Abigail walks in to see Sammi kissing
Chad; Chad pulls away and says she caught him by surprise. Abigail asks Sammi if that was “payback” for
the affair she had with EJ; Sammi just smiles.
Chad suggests they just forget it happened; Sammi apologizes and
agrees. They talk about this Dr. Rolf;
Chad says he’s checking on it. Andre
walks in and asks why he should help her; he says he wouldn’t have agreed if
he’d known it was “this woman” they were helping. He wishes her luck and says it will be on her own dime and not
theirs; Abigail tells Andre to stop as he tries to leave the room. She asks him to do it for her, not for
Sammi; he agrees.
Steve goes to the prison to talk to Hattie; she comes in and
asks him “what’s shakin’?” He asks her
what she did to his sister; she plays dumb.
She denies doing anything; he says “it’s like someone has taken over her
body or something.” He tells her what
she’s been doing, now “hooking up with Victor, a man she’s hated her whole
life.” Hattie asks what’s so strange
about that; she says, “she could end up with a lot of dough.” He asks Hattie about their little “therapy
session” and demands to know the “real story.” She still insists she doesn’t know anything; Steve storms
out. Adrian sees him as he disappears through
the doorway; she runs after him and calls out to him, but is stopped by the
guards of course. Hattie tells Adrian
what Bonnie is doing with her life; Adrian says it doesn’t make any sense. She begs Hattie to please help her stop
this; Hattie goes back to playing solitaire.
Adrian says Steve is going to figure it out anyway; it’s only a matter
of time. Hattie recalls that “Patch”
said he would make her pay… she agrees to help Adrian. She gives Adrian her
phone card; Adrian makes a call.
Justin asks “Adrian” to explain her self; she
says she can’t. She says she just woke up the other morning and said to
herself, “wow, I’m in love with Victor.”
He asks if Victor actually feels the same way; if she is sure of his
feelings. She tells him to go ask himself,
and walks back in the room to see Victor and Maggie kissing; she screams, “what
in the hell is going on?” Victor looks
guilty at first, then plays along, telling Maggie to “get off” him, saying he
told her it was over; Adrian sits down next to Victor. He says they “all know why this is
happening, so let’s just get on with it.”
He pulls out a folder with divorce papers in it; Maggie begins to cry
when he asks her to sign them. “No time
like the present,” he says. Maggie
refuses to sign them; she says he’ll get a divorce over her dead body. She asks Justin to represent her; he looks
over the papers and says Victor was “more than generous” and suggests she just
sign the papers; she does. After she
leaves, Bonnie asks Victor how much money he gave her and why so much; he asks
what her problem with Maggie is anyway.
She just tells him all he needs to worry about is her; she says she
wants to get married TODAY and tells him she is going to get ready. Justin tells “Adrian” that he knows
something is going on; she shrugs her shoulders. His phone rings, but he ignores it; Adrian, on the payphone,
pleads for him to pick up the phone.
“Adrian” asks if he isn’t going to answer his phone; he just stares at
her.
Theo and Claire talk about making love again; she tells him that Tripp is
“at work.” Theo is a little upset when
she says she put in a good word for him at the diner; Kayla sits at a table in
the Square, and Tripp asks if he can get her a cup of coffee. She ends up telling him that she doesn’t
want things to be uncomfortable for him anymore; she is going to tell Steve
that she accepts him as part of their family.
Theo tells Claire that he doesn’t want her working with Tripp and gets
pouty; Claire tells him to stop and swears he is the only one she wants to be
with. He tells her she’s the only one
for him too; they decide to make love right there on the couch. Steve finds Kayla at the table; he says
Hattie stonewalled him, but he knows that she knows why Adrian hasn’t been her
self lately.
