stop as he reaches the
fountain. The man appears to be holding
a gun; JJ says he doesn’t want to shoot him, but will if he has to. The man, who we now see is Theo, turns
around –with what looks like a toy laser gun in his hand- JJ shoots; Theo falls
to the ground.
