Jade apparently passed out while on the
stairs; they end up taking her to the hospital for tests. The results show that she is “loaded with
opiods” (in other words, she is abusing her pills); Joey looks shocked, saying
they talked about this. Jade claims she
must have just forgotten and taken an extra pill; Kayla says this is way beyond
one extra pill. Kayla says they will
keep her overnight for observation; Joey holds her hand. Kayla, outside of the room, tells Joey that
she is afraid he is still send Jade mixed signals; Joey says he is all she has
right now.
Abe talks
to Valerie; she tells him since Eli has decided to stay in Salem, she is
staying too. She says she has to go do
something and says she’ll see him later.
She goes and asks Kayla if her offer to work as a cardiologist at the
hospital full-time is still on the table; Kayla says of course, hugs her and
says she is glad to have her on the team.
Abe runs into Eli and asks if he can talk to him for a minute; even
though he really doesn’t want to, Eli talks to him. He tells Abe, he cannot forgive his mother; he is glad that Abe
is there for her, because he can’t be.
Abe goes to see Valerie and tells her that he spoke to Eli; he says he
probably didn’t get anywhere, but he learned that he likes fighting for
her. He says that’s the kind of
rewarding feeling you get fighting for people you love; Valerie admits that she
loves Abe too, and they kiss.
Steve
talks to Kayla about Trip; he says he is asking a lot of questions about his
mother, and he’s not gonna like the answers.
He buys sandwiches and takes them home; Tripp asks how he got the eye
patch…he says, he lost it fighting with his best friend, over a girl, when they
were in the military together. Tripp
asks about his mom; Steve tells him she was from an Italian family, her father
was a mob boss, and he didn’t know Ava had even gotten pregnant. He tells him that she showed up a few years
ago and told him that her father had given their child up for adoption; they
went looking for him, got told he was dead, and here he is. Tripp asks when he will meet his mother;
Steve hesitates. He tells Tripp that
his mom is dead; Tripp asks when. Steve
says after they went looking for him, about a year ago; he tells Tripp he
killed her.
JJ tells Chad that he needs some answers from him, but Chad says he
has no proof that it was Deimos. He
says he is sure it was, but he doesn’t have any evidence linking him to the
kidnapping; besides he says, this was personal, and the response should be
personal. JJ tells him taking the law
into his own hands is not a good idea; Chad asks how else Abigail and Gabi are
going to get justice. He leaves. Deimos is approached by a man, who shows him
a gun and says he has the go-ahead to “do” him right there, after commenting
what a long break his body guard and driver are taking; the man grabs Deimos by
the arm and leads him away.
Deimos sits, now tied to a chair himself, in an
empty warehouse; in walks Chad. Chad
tells Deimos he can’t even grasp how his mind works; putting poison into the
veins of two innocent women, with children, because his ego was hurt. Deimos refers to Chad’s kidnapping as “being
inconvenienced for a few days” and that pisses Chad off; he tells him he
crossed the line. Deimos says that’s
what you do when you want someone to sit up an pay attention; Chad brings up
Nicole. Deimos screams at him to shut
up; Chad smiles, and says, “there it is.”
Chad thanks him for his time and gets up; he then sits back down and
tells him he now understands where all this pain and anger boiling up inside is
coming from. He pulls out a gun and
puts it to Deimos’ throat; he says aside from being very messy, it would get
rid of all that pain, and asks Deimos what he thinks. Chad tells him he will let him live, but he wants a promise of no
more violence; Deimos agrees. Chad thanks
him and tells him good luck getting out of there; he leaves.
JJ arrests Deimos’ henchman; he reads him a list of prior charges, adding to it that he is looking at life in prison. The man looks at him; JJ says, if he gives them Deimos Kariakis, he will let him walk. He says Deimos would find him and turn him into shark food, so he wants a lawyer; JJ says fine, but he says, he is going down and Deimos is going down with him.
