Gabi talks to Thomas,
worrying about Ariana, when Chad walks in with her; Gabi grabs her baby girl
and thanks Chad. She tells Chad she is
worried about JJ; he reassures her he will be fine, he is trained to deal with
these kinds of things. The alarm goes
off; Thomas cries. Chad assures Gabi
every thing is okay; they compliment each other’s skills with the
children. Gabi talks about her
relationship with JJ, how she never wanted to be dating a cop, and how Julie
doesn’t like her (because of Nick) and now that she’s living at Jennifer’s,
Gabi says, it’s just uncomfortable. She
reminds Chad that he also has to give himself a chance to love again; Gabi
revels in the silence after the sirens stop.
Chad says he is very content, just sitting there with their kids,
enjoying the silence together; Gabi says Abby would be proud that they have
worked out their differences and become friends. Chad tells her he is glad she is there. They fall asleep leaning up against each other; Chad puts his arm
around her.
Hope tells Marlena that
Rafe sent her over to help watch things; there is still looting going on all
over. Marlena says she is glad for the
company; she can tell something is wrong and tells Hope she is there for her,
anytime she wants to talk. Hope thanks
her. Jennifer comes in with a box full
of food; she says there are more in the car…the food drive was a success. They compliment each other’s strength; they
say they have a lot to live for, but Jennifer says she feels like they are
sitting ducks waiting for Orpheus to make his next move. Jennifer asks Hope about Aiden and his
warped plan to get her back, telling her she cannot go along with this. She asks why she would even consider
it. Jennifer tells Hope she won’t let
her be with that man again; Hope tells her she has to protect Rafe – this is on
her, and her alone, she says. Jennifer
says a judge and jury would feel differently; Hope says if she doesn’t play
along, she’ll have to leave her daughter permanently. Jennifer says she has to figure out a way out of this.
John, Deimos and Nicole discuss their plan
to catch Xander; Deimos claims they have him right where they want him, even
though he is still out there. He describes
their meeting at the hotel, and his offer to give up Teresa Donovan; he says
his nephew will be in for quite a shock once he realizes what’s in store for
him. Orpheus is getting agitated
because Xander isn’t responding to his texts.
He thanks his man for his help planting the bombs and asks if he is
clear on his mission; the man says yes.
Xander, holding a gun, says it’s time to “rock and roll.” John goes to get Xander, thinking he has him
in his sight, he tells him to drop his phone and put his hands up; a man, who
is not Xander, turns around and says he was just trying to call his girl. John tells him to get out of there; he calls
to report that Xander is still at large.
Deimos goes to meet him on the docks; he tells him that he will help
him, but he wants him to work for him in his Greek compound – but the deal is
that Victor, Brady, nobody can know about this deal. Xander asks about Teresa; Deimos tells him that he was never
going to let him have Teresa… and warns him that he better stay away from
Nicole as well, or he’s a dead man. He
tells him his boat awaits, but before he gets on it, he has to do Deimos a
favor; Deimos comes back to the mansion, with bruises all over his face, and a
bloody lip. He says Xander did it, but
he’s gone…for good, he tells them. He
claims Xander learned it was a trap, so he met him at another pier (Pier 9); he
said Xander got violent, and he shot and killed him, claiming Xander fell into
the river. Brady apologizes for not
believing in Deimos; he said he greatly underestimated his genuine concern for
their family. He extends his hand for a
handshake and thanks Deimos.
Orpheus
gets the call; everyone is right where they want them – Orpheus says, it’s
showtime. He calls John; John suggests he
turn himself in. Orpheus tells him they
are exactly where he wants them, and tells John to look under the table in the center
of the room to see for himself. There is
a bomb strapped to the table, with fifteen minutes on the timer, and counting down.
