Eric says hi, tells Nicole Holly is
beautiful, and says, “she looks like you.”
Brady talks to his father; he says he just didn’t know what was going
on. He said it makes sense now why
“Marlena” was saying the things she was saying; John asks what she said. He tells him about her accusing him of
reflecting his feelings about Nicole and Eric on them; Nicole plays with
Holly. Eric tells her she is really a
good mom; she admits that she didn’t always want to be a mom. Brady tells John that he jumped to some
conclusions that were wrong; but he realized that he is jealous of Eric for
some reason.
Nicole tells Eric that she
considered going back to work at the Center, taking Holly to the day care; he
tells her they all miss her there. She
says she has to go; he tells her to wait.
He says he just wants her to know that she deserves to be happy; she
tells him he does too, telling him he is one of the best people she knows. He looks at her lovingly and tells her he
just wants her to be happy; she tells him it sounds like he’s saying goodbye,
reminding him that they will be seeing each other – they are like family after
all. He says she and Brady just need
some time; he knows he has caused some trouble. Brady comes upon Nicole and Eric in the park; Nicole looks
guilty. Eric asks how Brady’s dad is
doing; Brady says he’s great. He says
no matter how hard Hattie tried to break them up, they have a relationship that
is unbreakable. Nothing could ever come
between them, he says; Eric says he needs to get back to the Center and
leaves. Brady tells Nicole they need to
talk, about them. He tells her he was
being a jealous jerk before; he knows nothing is going between her and Eric –
says he trusts them both – and tells her to call up Julie and tell her yes,
she’ll work at the Center.
“Adrian’s” new maid sits on the couch with her
feather duster and a bag of chips on her lap; Bonnie comes in and asks her what
she thinks she’s doing. She reminds
“Adrian” that she has all the power here; one word to one person in this house
about her not really being Adrian and her whole world goes up in smoke. She hands Bonnie the feather duster. Maggie comes in and finds “Adrian” dusting,
with “the maid” still on the couch; she asks what’s going on. “Adrian” claims to be giving her a
‘demonstration’ on how to dust her special little figurines; she kisses the
figurine and smiles at Maggie. Maggie
asks to speak to Adrian in private.
Maggie asks “Adrian” where she found this woman, reminding her that she
handles the staffing in this house. She
tells her a maid who needs a dusting lesson may not be the best choice for
their household; “Adrian” asks if Maggie expects her to fire her. Maggie agrees to give Sheila a chance, but
warns, one mistake and she’s gone; while finishing the dusting, Bonnie hears
the news of Hattie’s arrest. She drops
one of Maggie’s figurines.
Marlena goes to visit Hattie at the police station;
Hattie doesn’t want to talk to her, but Marlena says she wants to offer her the
chance to improve her situation. Hattie
agrees. She asks, “what’s up doc?” Marlena says she just wants to ask why;
Hattie says she’s sorry about the whole “shocking the brain business.” Marlena says she isn’t forgiving her, but
they may be able to make a deal. Hattie
raises her hand and swears that she will always be sorry for what she did to
Marlena and John Black. Marlena asks
Hattie who the “we” she was referring to, when she told her “we spiked the
strawberries” before she passed out; Hattie tries to avoid answering but admits
there was someone else involved.
Marlena tells Hattie if she was coerced into helping somebody, it could
help her out of this; she says she needs to tell her who it was, asking, “what
have you got to lose?” Hattie recalls
Angelika dropping dead; she and Bonnie blaming each other. She stands up and says she is ready to go
back to her cell; Marlena asks if she really wants to spend the rest of her
life in prison. She doesn’t say
anything; she tells the officer she wants to make a phone call. Marlena meets John for dinner; she tells him
Hattie was scared to tell her who she was working with. He says, regardless, the worst is over; he
just wants to hold her in his arms.
They kiss sweetly; Marlena smiles.
Claire talks to her grandmother on the
phone; she tells her thanks for her advice about Theo. Theo overhears and asks what advice she is
talking about; Claire claims it was just about being his friend. He says he’s glad she took her advice; she
says she is to. Tripp comes in with his
first box and asks if it’s a good time for him to move in; Claire smiles.
Theo tells him not to be late with his rent
and goes to his room; Claire tells Tripp he’ll come around. She says Theo’s problem isn’t with him, it’s
with her; Tripp asks Claire if she asked him to move in to make Theo
jealous. He tells her he’ll help
her. Theo comes out and starts helping
Tripp unpack; Tripp asks Theo if he would mind if he asked Claire out. Theo asks why he would mind, saying they are
just friend; later, he tells Claire that Tripp wants to ask her out and asks if
she will go. She says, “why not?”
commenting on what a nice, good-looking guy he is. She bounces away; Theo looks irritated. She comes back and says if “this thing with Tripp” works out, she
could have her boyfriend AND her best friend under the same roof. Theo inquires, “best friend.” She says yeah, that’s how she thinks of him;
she says it was hard at first, but she loves being his friend. She says this is so great; Theo says it isn’t
great, not at all. He tells her he
doesn’t want her to be Tripp’s girlfriend, because he wants her to be his
girlfriend and he kisses her.
